The hotel is nice and clean. some rooms are a bit dark but in overall is a nice place. Very good location, clean, and the staff is very friendly. Prices are good for waht they offer Highly recommended

This hotel in in the center of town and very convenient to everything. Reception desk never answered room calls. Not good in case of emergency or illness. First floor room that is directly off main floor patio were very noisy with people especially at night. Also these rooms have no windows except one over shower without screen, collects all sorts of bugs on the shower walls. Take a top floor rear room is suggested. Breakfast daily was adequate for starting day. A few pieces of jewelry stolen from room so carry these items on self because no safe available. Bottled water provided minimal amount. Not a hotel for first time visitor in my opinion. Was occupied by large groups and local families on holiday.

Very nice but rooms are dated especially the bathroom but all is functional. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good. The old villa must have been magnificent in its day and the owners rich. A handy spot from which to explore the local town/market and to go to surrounding villages.

I love the character and architecture of this place, breakfast was great that was the highlight. I do think the accommodations are ok but not great, a bit noisy with people in the halls (was on the first floor) the ac/heating unit was loud and kept me up then stopped working during my stay, used a space heater. Bathroom could be remodeled imo. Staff were all very friendly. Windows to the outside would be nice.

It is In the heart of the city. It is an old but renovated and elegant building. Breakfast is abundant, continental or british/american as well. TV in room. It has a private parking near the hotel. Highly recommended.

We spent 5 nights at this hotel. The experience was great due to the fact that it is around the corner from the main attractions of this colorful city. We stayed in room number 222 on the second floor. The two beds were very comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was also good and the hot water in the shower worked well. The internet connection was great so good news to all who need to stay connected to the outside world! Gladis, Maurilio, and Amparo at the reception desk were very friendly and helpful. The weather was great during our stay and it did not rain at all. However, it can get a bit chilly during this month. The heater in room 222 was not working but they brought in a portable electric heater immediately upon request and matter was solved. The breakfast buffet was adequate but if needed, there are plenty of restaurants around. Also, the hotel provides a coffee maker, coffe, tea, and two bottles of water daily for guests.

The internal courtyards and gardens make this an attractive place, but the maintenance to the rooms needs some attention (security safe didn't work, no plug in the bathroom basin, bathroom window couldn't be secured and there was a musty smell in the room). The reception staff were responsive, but unable to solve some of the shortcomings. The breakfast was good in a very pleasant room overlooking the courtyard, but we could have done without the breakfast musicians who were very enthusiastic in pumping their limited audience for tips.

My family visited this hotel while on tour in Chiapas, we had 2 stays during our tour, on the first one we were given a room on the right side of the stairs on the first floor, it wasn't bad but the a/c had a smell that bothered me a little ( humidity maybe...) In our second part of the tour we were given a room on the second floor and it was huge! very clean, nice water pressure and very comfortable beds. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was delicious and with lots of choices. Would recommend it without hesitation.

The Holiday Inn is perfectly located in the heart of San Cristobal, just off the main pedestrian thoroughfare that runs through the middle of the town…the rooms are fairly well appointed, certainly good enough for a night or two. The breakfast spread was very tasty, varied, and good value for money. Service was friendly and efficient. Special thanks to the front desk team generally, and to Amparo in particular who looked after an item we left behind and then dealt with many, many back and forth communications and logistical arrangements--all beyond the call of duty, but the sign of a great professional. Thank you Amparo for making our stay perfect!

I enjoy staying at IHG Brand hotels because they offer a standard hospitality and high quality facilities. This hotel was no exception, the check in was fast and neat, they prepared in advance all the paperwork, just two signs and done. The suite was spectacular, my family loved it! There is a garden with a fountain outside the room. The parking lot is located a block away and has surveillance. At a reasonable walking distance you are able to reach city center and most of the downtown local attractions. There's A/C in the room however I didn't required to use it, the city temperature at that time (April 2016) was comfortable. The staff has brochures and maps for local destinations. I definitely will stay here during my next trip.
