A Lovely Stay

From the minute we arrived at Hotel SLO we were treated like royalty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. We also enjoyed being in the downtown area near all the shops and restaurants! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great hotel fir visiting SLO

Very nice property. Bigger than it looked from the outside. The entire property felt very open and bright - even the hallways! The room was comfortable. Location was convenient. Just across the street ftom the Mission. We parked across the street in the public lot. We are too impatient to wait for the valet! Appreciated the glass bottles of water in the room along with the fridge. Had dinner at the steakhouse which was good. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel so cant comment.

Best 4-star hotel

I'm impressed. This might be the most comfortable 4-star hotel I've stayed at. It even beats some of the 5-star places. The suite was clean, had a very comfortable layout, and well-thoughtout amenities (e.g. easy access to filtered water). Great noise blocking between rooms when we traveled with an infant. The downtown location worked out great for the infant, too - we were able to just take the stroller out for a walk or coffee without having to drive. The noises from the street wasn't able to be blocked as much though. If a car with a loud engine drive by or a group of teenagers skateboard by the building, you would hear it very clearly. The staff was able to help take care of the skateboarders very promptly. The staff - from the bell service to front desk - was friendly and helpful. Some of them turned down the offer of a tip. I hope this is an indication that the staff is fairly compensated. It is valet parking only, so we have to organize our luggage accordingly (what to bring up and what stays in the car). But the valet is very fast if you need access to your car. I believe our car was available within 5 minutes.
