Out of the 4 hotels, we stayed at during our recent vacation to Greece this hotel disappointed me the most. A not-so-good location it was far away from Fira which was the main point where one could catch a bus from. The hotel seemed fabulous in the pictures, but was a Bed and breakfast and not a Hotel. There was no in room service facility or a restaurant, so if you had breakfast you did otherwise bad luck, you missed it! There was no coffee or tea facility to begin with. We paid a bomb to stay here, and what we got was a location at the backend of the hotel. Rooms with lot of mosquitos, uncomfortable bed and extremely small sized room. The staff was uncooperative, specially the manager with the beard. My sister suddenly fainted and fell down while we were sitting and waiting at the reception for our driver to come and pick us up for our tour for the day. The checkout time was 12 and we requested him if we could stay for another hour or so, since it was an emergency and she needed rest but he was extremely rude about it and refused outright. How can someone be so heartless? One could easily allow and accomodate the guests checking in by 2pm and be thoughtful. Where is humanity lost? On the other hand, a foreign tourist came in being uninformed (or being pretentious) of her check in time and came back at 12:30-1pm from the beach and the manager just told her in one line about the miscommunication of the checkout time. However, she was allowed time to change, pack etc. This was the worst hotel experience I have had till date. Not to forget, the food was horrible and they would serve cold pizza on the name of a fresh pizza. Very small dining room, and less variety of breakfast.
We had the good fortune to stop at the hotel after an earlier holiday disaster. The kindness and hospitality was very much appreciated. Round the corner was the beach, very good bars and restaurants. The pool area was great and rooms air-conditioned, comfortable and clean. Thank you Drossos Hotel. Particularly the really helpful gentleman on reception who was a delight to talk to (in word-perfect English) and gave good recommendations.
Stayed with a kid 4 years old for two weeks at this lovely place. Actually there's no facilities for children in this hotel, but I'm really boring to go Egypt or Turkey just cause of animation. The beach's in 5 min by walk from the hotel, it's nice and clean. There are also an aqua-park near the hotel with 6 euro cost entrance. The hotel is ok, I cannot find any bad emotion in my memory about it.
Stayed for 7 nights slightly concerned having read the previous review however the room was cleaned daily including clean towels. Nothing was too much for the amazingly friendly staff, breakfast although basic was very nice, great base to explore santorini.... well worth hiring an ATV to explore all the fabulous sites of the island. It may be a little pricey however that is not the Greeks fault it's down to the extremely weak pound, having visited most of Europe I can recommend this as a must do...
We stay in this hotel from 10.06.2017 and it was sell like 4 star hotel. Till 5 day the towels were not changed also and sheets . After our complaint we receive clean one, but we have to change it by ourselves. On the six day the dirty sheets still were in our room on the corner where we left them. The room were not clean since first day of our stay. After second complaint the manager of the hotel was really root and told me if I do not like it to change the hotel or I have to pay for this 4 star hotel, even it was already paid.
My Husband and I recently stayed at Drossos for part two of our honeymoon, it was such a great choice! The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff and we were welcomed all through our stay. We were given a bottle of red wine as a complimentary wedding gift, eventhough we don't drink it was a very kind gesture. The location was great, 5 mins walk to Perissa beach and the hotel was very clean, we were pleased with the swimming pool and breakfast. It was a lovely hotel and we would highly recommend it!
None of the photos do this hotel justice. The location is perfect, opposite a supermarket, metres away from a local busstop, bars, restaurants and a short stroll to a magnificent beach. The staff can't do enough for you and speak several languages. I have seen variety at the breakfast buffet and it's more than adequate. Another thing I appreciated about this hotel was the amount of individual travellers, all from different parts of the world. No big groups or rowdy revellers. It's like an oasis of peace if you like that as the grounds lead away from the busy main street. I'd book it again without hesitation.
Horrible. Worst food I ever ate in my life, horrible service. A full horror story. I cursed the moment I chose this horrible place. Did I say it was horrible? And windy as hell at the bar in the evening.
I am so happy for this very good choice that we do with my wife... clean, quiet for a good sleep, delicious breakfast with lot and fresh choices, frendly staff, many choices for nightlife and food around the hotel and a very nice place to play mini golf and have fun with your childrens!!! 100% recommend!!!!
We have stay 7 nights and we had surprise to have same poor breakfast every morning, after two days I asked Romanian manager George to make some changes ,not only boiled eggs, but without success. First night this guy sent us to take our dinner to a restaurant near God's Garden, but it was expensive and not very good, second day went in this location(God's Garden) and it was ok. I have wrote on other site one review and this guy threatened me that will be very wrong for me if I come back in Santorini !!! The room it was ok,location is not so far to Perissa beach, one market is near to the hotel, and for a boat trip to vulcano you have to try on the other side of the street where is a rental car and trip location.
