I love it, it’s my favorite hotel in New Mexico, the only thing I didn't like was that there was no buffet and the restaurant only opens on weekends.
We were in Room 336. It was inconvenient and disappointing to find that the ice maker on the 3rd floor was out of order. The only lights in the ‘bedroom area’ of our room were the two lamps attached to the wall above each of the queen beds. These were barely adequate for reading. Our room desperately needed either a floor lamp in the corner by the table or a lamp on the table. The lack of light in that corner rendered the table useless after dark.
Hotel was nice. Front desk located in casino is inconvenient. Casino atmosphere carries into hotel and its most notable on first floor.
The buffets were amazing! The room was excellent too, it would have been amazing as well if we would've had a tub instead of only a shower.was still a great room
Noisy casino night dwellers, avoid non-smoking "smoky" first floor!
Stayed one night spent most of the time in casino. Our room was not available but the staff worked to get us a non smoking room, the entire hotel smelled of smoke for someone with allergies this was not good. They also said there was a breakfast buffet included in our package, we did not get a buffet but we did get a breakfast that included eggs sausage, toast and hash browns, and juice or coffee. Also this hotel does not have Queen size beds they are only double beds.
Was a short stay, but the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Great shower, but what I really liked was the pillows on the bed. Wish I had them at home.
The location was perfect. We went to Taos Pueblo, Chimayo, Bandalier National Monument, Los Alamos, and toured Santa Fe all within easy and short driving distances. The price was good for the area and allowed us to be in the center of our sightseeing tour. The only thing missing at the hotel was something besides the pool for teenagers to do(bowling, arcade games) while we enjoyed the casino. I would recommend the hotel for travelers wanting to see that area without paying high prices and doing alot of extra driving. Bobbye Horton
The hotel was easy to find. There was a strong wind, so no one used the outdoor pool which was disappointing. The room was clean, roomy, and quiet. We were grateful that the room didn't smell smoky though the casino was awful in this regard. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel for two meals. The food was good but the service both times was slow and it appears the whole casino/hotel might be understaffed right now. Check in was laborious with only one desk person. There were four parties waiting in line at one point. The check in person, thus, was abrupt and not friendly. The wifi worked great.
