We were put into a handicapped accessible room which made us very uncomfortable. I seriously hope that someone disabled is not in need of this room. We asked to have another room and they declined said the hotel is sold out. There are only about 50 cars in the parking lot so it’s hard to believe that is true. The room is very dated, the rug is dirty and stained. I don't think they have vacuumed underneath the desk in years. You can see the dust. Overall very disappointed. Will not stay here again.

Good enough for our quick weekend in State College
Have stayed here with family or alone many times. The Penn Stater is a modern hotel with friendly staff, very clean, nice spacious rooms, comfortable beds, lots of small and large suites in addition to standard rooms which most often include pull out loveseats. Highly recommend if visiting Penn State. Shuttle bus if needed. A bit removed from the campus but 5 mins away. Overall great place to stay.
Shuttle was so convenient to the game. Ended up booking this at the last minute when our RV company canceled on us. So happy we did

Thank you for your review. I just checked the details on your booking and you did in fact reserve an ADA accessible room so we were just following the details on the reservation made. While I understand a room move may have been more comfortable, we were sold out in king rooms during your visit. We have a large student group in house who are having meetings on site and on campus being shuttled so they do not have vehicles with us. We are sorry that you did not enjoy your visit but we do hope that you change your mind and give us another chance some time.
