The owner could not have been any kinder and more helpful…He attended to detail and even upgraded us to a bigger room! The breakfast was truly amazing as well with multiple options and included in our room rate!! Beautiful view looking over San Jose below, especially at night! Infinity pool and sitting areas both by the pool as well as inside the common areas. My husband and I WILL be back to this amazing place when we return next year!!! Took us about 50 mins to get to the airport due to road construction going on at this time, but I bet it would take half that time if not rush hour or road work happening. Safe property, gated parking, and we had a really nice veranda to enjoy, too!
We began and ended our vacation here and had great experiences both times. The resort is lovely. The staff members were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast each day. We would definitely return!

This is a beautiful time capsule in the hills overlooking San Jose. Reminded me of a Hollywood hills home from 1959 held in history. Plenty of eateries close by. Uber to and from the restaurants. Enjoy the view. Staff was a little short handed but excellent. Breakfast was also good too. Btw, no AC but you probably won’t need it.
We visited CR for 'dental tourism' and we stayed here for 1 night after tour of country. Flight home the next day. Easy to find. Room was very clean and a nice breakfast was included (5 meal options). There are a bunch of cats living there which we loved! One will just jump into your lap upon meeting you. However - check in person was cold. Not rude - just unfriendly. Even scoffed at the concept of 'dental tourism' even though it is featured on their website.

Thank you for your review! Please note that it is only our standard rooms that do not have AC - the superior rooms and deluxe rooms all have AC; however as you mention, since evenings are normally cool, usually AC is not needed.

With regards to the receptionist I understand your point - he joined us recently and is normally a very warm, honest and friendly person (as you can read from several of the other reviews we have). But being new and having less experience he is at times a bit nervous which might have made him come across as a bit cold when you first met him. Anyways, I have spoken to him regarding this and we are working on improving this, to avoid this type misunderstandings/miscommunications happening again. We normally have a lot of dental guests here at the hotel - usually around 3 at any time, and always do our best to help accommodate and make their stay as comfortable as possible. best regards, Bjorn
