Stayed only one night but wished for more. Stayed on a 4th floor executive suite with vaulted ceiling & ocean view. Could lay in bed & watch the waves. Great surfer decor. Walking distance to wharf. Highly recommend!

Lovely! Best spot in Santa Cruz. we stay here every year. Rooms are great. Verve coffee in lobby.

This is a beautiful hotel located right on the beach. We stayed on the 5th floor of the Tower and our view was spectacular. The beds were comfy and the room was spacious and clean. There is beach access from the hotel with shower heads to rinse off afterwards. The pool was amazing. The elevators are small and stuffy but operated find. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We love this place! We have gone often! We love the restaurant. Super swanky. The main issues are around the staff and some of the amenities. Hotel that's on the beach should have at least for volleyballs and some beach toys for people to use. Especially if people are coming from out of town. They should also have some games for the kids to play. The woman I spoke to at the front desk made it seem as if they were going out of their way even having one volleyball that had already been checked out. She had said that no one returns then so it's too expensive for them to keep them. Volleyballs are $10. Charge people if they don't return them . Seems simple. Also I'd be great if they had someone walking around the pool just enforcing some rules. I felt as if I had to be a hotel employee telling kids not to dive headfirst or do flips into the pool. it became dangerous

I love looking out my balcony and seeing the ocean, wharf and boardwalk. P

If I recommend one hotel in Santa Cruz area, this is it. The pool is fantastic and beach access is easy. I stayed at the 4th level and the view is just a picture. I enjoyed surfing and there was no need to worry about taking a shower or changing clothes because the hotel is just on the beach for surfing.

We absolutely love this hotel! We will definitely be back. Great hideaway.

We had a cloud tower suite and it was amazing. Waking up to the view was impeccable and the room was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff is what truly made the stay great. Specifically the valet team. They were amazing and before I could ask for help they were already tending to my need

The front desk area has one bathroom, a uni sex bathroom. It was occupied for a good 30 minutes by an employee!! The front desk wouldn't get us a room earlier than the checkin time, but was able to get every other person into a room early. Even at the 4pm check in, they still had to check and see if our room was ready. Everything else was great!!!

It is ideally located close to the beach, pier and Boardwalk. The hotel was recently remodeled so everything was like new. The staff was great. Easy check in and out. It was our 30th wedding anniversary, and the hotel made it great. Thanks, Dream Inn.

Excellent location. Get an ocean view room if you can, its worth it. Great staff, super clean.

Trip was nice and staff was friendly. There is a $25 daily parking charge they don't tell you about until you get there.

We had stayed once before and it was wonderful! This time not so much. Granddaughter was swimming in pool at evening time, she got out and was towel drying and looking at beach and said grandma what are thoughs things...grandma replys little dogs, oh no grandma they are mice! OH CRAP RATS BIG RATS!!! Time to go. We paid well over one thousand for two nights....on to the next.

DREAM INN was super fun & memorable! We loved the retro mid century modern vibe, from the funky, bright decor to the Jack O'Neill memorabilia at the lounge (the site of his first surf store). With a 6 yr old, we found it incredibly family friendly- I had to beg him to leave the pool (very clean with plenty of towels & food service, late hours, plus a bar, thank God) once in a while to dry off & rest! The beach in front of the hotel was great too, with restricted access- they will claim that it's "private" but in truth the residents whose homes face it can easily use it; also, during our stay the Santa Cruz Junior Lifeguards were using it very early in the mornings for training. Obviously it's a great program- as parents we loved the idea- but the screaming of 70+ kids doing burpees/ jumping jacks/ running laps was a bit much. Nonetheless, it only lasted a few hours in the morning. With our hotel key we were able to go back & forth from the beach to the pool at will... even got to watch my husband take surfing lessons. And it's a very short walk to the Boardwalk. THE BEST PART? The food! Santa Cruz can be a trap for greasy boardwalk food & touristy fried seafood... But Aquarius was delicious, offering higher end options (healthier too!) alongside a nicely executed (read, thoughtfully cooked & presented- not reheated from a box), fresh kids menu! We ate breakfast there all 3 days, dinner twice of our 3 nights. All in all, there's no other hotel I'd choose in Santa Cruz!

Great hotel! Amazing views, location, and super friendly staff. Pleasant, modern decor. Delicious breakfast at the adjoining restaurant. Super fun pool and a great place for our family (including 4 kids) to stay. Love!

During our visit the hotel was hosting the Wounded warriors group. Each warrior was paired with a partner that assisted them in surfing & bar-b-gue on the beach for two days.I,m very proud of these solders, volunteers, and the dream inn.It humbled me.

Awesome view, nice pool area. The bed was very comfortable. Easy to hear noise from neighboring rooms and upstairs. Shower door did not have a good seal and there was no fan in the bathroom. Could be a bit nicer for the price.

Great place right on the beach. I little noisy at night when people drag furniture across pool deck and rear balconies.

Friendly staff and a clean room was a great way to start our trip. So many places to walk and so many things to do. House keeping does a great job.

My wife and I had a very nice stay. The view from the room was great and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be going back for another stay.
