They somehow forgot we are in the U S A the TV In the room received almost 90 percent Chinese and Vietnemise chanels

Staff were friendly and accommodating my only comment is that room too small

The hotel was nice, and the rooms were a little small. The location was literally across the street from the building where I was training, so that was helpful. The staff was very friendly and they kept the rooms very clean. It was a newer property, but for the price point, I thought for the price per night with the services offered, the rates should have been a third lower, I have to say that the continental breakfast was not very appeasing to me. Folgers's coffee and processed commercial pastries did not appeal. There are some several food options near, but I chose not to drive this trip, so I walked. Since the area was a little uncomfortable for me. Be aware that the hotel is in the middle of downtown San Jose, CA. It was my first experience being in downtown San Jose, and there a lot more homeless people that I am used to. If I had to go there again, I know there is a full service hotel close by (The Hotel Danza).. The offered full service restaurants which I personally thought would have been nice. When I was done with training every day, it would have been nice to just go back to the hotel and get room service and or have a quiet meal in the hotel.

A walkable hotel to downtown. Free breakfast and afternoon snacks in the lounge. Room was too tiny but perfect if you only need it to sleep and shower. Welcoming staff!

I stayed here June of 2017. The staff was really friendly and responsive, the place was clean, and they had good security in the halls and parking lot. But you can definitely tell where where they cut corners -- For instance, the bathroom was clean and the bed was fluffy/clean/comfortable, but you can see obvious stains of some sort of past spillage on the ottoman; The room was 90deg when I first entered--it would have been nice if they had the AC running just before check in; and walking thru the hallways was comfortable, but the elevator was hot and humid. Overall the place was a decent place to stay if all you need is a place to sleep, but the place had two big issues. The 1st is the location is surrounded by night clubs. If you plan on staying there Fri/Sat night, you must bring ear plugs or a white noise machine. Or be comfortable with sleeping with a pillow on your head to muffle the dance music. The 2nd issue was the AC air unit was inside the room in a cabinet. When it turned on, the unit and air is so loud that it's difficult to hold a conversation, listen to music or watch TV without turning the volume up quite a few notches. But that AC noise was pretty good at cancelling out the clubbing noise on Sat night. This probably also explains why the neighboring room TVs were so loud.

Greetings thank you very much for the feedback regarding your stay. In regards to the channel selection, we do have a complete Direct TV package that has over 150 High Definition channels including multiple HBO channels, sports channels, and normal basic cable programming. These channels are in addition to the multiple foreign language channels that we available for international guests. Of our 150+ channels, only 10% of our programming is devoted to foreign language and news channels. Unfortunately on the date of your stay, DirectTV was experiencing a nationwide issue with its programming. As a result, the channel selection for some rooms was impacted but restored shortly after. Anytime that the TV channel programming shown is not as advertised, we do advise guests to contact the front desk immediately to help remedy the situation. We do apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you again for your next visit to downtown San Jose.

Thank you very much for the review! As we are a situated in a Historical Landmark Building, our standard rooms are not model sized and there may be some rooms that are smaller than others. Anytime that a guest in unsatisfied with their given room, we do offer the chance to switch to a more accommodating room upon guest notice. We hope that you choose us again for your next visit to downtown San Jose!

Thank you so much for the review! We are very sorry that you experienced issues with the noise on Friday/Saturday night. We do have quieter rooms available that are not facing the street, and are taking additional measures with noise proofing our windows. Regarding the noise coming from your AC unit, we have sent maintenance to address the issue, thank you so much for pointing out the issue with us!
