Absolutely adorable rooms, front desk staff so welcoming

We had a great stay, except that our room had HVAC units outside of it which were incredibly loud and disrupted our sleep.

This is the hotel I always like to stay at, although this is the first time it was not the Atherton. It's safe, convenient to downtown and has nice amenities. Didn't like the decor. The wallpaper in the hallways (books) is way too busy and it doesn't match the carpet. The restaurant area has far too many patterns going on. It looks a little tacky. Lastly, the shower floors are like skating rinks. Every single person in my family slipped even after we warned everyone. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The property is walking distance to the university, downtown restaurants and shops. I liked the decor inspired by Penn State school spirit. The staff was friendly. However, the elevators were broken with only one functioning during what was a busy student check-in weekend. This shows very poor planning on the hotel and customer service. My room was not clean and the shower curtain was stained, no attention to detail. Last, my room was located next to the dumpster and every morning I was woken up at 6:00 am by the loud trash pick up trucks (even on Saturday). I am extremely dissatisfied, not worth at all for the price I paid $$$$.

The staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel is a remodeled older hotel and I think the elevators should have been updated, too. Only 2 of the 3 seemed to work and they were SLOW. For the price I think you shouldn't have to pay for parking or $5 for a water bottle. Be careful where your room is. The 6:15 garbage pick up was not a great wake up call.

Great hotel on campus. Stayed in a suite - lots of space and very nice bathroom. Seemed very safe during Covid.

Very nice hotel in perfect location next to campus. Fresh renovation

Liked being close to Penn State and restaurants. Very clean. Disliked construction next door and the fact that anyone could enter the hotel to any floor through the elevators.

Very clean and quiet rooms. But confusing how to enter building and lobby. They need more staff at door and reception.

Nice update from atherton. Nicely decorated. Very loud outside from construction and heard lots of noise rom room next door

We usually stay at the Hyatt when we visit our daughter t

Recent remodel looks great. I’m sure the elevators are on the list to be updated but they definitely need it.

liked the downtown location, did not like the parking fee (though waived because my room wasn't available)

great location & clean rooms! Would recommend. Wish parking wasn't extra though.

loved it all staff was very helpful and very informed.

I am sorry there were a number of issues making your stay with us less than enjoyable. Unfortunately, when the hotel was renovated, they had opted to not replace the elevators. We have however sent the drives from the inoperable units to the company in Texas to rebuild and will hopefully get them back in operation by mid September if not sooner. Being downtown has its perks like location, however, SC Boro who has been contacted several times, are unwilling to switch the route to start on the end of town with less hotel/housing units. I hope you will give us another chance in future to serve you to a higher level of satisfaction
