Motel 6 Providence East

2.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Dirty, cob webs, vending machine broken, toilet broken, uncomfortable bed, no kleenex, no shampoo or conditioner, no blow dryer, dog barking, loud guests yelling and screaming and fighting.

Clean bed was clean like the table but most important thing for me a clean room and it was perfect location too

Very, very dirty. You also couldn't find the staff at times.

I have stayed at the Motel 6 Seekonk several times and it is consistent in providing a clean room and a friendly staff at a great value. For those traveling with pets it is especially accommodating. If you are expecting a Four Seasons Resort property with amenities galore, this would not be a great fit, but it is a great fit in providing comfortable accommodations at a very reasonable price. The area offers many local restaurants and stores in close proximity. Providence is a quick 10-minute drive. I would recommend this property for anyone looking for a simple, clean room at a great price, with a friendly staff to assist with basic needs.

Great price. Clean. Safe & convenient. I didn’t pay for or expect luxury.

For $100 a night vs the closest competition at $300+, you can’t find a better deal.

This motel 6 was a little better then I expected, I like the new updates. However, the hallways smelled really bad, and the towels had someone else's hair on them, glad I brought my own. The fire alarm went off at 7 am, which was a huge inconvenience. I checked the mattress for bed bugs and didn't find any, and woke up bite free which confirmed it was free of bed bugs. Dont expect 4 or 5 stars from this hotel, but if you need somewhere to stay for a night while traveling thru, then this motel is a good option.

Everything was excellent and will stay there again!

I realize this is a budget hotel, so I expected things to be a little older and musty (there was definitely a mold and smoke smell in the hallway), towels were definitely in need of replacing. This isn't about that. The staff originally gave me a key to a room that was being occupied by another person. I was given to the key to another room, and immediately noticed cockroaches running around on the walls. At night those same roaches came up from under the mattress and were visible on the sheets of the bed. I was there for two nights, and the cleaning crew did not visit my room in that time to make beds, take out trash, add fresh towels. It suggests that the hotel staff is not keeping records of which rooms are and aren't occupied. The room itself was tidy and surfaces were clean when I arrived, so I think the vermin is a building-wide problem, and not related to any particular member of the cleaning staff.

Check in was ok. Room was a big disappointment. Furnishings consisted of a bed, a long credenza type piece of furniture that served as dresser/desk/shelves/tv stand, a small table and 2 wooden straight-back chairs. No shampoo in the bathroom, and the bath towels are small for anyone except those 10 years old or less. Definitely not worth the room rate. We won't be using the Motel 6 chain of hotels again. On the plus side, the staff was very nice and friendly and the room was clean.

Little dirty, but not bad and quite spacious. Really reasonable cost and good location.

We had difficulties staying at the hotel because of a blizzard that caught us by surprise. While the Orbitz representatives were very understanding and tried to facilitate a refund, one of the hotel staff members was absolutely horrendous. Her junior co-worker had tried his best to mediate the situation, but she was angry, disgruntled, and incredibly rude. She even yelled at the poor Orbitz representative who was also on the phone with us. Even if we had been able to stay, I would not have wanted to stay at the hotel on her shift; she acted like she just wanted to make everyone miserable. 0/100 for her. Very grateful to other staff members and Orbitz representatives who tried to intervene.

The room was very clean. The hotel was quiet and the staff was helpful and kind to my family and especially to my grandchildren with Autism....
