My loyalty to W Hotels has been lost tonight. I am organising a meeting in Singapore and persuade several of my team to stay at the W Hotel Sentosa Cove despite being out of town and therefore less convenient so we can prep over breakfast after a long haul flight. I use to like the hotel..... I am last to arrive at hotel and despite being SPG gold I am told no room for me - we all know hotels over book so after some garbage about a technical issue with my room I have to change hotels. Come on have some honesty here ! So have to cancel business meeting and to make it worse told that they can't guarantee the rate I will be charged for second night at new hotel despite it being Starwood's but I can change hotels back to the W Hotel Sentosa Cove they must me joking !!
Love the pool and the fact that it does not close even late at night. Rooms are spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable and nice. The sound system is top notch and the staff are well trained and professional. I see good improvements since my last visit. Good job.
Nice hotel, Great service, the room is gorgeous. Everyone in the hotel are accommodating and smiling, For sure we will back here again. Everything is great!!! Highly recommended place where to stay in Singapore.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, lovely modern & clean. Rooms were nice & big & bed extremely comfortable. The staff were very friendly & attentive. Would highly recommend it. The pool was lovely & good for children. Nice Bar & food was enjoyable.
-Booked over the phone while solving membership card issue and requested baby cot. -Arrived at 2.40pm but waited an hour to check in. It was long weekend so understand hotel is fully booked but no one guided me to SPG member counter. -room wasnt ready at 3.40pm! Compensated with drinking vouchers. Didnt want to ruin my holiday so didnt complain harf and accepted. Front desk explained the voucher is for any drink but bartender said only basic drinks. I double checked baby cot and was told we'll be called when the room is ready. - waited another hour and needed some toys for my 15mth old to entertain. Asked baggage team for my lugguage but it went to my room already. Complained and compensated with another drinking vouchers. -room was in perfect condition. But no cot. Decided to enjoy pool first. -pool was great and loved WetBar. Pizza and Corona in the pool. Wasn't easy to find empty sunbed though. -headed out for dinner as there are so many restaurants near hotel. -came back and found no cot in the room. Talked to front desk and was told no baby cot was available and there's no record in the system. He was staring me like I was lying. -complained through phone and the guy over the phone was more polite. Was explained they had been trying hard to find a spare baby cot in entire Singapore. But he stressed me ten times that there was no record on my request. -slept with my daughter in the same bed. Bed was cozy and large enough for 3 of us. My wife and I are average size Asians. As usual as my 15mth old had rough sleep so we didnt sleep well. This is why I always ask baby cot wherever I go and Im 1000% sure I requested a baby cot. I seriously treated like Im lying. -breakfast was above average but not great. Lucky I was able to secure the last baby seat. -check out was smooth. Overall facilities were great (there's kids pool but no kids room) but staff service wasn't at the same level as W HongKong, W Seoul and W Barvelona Tips; if you have a special request, triple-check it. Avoid Singapore's long weekend.
After staying at the W in Seminyak and being blown away, the W at Sentosa was a bit disappointing. From the start of our stay, we were told by the bell hops to take our bags to the lift so we could check in. Not sure what the bell hops job was supposed to be. But this was a consistent theme throughout the hotel with service. One time we ordered a drink by the pool to get it 70 minutes later. To be told that one of the bar staff had gone to lunch and that they served people who went to the bar instead of us. The rooms were good and followed the W theme. The main bar didn't seem to be open during the day, and would open at different hours each day. The main issue was the the hotel didn't seem to pitch to any particular group of travellers. Seminyak was clearly pitched to younger hip crowd. Sentosa had all shapes and sizes and a lot of families with young children. A good stay, just not a great stay
This place is truly heaven ... I had a lot of new experiences.. the staff and the views is really amazing ... but I only stay for 2 night :. This place is really recommended .. come with ur family there ...
This place is amazing. The rooms and pool area was spectacular that any other hotel we went to after was disappointing compared to the W. We had the 'Away' room with its own plunge pool which gave us a bit of privacy when needed.
This stay was planned as a romantic/family getaway for us as it was our 20th wedding anniversary celebration (which I planned as a surprise for my beloved wife) and a short break away from the city for everyone before continuing back to Malaysia for the summer break as it was my daughter's school holidays. Frankly, I made quite a few requests and not only the requests were all fulfilled, it exceeded my expectations. From the early check in and allocation of a temporary room to rest before moving to the suite allocated (complimentary upgrade due to Platinum status), to the 20th wedding anniversary surprise arrangements to the late check out; all the hotel staffs did their best to make sure we had a great stay and left the hotel satisfied, happy and rejuvenated! Accommodating, friendly, helpful, competent, knowledgeable bunch of hotel staffs, what else can I say? Every talent from the doorman, front desk, restaurants, housekeeping to the bar we just great! We would like to thank all the staffs we encountered during our stay, they made the big difference! It was a big WOW indeed! This is a great hotel to stay for a getaway from the city; well appointed rooms, excellent swimming pool, a spa (which unfortunately we did not manage to try out), good food in the restaurants and a couple of bars for drinks, there isn't a need to get out of the hotel should you decide to just lounge and relax for a few days! However, there are also food choices in the proximity of the hotel (just in front) if you want to venture out only nearby and not too far. We loved the suite that we were allocated with which has an excellent view and nice balcony to lounge in. The balcony was spacious and has a big lounge chair that you could take a nap in on a breezy day. The lounge/living area was spacious with comfortable sofa and a good work-station should you need to do some work. The bedroom is equally spacious with a super comfy bed and the bathroom is to die for with appropriate wet and dry area. Loved the shower stall which in my opinion is big in comparison to many other hotels. Complimentary shuttle buses are available to travel within the island, where it makes a stop at the Resort World (where we went for one day to enjoy the park) as well as until Vivo City mall which makes it quite convenient to get around after that with the efficient Singapore metro system. Otherwise, there is also the island commuter bus which goes all the way to Siloso Beach. Our only complaint was that the stay was too short! We will definitely be back again in the future to enjoy the resort hotel more. My daughter has in fact already asked to come again even before we checked out!
I had to wait in the lobby for an hour and a half until the official check-in time of 3pm to get a room, but not until I re-queued to enquire about the status. The check-in team failed to proactively approach all waiting guests about the availability situation, which I found absurd for a five star resort. The welcoming experience did not end there. After I received my keys to the room, they lost my luggage altogether for a good 60 minutes without follow-up. I had to call them 3 times from my room, reached out to 3 seemingly unaware parties, and finally marched down to the reception to personally retrieve my bag. Apparently, they misplaced my luggage and failed to label my bag earlier as there was no room assignment when I first checked in. I know these are unfortunate and isolated incidents but it sure leaves a very bad impression to the guest within the first 3 hours arriving at the property.
