Construction right by our room which starts early and wakes us up everyday early in the morning. Asian restaurant was closed which was one of the main reason why we booked this resort. Very hard to book restaurants

The worse service ever!!!! We. Checked in at 2:20pm did not get to our room until 1:30 later and our bags were still not there. The room was dirty, broken lamp, old furniture and there was also dust everywhere. The tub was yellow and the bed hard!! There is so much construction happening they should not put guests on that side. We fought to get a refund for 3 hours!!! Eduardo the supervisor kept hanging up on expedia and finally Expedia said they would refund us and we had to check out that same night find another hotel! We wasted our first day dealing with this and even after we asked for another room they said there were no options. I would never EVER stay at a Princess affiliated property!!! Rude rude staff and not a 5 resort that's a lie!!!

The hotel is really dated and although they are working on upgrades, a lot of things were closed without notification. Also, the staff is pretty miserable and vocal about it. It’s odd that there are no women servers in the “reservation “ restaurants and all the male servers wear double hair nets in the restaurants but but in the buffet- even the bald men. It’s a little creepy

Our first room needed a solid clean after the renovations, always felt like you were stepping on grout or small tile pieces. The maid did not seem to sweep the floor, we felt like grabbing thw broom in the hallway. We were moved to another room due to our toilet leaking and it was very satisfactory.

And there were many of the al a carte restaurants that were not open due to the renovations. Also the beach food area was also closed. And the carts near the pools were also closed for food

The room was nice but Leonardo the concierge was amazing took care of anything l needed. The animals “cayotas” not sure of spelling were a bit of a nuisance, as we weren’t able to open our patio doors where they will come in and rummage through things.

Everything was ok. Customer service 5/5. Aai called the front desk about something and they responded immediately until the issue was resolved. Food was okay (a bit repetitive), beach was not as nice and clean as I had thought as I have been to Playa del Carmen before and I had different expectations. Room had a bit of a musty smell. Also there was lots of construction going on so only one buffet was open.
