Lovely family break away for two nights. Not many hotels accommodate a family of five in one room so having this feature was definitely a big bonus point for us. The room we were allocated was right next door to the leisure centre so fantastic for the children just to put on their swimming costumes and head straight to the pool in the morning. Service and food were also amazing. Definitely recommend for a family holiday and a must that we’ll be back.
Wonderful hotel. Staff very helpful and and friendly. Food is amazing. Would of been 5 star but the room was cheap. Bed was very comfortable. The let down was the bathroom. It smelt musty and was not as clean as it needed to be and floorboards squeaked. Only needed to roll over in bed and it made the wardrobe move. The blinds was fraying and the pull cord was broken. Very expensive wine. Check your bill after as we had someone else's drink on our account. I didn't complain as we only stayed one night and the meal and staff make up for the faults. I do recommend this hotel however the room we stayed in was cheap so looks like you really do get what you paid for. Sorry for the bad pics. Forgot to take them before we stayed the night 😂
One of the best stays I've had in a hotel. Everything was spotless, the room had the biggest bed I've ever slept in and very comfortable, Delicious breakfast with an enormous selection and a beautiful dining room.I would stay her again if in Inverness as it was only a 10 minute walk into the city centre. Handy for golfers as it overlooks Inverness GC next door
Broke our journey home with a one night stay here. And what a treat it was! First met by a smiling lassie at reception who was very polite and answered any questions I had. Then to the room. Wow! It was very large, exceptionally clean and in very good order. The bed was very comfortable. I had booked for Dinner and it was just excellent. They made me a small green salad for a starter as I wasn't too hungry. We had salmon and chicken for mains which were cooked to perfection. We shared the cheeseboard which was very tasty and plenty of cheese and oatcakes. Staff were very attentive but not too intrusive. A thank you to the restaurant manager for his kind help when I felt a little unwell during the meal. I recovered well and he had made sure that my dinner was kept warm while I was indisposed. I know where I will be staying when I come back this way. Great hotel and staff who are a credit to the owners.
I stayed here in a ground floor twin room with my Autistic teenage son for 3 nights as part of a wider tour of Scotland. This was our first time staying here and we most certainly will return. The staff are plentiful, helpful and very attentive. The room was great, roomy and nicely heated given how cold it was outside. The food was good, breakfast a really nice spread. The staff did well to 'manage' some of the other nationalities staying at the hotel who seem to find waiting their turn to be seated a challenge. Good to see and great customer handling skills! Can't think of anything more. We booked direct with the hotel many months in advance and that seemed to have secured us a very good deal in terms of the advertised room rate at reception.
Had a great stay. Enjoyed drinks in the bar, very friendly staff. The room was stunning, large, nicely decorated with a huge bathroom that was well appointed. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet and excellent. We walked into Inverness in 10/15 mins. Also enjoyed a trip to Culloden which was about 10 min drive away.
The hotel is very comfortable and well appointed. It's a walkable distance from the railway station and is situated in lovely grounds. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfasts offer a wide choice of food. I took advantage of the swimming pool each morning and enjoyed using the jacuzzi and steam facilities. Dinner in the restaurant uses Scottish produce and the fresh fish was particularly good. The only downside of eating in the restauarnt is that the menu doesn't change, everyday, which wasn't a problem over two nights, but we opted to eat out on the third night as only the same four choices were available on the set menu. There were difficulties with the wifi which was out of action for a day during our stay. Partly due to poor coverage in the older part of the hotel and we felt the hotel needed to improve arrangments for restoring the whole system when it went down. All in all a lovely hotel to stay in and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the friendly staff.
My son and I stayed for four nights so we could visit friends nearby. The hotel itself is very lovely with comfortable and relaxing furnishings and great facilities for all ages from the lounge area where you can relax with a fantastic coffee to the whisky bar that I didn’t spend enough time in. We greatly enjoyed the swimming pool too. The two outstanding things for us were the brilliant staff (nothing was too much trouble) and the amazing food. I’m already missing our breakfasts. I hope we get to return really soon. Thanks to all for making ours such a special trip.
The kingsmills hotel was beautiful and short drive to city centre and/or edge of Loch Ness. Our large room seemed to have been recently refurbished (apart from bathrooms that were a little dated but extremely functionable and water pressure excellent). Staff were both attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. Will certainly visit again and would highly recommend!
We recently stayed here on a family vacation (2 adults, 2 kids ages 9 and 11). The hotel itself was beautiful, our room was great and the staff was very friendly. The location was a little further away from shopping/sightseeing than we would have liked, but at least it was a pretty short/inexpensive taxi ride. There is a pool and hot tub, but they are in the spa area...so while kids are welcome in there, it’s really not the pool they were hoping for.
