La sala de estar es un lugar ideal para relajarse y descansar con un buen libro; para ponerse al día con sus programas favoritos con una línea de canales de cable premium, o para jugar juegos y disfrutar del tiempo en familia. Para esas noches de invierno raras y frías, hay una chimenea para completar el ambiente acogedor. ¡Nuestros huéspedes de verano apreciarán el aire acondicionado central!

Una cocina recién renovada, bien equipada y completamente equipada hace que sea muy fácil preparar un refrigerio ligero en la barra de desayuno, o servir una cena completa en el comedor formal con vajilla artesanal de cerámica Luna García.

La suite principal cuenta con un amplio vestidor, una amplia bañera, ducha separada y una cama king-size de California (72 "W x 84" L). We stayed at this lovely home for almost two months to escape the desert heat and it was a perfect place to do that! This is a charming, well-maintained older home in a very quiet neighborhood. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen is stocked to cook. The owners live right behind the house so help is readily at hand if needed (but we never needed it). It is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The wrap-around patio is beautiful and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the San Diego weather.

Absolute perfection

Casa Paloma is the perfect place to spend a week if you want to enjoy a little bit of all that San Diego offers. To begin, the place is even more beautiful than advertised and the owners are an absolute pleasure to communicate with. Check-in/out instructions were a breeze and when we had some mjnor technical difficulties, the owners came to help within minutes (the issue was not their fault at all). Casa Paloma is exceptionally child friendly, with a full crib, kids books, games, and plenty of soap, trash bags, tissues, etc. The other real highlight is the location - great spot in Mission Hills. Minutes to Little Italy, Balboa Park (Zoo, museums, etc), and downtown. Tons of great restaurants and grocery stores within a couple miles. Depending on your beach of choice, you’re 10 (Mission Beach) - 30 (La Jolla Shores) minutes away. I can’t say enough good things about this property and will absolutely return.

Great San Diego House

We stayed here for 5 nights in May and it was delightful. The property is attractive and comfortable and well furnished. The courtyard in back of the house is a joy, with good seating, wonderful foliage and a lovely fountain that draws hummingbirds and goldfinches. The kitchen is large, well organized and well stocked with cooking utensils. Travel around SD by car was easy from the location and while the cul de sac can get full of parked cars we always found a spot for our rental. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and can heartily recommend it.

Wonder home base for San Diego

Rented the property for 5 day stay in San Diego as a family of 4 with 2 elementary school age kids. The house was clean and had everything you could want for the stay. Plenty of room for our family and was convenient to all the things we were looking to do. It is located ona quiet cul-de-sac and we looked the outdoor space to enjoy our morning coffee or read our books in the morning.

Casa Paloma is an Oasis!

This charming house was immaculate, and has so much character! Everything needed was provided, and where it should be. The front and back courtyards are wonderful! The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, safe, and convenient to everything, while also being off the beaten path. The beds and other furniture are very comfortable, and though we didn't use the Murphy bed, we checked it out, and it was amazing. So many special touches throughout the house and gardens! The hosts were very accessible and responsive throughout our 6 night visit. Casa Paloma is everything you could ask for in a vacation rental.

Amazing week in San Diego!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Paloma! We stayed for a week and had everything that you would need to feel right at home for a week. They have thought about everything, including leaving the local grocery store discount card which was quite beneficial. The location is great as we weren’t further than 20 mins from any major landmark. It was a very quiet no outlet street with street parking right outside your secured entryway. The private courtyard was quite peaceful! We would absolutely stay here again should we find ourselves back in San Diego!

Quiet hideaway

This lovely home fit us perfectly: Well-equipped kitchen, plenty of comfortable spots to relax, and a beautiful back yard. The location at the end of a cul de sac meant no traffic noise and easy parking. And we were close enough to dine, shop, and enjoy Hillcrest/San Diego when we wanted.

Another great stay at Casa Paloma

This is our second time at the property and we loved it again. The home is very charming and conveniently located. It really feels like the owner has thought through everything a guest might want during their stay. We had our infant and toddler with us this time and the house worked well for our family of 4.

Gorgeous home in an ideal neighborhood!

