Isla Verde Beach

It took me some research to realize that this apartment was located on Isla Verde Beach despite the listing, stating it was Flamenco Beach. I booked it anyway, with recommendations from friends that Isla Verde is a great location. The unit itself was very clean and had everything that my 2 kids and I needed. Amazing view, and it is directly on the beach. Much cheaper to stay here than at the nearby hotels. Very safe. Easy commute to rental cars, airport, and centrally located, so we were able to explore the island easily. Would stay here again.

Breathtaking View, But the Condo Needs Work The view from this condo is absolutely stunning—easily the highlight of our stay. Waking up to the ocean right outside our window was a dream, and the location was perfect for a relaxing beach getaway. Unfortunately, the condo itself didn’t live up to the view. It felt outdated and in need of some serious TLC. The kitchen was lacking even the most basic essentials, making it difficult to prepare meals. To top it off, one of the beds didn’t even have covers, which was a disappointing oversight. If you’re here just for the view and don’t mind a bare-bones stay, it might work for you. But for the price, I expected a bit more comfort and attention to detail.

Great location and that's it

I don't know where the other reviewers stayed, but I cannot believe it was the same property. This condo has one thing and one thing only going for it--the location. It is just steps across a dead end street to a gorgeous beach. However, this is a run-down unit in a building that is far past it's glory days. I am mostly disappointed because of the misleading listing. There were basics I expected that were simply missing. The listing advertises room for 6 people and a fully equipped kitchen. Imagine my surprise to find 2 bowls, 3 spoons and 3 forks for our booking for 4 adults. There were no dish towels or even any rugs in the whole place, despite what you may see in the photo. It is 100% bare bones. The kitchen countertops are cut and peeling and the cabinets are not in good shape. The washer/dryer is shared for the floor and requires payment. There is no balcony, only a railing across the sea-facing window. The window by the dining table was covered with bird droppings and was so gross. There were nice bath and beach towels provided but only one hand towel and no washcloths. There were a number of other issues including a non-working refrigerator. In fairness, the owner did try to address these with limited success. Upon request, I was given a very small discount for our inconvenience but I am so disappointed in this property. It would not take much to make this unit really wonderful, but for now there is a long ways to go.
