Ion Hotel is a great spot for a romantic getaway. We went in the Winter where the 360 road that leads to hotel can be extremely tricky to manage. Once you arrive the actual hotel features are wonderful. It is quite small but they include a great peaceful lounge, a pool area with sauna and separate ...

This property was new and modern and clean. The staff was helpful, breakfast was great and they have free parking. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay as they explore the south of Iceland.

New, great owners and excellent food, just a bit off the road...

The hotel is comprised of many smaller buildings scattered across the property and it has lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast included with our suite was great and the staff were courteous and attention. The only issue while we were there is that the hot tub that was near our ...
Our first room was older and had a bad smell. Luckily the front desk attendant moved us with no problem to another room that was newer and had no smell. Good hotel and had a nice restaurant with a great view.

Hotel staff never heard of Bobby Fischer even though they had lived there 12 years. My wife hurt here wrist and needed to ice it and was told to go to the market and buy a giant bag. We didn’t do the cold breakfast because it sounded lame. The room and location was great.

Stayed 2 nites. Everything was wonderful. Room clean. Updated and very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner in restaurant were excellent. Great experience. Would recommend.

Breakfast was awesome ! Lots of yummy cheese, dried fruit, yogurt and meat options. Room was good, shower was somewhat fussy. Too bad the main hangout area, with ping pong table and couches and a cute parrot, closed at 11:00 pm. Loved this place!

Beautiful views, convenient location, nice goats. Well appointed room with cook top and refrigerator. Close to horseback riding and some of the best waterfalls.