The home is absolutely stunning, both inside and out; as gorgeous as they are, the listing pictures couldn’t possibly do the property justice. The home’s interior is well-appointed, beautifully designed and decorated, and comfortable; the exterior is a dream—especially the large courtyard, where we enjoyed several meals. The location is ideal, with easy access to shopping, dining, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, La Jolla, and other attractions. Despite being convenient to everything the San Diego area has to offer, the neighborhood is peaceful and very safe. The only consistent noise was that of planes flying overhead, which our family really enjoyed (especially the kids). The owner lives nearby and respected our space while also going out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable. We cannot wait to return to Casa Paloma! Thank you for making our vacation such a wonderful experience.

Great Stay

Stayed here with my family (adults and kids) and it was excellent! It had everything we needed and more. The owners are very kind. Place is even larger than it appears. Though this home is in front of the owners home, they make sure to give privacy. We would definitely stay again!

Fantastic house!

Cute house in a great neighborhood. The owners have thought through nearly every detail, so we needed nothing from them. The house is in great condition and the landscaping is very pretty. Parking in the street was pretty easy. The neighborhood was quiet. This was our first positive short term rental stay in awhile so thanks to the hosts!

Beautiful, comfortable home away from home

We totally loved our stay at Casa Paloma. The house is beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and linens, great lighting, lots of storage, a nice living room, and the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever seen in a rental — with everything one could want, from great knives, to a salad spinner, to a milk frother! The house has a small front courtyard and a larger courtyard with a fountain that attracts hummingbirds, pretty plants, and views of the sunrise. It’s located close to the airport yet on a quiet court with no airplane noise. Hillcrest neighborhood has cafes, restaurants, shopping, and Balboa Park all within walking distance, as well as easy access to downtown and points north. Paula was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We plan to return!

Great place in a great area

We really enjoyed stay at this great home in a great area in SD. Close to everything would be the best way to put it. Walking distance to some great restaurants and bars/grills pizza joints to higher end dinning. Seamed to be about 10 min from everything we wanted to do. The Zoo,SeaWorld, Midway museum just to name a few. Property was clean and welcoming well thought out with everything you may need and clean and in its place. Easy check in and out. Host was very helpful in the little things we did need. Nice folder with all the local information with things to do and place to dine and visit. Everything about the house explained in detail.... Have stayed in a few other VRBOs but non have been so well laid out. The owners/ hosts are doing this one right. Keep up the good work. We will be back for sure.

Lovely as described

This place was great. Exactly as shown in pictures. Loads of natural light, also plenty of lamps at night, quiet street, no one ever parking directly in front of the house(?? that doesn't even happen at home for me), stocked with everything you can think of, gorgeous courtyard, great TV package, games, cookware, everything. The intro & guide was outstanding. The bed was very comfy and the plethora of blankets was generous. The gate out front plus the front door made me feel very safe. I was a little nervous that the bay window makes the entire living room visible to the street but honestly no random people wandered by or even looked at the house, the only ppl I saw were just residents and workmen. I am very sensitive to noise while sleeping so I worried a bit about the fountain, but it's on a timer that shuts off (maybe 10p?) and doesn't turn on til 9am. 👍 I did feel the bedrooms could have used chairs but I just moved the ones from the living room. Hosts were amazing, I neither heard or saw them (as I prefer) until I needed batteries for the TV remote-I texted and they came right over. Very friendly. Practicalities (not a con, just not for everyone): not sure it would work for ppl needing ADA acommodations. The master suite was huge but it was a long way to the bathroom which ended quite narrowly. The other bedroom suite had a fairly tiny bathroom. The front steps were slightly uneven. This is not unexpected in an older home, just something to consider. We did not use: murphy bed, bbq grill, beach toys, baby gear but it all looked good and ready to go.

Beautiful home

This home is so comfortable and spacious. Everything about this home is wonderful. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook and the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Loved the fireplace as it was chilly at nite. Paula was always available to answer our questions. Hillcrest is a very cute neighbour hood and is walkable and all the other locations are very close by, and easy to hail an Uber. You will not be disappointed if you stay here!
