Neat little place to visit. Check-in guy was friendly. Room was comfortable and although the roads getting to it were very curvy, we enjoyed our short time there.

Has seen better times

A nice area, but the hotel needs a new remodel or upgrade. Everything is just okay, but could be better.

Loved the historical context of this place. You can tell it had it's good times and now is aged out of much of it's glory. Some rooms were better than others. We stayed Monday and Tuesday so the lodge was closed. The view from patio was nice from top but kind of loud. It was a decent place to stay for a couple nights to see the area.

This is a nice stop for exploring the redwood forests of Henry Cowell and other State Parks nearby. It’s nestled in the redwoods in small mountain towns. It’s not walkable to other places. The lodge rooms are large and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean.

Cool little hidden gem. Rooms weren't anything to write home about but it's a beautiful area, room had a balcony, there was live music being performed in the little bar on property there was also a diner. Only complaint was the treacherous windy road I had to drive to get there lol

Floors & walls are very thin. Stay on the top floor! Don't let them tell you they won't put anybody above you. Someone will be put above you… You can hear every step.

This place is so cool. There’s a lot of history and different parts of the hotel to explore. Unfortunately, most things were closed when we stayed (Sunday night into Monday morning), but we still got a chance to visit the bar. The bartender let us order, even though he was closing and then even took us to see the old hotel with the river that ran through it. We lost power for a few hours during the night, which was a bit spooky, but only added to the experience in the end. Now we have a great story to tell everyone. 😁

Wonderful quiet historic setting. Short drive to some unique restaurants. Reasonably priced. Nice patio or balcony. $50 a day extra for a small quiet dog is a bit steep but still a fair price. Close to Santa Cruz and San Jose by car in the Redwood forest...heavenly!

This is definitely a quaint option but so cute for the area and rooms were very clean. Front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Walls were thin and could hear neighbors walking around very easily but to be expected in an old building. Would stay here again.
