Mediocre in Morro

It appears there are dozens of similar motels in Morro Bay to choose from. This one lacks towel racks in the bathroom and no closets, with not a single hangar for your clothes. The furniture is worn out and falling apart. It's ok for a night or two but don't expect much. On the plus side, saw hummingbirds from the room's small balcony. Low occupancy meant plenty of parking.

The staff were polite and helpful, though one night stay. The room was spacious but in serious need of updates. Paint peeling off the very inexpensive furniture. No freezer in the fridge and the toilet was not secured to the floor.

I have stayed at fireside in numerous times, I have always felt that check-in has been so easy and I’ve always felt safe being there. It’s walkable distance to my favorite coffee shop and bookstore. There are numerous dining options that are also within distance.
