Nice location, friendly staff. The room needed some repair, bathroom door was cracked. The bath tub had hair in it from the previous guests. Breakfast in the morning was a nice surprise.

Wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley, decided to try to not be on congested freeways so I opted for a place on HWY9 in the redwoods. Likeable staff and enjoyable facility, easy parking and a short walk to restaurants etc.

Decent breakfast, room is clean and staff is friendly. Internet speed is very slow. Great location for folks who like hiking in nearby redwoods state parks

Hotel staff was friendly and check in was easy. View and the grounds of the hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The room was "average" to "below average." The beds were comfy and the bathroom was cleaned, but so old it cant really be cleaned well (mold in the caulking). We were only staying 1 night so we figured we would just take showers in the next hotel so it was fine for us. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast, but was kept stocked and cleaned. The sitting area for breakfast is pretty small- plan on taking it back to your room. All in all- if you are staying 1 night - just passing through- Id stay again. But I would not be able to stay in this hotel for multiple days.

Unable to use wifi. Signal strength to router appeared to be adequate, but I think there was a problem before the router as my device would not link up enough to allow me to enter password. Room smelled of body odor even though I did not arrive until 10pm. Not a whole lot of other options in area.

Beautiful surroundings and very nice owners. Breakfast area very well maintained and stocked. Total non smoking property, which was great. Only complaint was our room smelled musty, but it is a very moist environment there in the forest, it just didn't smell fresh...

Good place to stay in the redwoods. Clean, fairly quite, good prices, and very nice staff.

I guess I've been spoiled from my trip from Ohio to Cali. Some Inns on the way was $110 per night with all the freebies. It is better than the inn I stayed at in san diego but the price comparison is kinda poor. Good: Bed Quiet Bathroom door is actually a door Breakfast -Waffle Maker (Fill it to the brim to make good ones) [A lot of do it yourself food] This cool looking castle next to it Parking Lot Semi close to Safeway/Drug store Bad: No Fan in Bathroom No Safety Rail in Bathroom (Didn't bother me) - Chipped Coffee Pot tip Water was in the Coffee maker (not the pot) before I even used it Coffee Pot had stains on it, water smelled like coffee... - Bottom Hinge of door came loose on the last day. Guy up front didn't even bring tools to do a quick fix "I'll tell the manager" is all I got. Small Breakfast Area (Not enough tables) AC's Control was a bit off (hard to control) Neutral: As usual, that pathetic parent pair that does not restrain their child from running at night while others are trying to sleep. Shame really, parenting, but that's another story. Ice Maker is near their front desk Pool looks alright (Didn't use it) What it has: HDMI capable TV (used this for streaming from laptop) Free Wifi (lacks ethernet for faster net) Bathtub/Shower combo (decent) Plastic cups/Heat holding cups Coffee/Decaf + sugar+etc... Sink Outside of Bathroom area 2 Trash Cans Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand Soap Plenty of Lamps Okish Curtains AC Overall, not too bad for the price considering all the prices around were the same or ghetto for lower. Not too far of a drive to Beach Boardwalk I would stay here again. I liked being surrounded by trees, blocked a lot of the road noise.

It is nestled in the Ben Lomond woodsy area by Henry Cowell State Park and Mt Hermon Resort, which is a cool place to hike around. Not far from Santa Cruz. I was happy to go into town and then retreat back to the mountain resort. Walked to the cute Market down the street and enjoyed the whole area. I had room 124 next to the Suite, so I loved the seclusion of the room too.

This hotel is placed in a lovely setting against redwood trees. The front desk staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We were impressed with the room amenities (microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, seat in the shower for the elderly and differently abled). The closet was large, and the television had the biggest screen of any hotel we've ever been too. We stayed for just the night, but we definitely wanted to stay longer, the bed was so comfortable. We are definitely going to come back!

Unfortunately this room smelled like urine and body odor. We were in the room for multiple days, and the odor did not improve. I would not recommend this hotel based on how much the odor in our room bothered us.

There was no lobby to sit in for the whole family to get together and talk. We had three rooms, [...] We could not sleep on the sofa. The swimming pool was terrible.

Rode up to San Fran, & down to big sur. Of course Santa Cruz Boardwalk for the corn dogs, and the dipper. Town was nice to walk around. Extremely happy that I booked this one. Very clean and noise free. Free breakfast was enjoyable while watching the scenery.

I went on a mid-week getaway in the middle of February with my boyfriend. It was wonderful. We were the only guests, so it was quiet and the check-in went very smoothly. The rooms are clean and inviting. For a chain hotel, it definitely met expectations, however, i imagine the experience may be a little different on a weekend in july.

The room was adequate and clean. Service was great. Very polite and cheery. The breakfast in the morning was perfect. I would stay there again.

We 3 girls were going to the area to run half-marathon. A nice young man checked us in on arrival. We let him know that we were running in the AM. He was helpful with directions. Room was clean. After the race we were late getting back to our room because one of us took longer to complete the race than expected. Check out was 11:00. It was 11:40 when we got back to room. We went in immediately to let them know we were back and were sorry for being late. They had locked our door to our room. The girl at the desk was extremely rude, stating "You need to be responsible". She was not going to let us in to get our belongings. She stated if we wanted to take a shower we would have to pay for half a day and stated we should have planned better. We got out of the room in 5 minutes. I admit we were about an hour over the check out time, but there was no need to be so rude. Myself and my 2 friends travel to multiple races a year (10 to 20) and have never had anyone be so rude and unwilling to work with us. I would never stay here again, and will pass on this information to anyone traveling to Santa Cruz area.

I enjoyed the in room refrigerator as well as the coffee pot. I really appreciated the closet with enought hanging space and air conditioning system. The air conditioning kept the room nice and cool. The hotel check in and out was fast and easy. There is only a few things that I did not like about this hotel; The bathroom had a slight smell of urine, and the bath tub looked a little dirty, other than that it was a great hotel, especially when considering the price.
