My partner and I stayed for 4 nights during the Chinese New Year, and we had a wonderful stay. As Hyatt Globalist members, we had reserved a standard suite, but were pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade to a bi-level suite. This room had entrances both on the 20th and 21rst (top) floor of the hotel, and there was a circular staircase in the room leading from the main living room level to the bedroom and bath on the top level - very nice indeed! The main level had a large living room and separate dining area large enough to hold a meeting in. There was also a guest bathroom on the main level as well as butlers pantry area. The hotel had a wonderful Concierge Lounge (Grand Club) on the top floor of the hotel, and offered a hot and cold buffet breakfast, with multiple juices, pastries, berries, etc -very good quality and service too. Likewise in the evening, the hotel offered hors d'ourves and complimentary drinks, including several beers, wines, cocktails, champagne, soft drinks and bottled water. The evening food spread was quite elaborate and several people made this their dinner meal, although we went out for dinner each night. Considering the high price of alcoholic drinks in Singapore (maybe it's the tax, but drinks are quite pricey throughout Singapore compared to a large city in the US), the Concierge Lounge was a great perk. The wifi worked very well in the hotel, and like all of Singapore, the drinking water is safe to drink. There is a large and tropically planted pool area at the hotel, with lounge chairs, cabanas for rent, and is adjacent to a pool-side restaurant that hosts buffet barbecues on weekends. We had dinner at the buffet the last night we were there, and the all inclusive price included beer and wine which made for a lively crowd. Definitely make a reservation if you want to go to the poolside barbecue buffet. The hotel itself is quite large and spread out with shops, restaurants and ballrooms. The hotel is a short walk to the huge Orchard subway station, and other public transportation is right out front of the hotel. The subway is quite easy to navigate, and makes touring the city quite easy to do. We took a private tour for a couple days, and used the subway and buses with ease. If you have time, definitely head down to the wharf area and Marina Bay complex of hotels, restaurants and shopping. We took a cruise around there, and at night it was all lit up and lively; especially with the Chinese New Year festivities going on. The hotel is located on a busy street, but is comfortably walkable day and night with plenty of shops, restaurants, even McDonald's close by.. For the Hard Rock Cafe fans, there is one within walking distance of the hotel too. Chinatown is also a short subway ride away with it's many food stands and restaurants. Hawker Chan is a must if you go thru Chinatown, which advertises itself as the 'Cheapest Michelin-starred meal in the world'' - it's a fast food restaurant with delicious food, inexpensive prices, and lines that stretch out the door, and is actually Michelin-rated one-star! Our stay at the Grand Hyatt was very enjoyable and the staff and accommodations, as well as the Concierge Lounge were all tops in quality and service. The location is great and convenient to all that the multi-culturally diverse city of Singapore offers.
I along with some colleagues stayed for about 3 weeks at this hotel. First the location. its bang in the midst of the hub hub of Singapore. Very vibrant and fantastic location. The rooms are good and spacious while my suite was well laid out. The gym is well equipped though I did not try the pool, My long stay visit was comfortable though at times I found the service slow in areas of laundry pickup. I had to wait for some time before the staff turn up to collect. An area of improvement. The breakfast is well laid out and has some good Indian options. On the whole a comfortable stay.
An absolutely lovely place to hang out on a Friday night. It’s free flow cocktails, Prosecco and premium wines from 5.30-9.30 alongside a buffet of oysters, king prawns, salads and a great selection of bbq meats. Frances the Assistant GM deserves a special mention as he made sure we had everything we needed constantly making sure we were happy. A really lovely evening and at $88 a bargain. Highly recommended :)
Wonderful hotel with expansive grounds. Great service, facilities and at relative good value. Location also ideal for those wanting to be central to shopping district. The staff made me feel very welcome.
We stayed there for 3 nights with family. Location is great, almost on Orchand road with all shopping. Breakfast is amazing, you can find everything there from fresh juices to Asian food. Rooms are big and clean. Recommend.
Friendly staffs are there to meet your request and attention to details. Always ready to give advice on queries. Good location with easy access to Hospital, shopping Malls and self drive made easy because of its location. Offers variety of Asian foods at its Straits cafe with wide selections of local food , authentic and tasty with reasonable prices.
Beautiful property and amazing room! I loved this Grand Hyatt, wish I could have spent more than a couple nights. Staff was friendly and attentive, rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. Highly recommend eating at all the restaurants, the food was fantastic. While traveling, I read about the BBQ buffet and couldn’t wait to try it, but although the website says nightly, it is not. Other than missing the beloved BBQ buffet, no complaints! I would love to stay here with my family. *Head to the bakery after 8:30 for 50% off.
Grand Hyatt Singapore is well located on Scotts Rd, the entrance to the Hotel is indeed grand, the rooms are a little tied and in need of a refresh, bathrooms in particular had a 90,s feel about them, I found one aspect of the hotel extremely frustrating in that they do not have any printed newspapers or magazines in the hotel, they suggest you go to a particular website to access news, I found this difficult to navigate and gave up, as a solo traveller (most of the time) newspapers and magazines are important, this alone would make me not choose this hotel again
Excellent experience had - beautiful and genuine 5 star+ property, well located, quality amenities, faultless service, lovely pool and gym, good WiFi/connectivity, comfortable and clean. Staff eager to go the extra mile. Perfect location for proximity to Singapore's attractions and a wonderful choice for conference venue.
Just as we ascended the driveway to the front entrance still inside the taxi, my daughter screamed “we’re back!!!!” That’s the level of excitement and “looking forward to” by our family to this all time favourite. Service is still impeccable. We wished to change our room after check in and it was done without batting an eyelid and within seconds. Concierge helped us with dinner reservations and all kinds of requests. Deluxe room was good size and comfortable. And last but not least, we appreciated the prime location, just at the corner of Scotts and Orchard, so we could go anywhere without even getting wet from the rain. We look forward to being back on our next visit.
