Ah where do I start. I love this hotel. Stayed here once with work and now last night with my young family. I tried last minute to book a room, escaping a disaster holiday and was fortunate to get an absolutely beautiful room (well more of a suite). My kids were thrilled and ran about like maddies, so happy to have such a posh room, right next to the swimming pool. I have been quite unwell of late and delighted to have some peace and quiet to unwind and relax, which i certainly did. I felt so much better in the morning, my kids were happy, slept like babies and we all enjoyed our lovely breakfast. Thank you very much. Still can't get over our room. Next time I book, am going to try and get the same room!! I'm still smiling thinking about it!
Hotel was busy during my stay, there was an event on in the local area. Parking was limited. There was a slight mix up on checkin which was rectified. My double room was to a high standard to be expected for a hotel like this. Standard amenities but no 'extras'- competitor Best Western provide cold refreshments and snacks, take note! But room was a good size and clean. Bathroom had lovely spacious shower. Bed v comfortable for me and wasn't disturbed. Buffet breakfast served from 7AM. Probably needed additional servers when busy, save congestion (only one slow toaster) overall a comfortable stay
Had a few days stay at this Hotel and found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Large comfortable room but expected some bottled water and a bathrobe which are standard in other hotels of this quality. Good sized bathroom with everything you would need. Great breakfast buffet with choices to suit all tastes. Didn't eat dinner in the restaurant but ordered from the bar and meals were well presented, plentiful in quantity and flavoursome. Easy walk into the town centre which has good shopping and interesting museums and galleries. Would recommend the hotel to friends and will stay again on our next visit to Inverness.
Stayed at the hotel from 2nd Feb until 4th of Feb. Had a really quick check in and staff were very friendly. Had to ask directions a few times to the reception staff and they were more than willing to help us out. We didn't have an evening meal so cant comment on that although the menu looked great but the breakfast we had was amazing. Room we had was very big and the bed was really comfortable. Bathroom was big and had shower as well as a bath. Only issue we had over the weekend was that we one night there was a function on and we had to park quite a bit away from the hotel entrance as the car park was full at the front of the hotel I would recommend this hotel to everyone and hopefully be back soon
Just returned to Edinburgh after an absolutely first class stay in the Kingsclub. Very spacious, clean and comfortable accommodation with a fantastic view from the private balcony overlooking the golf course. The Kingsclub is quiet and secluded but within easy reach of the main hotel. Great choice of food and drink especially for the whisky connoisseur. Super Scottish Breakfast and an excellent choice of dinner menus. Friendly and attentive staff too. Thoroughly recommend it and I know we will be back soon.
I've been fortunate enough to stay at the Kingsmills hotel a few times on business. It is only 10 minutes walk from the town centre but far enough out that it has space to sprawl out and give it's guests huge bedrooms and a really friendly service. I love the whisky library by the bar!
On arrival we had a lovely welcome and we were fine with our room (comfortable, beautifully done with a lovely view over the garden) but in a very short while we realised we could hear everything our neighbour did through the door linking us. It might just as well have been wide open. We moved to another room which was superb and had no adjoining door. Breakfast was self service and there was plenty to chose from. I wish I’d had the time to try out the spa.
I haven’t been here for a few years but my stay was even better than I expected. The reception staff were excellent as was the food in the bar and breakfast. It won’t be too long before I revisit. The spa is excellent after a hard days work. This is much better value than an economy hotel chain.
Great hotel, ample parking and attentive reception. I have stayed here many times. The hotel does great entertainment for tourists with pipers dancers and haggis. It is a little twee but I can't help but smile. The food is good if a little more expensive than alternatives in the city.
Stayed for 5 nights in December for work. Paid extra to stay in garden rooms, which are superb. Rooms are clean and tidy. Breakfast 8/10, good selection and good quality. We ate out at Inverness's best reviewed tripadvisor restaurants most nights, however one time we tried the conservatory/ a la carte. We made a reservation in the morning but we were refused a table (or a two hour wait) as it was too busy. We were allowed to sit at the bar area and order off the a la carte menu. Other guests were also turned away or made to wait. During our meal which overlooks the restaurant area there were four tables which nobody sat for the duration of our meal. I ordered scallops which came undercooked and were raw in the centre. It took 15 minutes to catch someones attention, and they were hesitant to send them back. Once they came back they were cooked well but very heavily seasoned with chilli. It then took another hour before the mains arrived and it was cold. We were promised someone would speak to us to apologise but we didn't hear anything. I would recommend this hotel to anybody who is just looking for accommodation, but the evening food service is disappointing.
