Super strange hotel, but that is what I liked about it. Small older style rooms, beds squeaky. Lobby is like an old horror movie mansion which makes it fun and unique. Great gym that is in middle floor of hotel also strange. It’s the uniqueness that we enjoyed, and close enough to walk to everything
Didn't seem very friendly - very elitist.
Bare basics and good location. Check-in was ok. Won’t let you check-in until 4. Nothing early.
The staff. Very nice

Beautiful historic building. Room was comfy and they had a shuttle that dropped us off right in front of the stadium and picked us up afterwards. The downtown location was hard to beat. We were able to park the car in the garage and sightsee until check-in . Every staff member we met we friendly. Parking was an extra $18.
Time for a remodel
Staff were friendly but the rooms are dated, lacking basic things, and there is a step coming out of the bathroom that is dangerous. Biggest complaint though is the horrible smell of cigarette smoke in all of the elevators and in their parking garage elevators. It was unbearable.

It was a historic facility
Beautiful historic hotel, I loved the lobby. Room was small, but well appointed and very clean. My window looked out to a wall that was 5 feet away, so that was disappointing. The rooms also don’t have microwaves or refrigerators, but there is a communal microwave available on the 8th floor. Overall, I’d stay here again. It’s in a great location and the staff are welcoming and friendly.
Wonderful hotel. An old historic building but extremely well maintained and updated. Room was comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great location downtown close to everything. Definitely recommend!
The downtown MAC Is quite the interesting place. The formal feel of the 1950s and 1960s remains. And the beauty of a well built 125 year old building is superb. Many of the updates and fixes in the individual hotel rooms seem cheaply/poorly done.
the Missouri Athletic Club is a very unique property. Located in downtown St Louis, walking area from most every attraction, is full of history and glamour. Be aware, there is a dress casual if you Plan on dining anywhere in the hotel. Parking is complimentary and you can leave your car in the garage as you explore the city.
This property was beautiful, the food was excellent, the gym OMG, staff was beyond friendly and helpful. I cannot rave enough about the stay here. Excellent! Maybe one more light or outlet in the rooms for beauty purposes would be helpful but definitely not a complaint.
