The room was not is great shape!! I made my reservation in early May but there was a smell as mildew or old air filter from the A/C but management was aware of the smell before I got there and still didn't do anything. Damaged dresser they refused to repair b/c they excuse was all the dressers were damaged. I was planned to stay 30 day but I will not stay here that long b/c of the support and the rooms. There are. A lot o others ( long term stays) I the general area. Review them 1st!!!
Great location. Dirty, smelly hotel. Security doors propped open with rocks which defeated the requirement to use a room key to get in the building. Breakfast had no real food just sugary junk. Staff was friendly.
Wonderful experience. No problems. Great room. Great location. Great staff. Felt more like a small apartment. Would definitely stay again. My family was very comfortable. Couldn't have been any happier. Thank you!
The room was not clean at all. Floors and tables were very dirty. Had not been clean at all. There was actually a pair of jeans left in the closet from a previous guest and socks left behind also. This hotel is horrible and DIRTY!!!!! What is described as "Continental Breakfast" is interesting, their is only coffee, packaged muffins and granola bars available. Only thing decent was the coffee to be honest.
This place is horrible, the so called breakfast is nothing less than sawdust and plywood. Coffee is always empty and have to repetitively ask to make more. The room does not come with no dishes, its dark our lights don't work we asked for maintenance and their response is "our maintenance guy is always calling in. I can go look at it AGAIN but I cannot fix the fixture." Wow, this has been a very very expensive learning experience...
This hotel is not very clean, I think because it come with kitchen, the room kind of smell , I also saw ants in the bathroom ,hair on the pillow and the bed , carpet is dirty , there are not breakfast . So disappointed . We had to drive out to get the breakfast .
The hotel was affordable prices. The hotel has an exercise room and an outdoor swimming pool. The room is fairly room for 5 people. There was a kitchenette which was nice to have to store snacks and foods. We didn't have much time to cook foods since we were in and out of the hotel. We pick this place because it was close to restaurants and grocery store. The only thing about the room was that the ac didn't cool the whole room. If you sleep next to the ac unit, there's time at night it get freezing cold. They have grab and go breakfast at the front desk. Overall, the hotel is pretty good place to stay. Your about 15-18 minutes away from downtown. And you can take the back roads to the restaurants, stores and HEB grocery store without having to fight the traffic on the service road or to get onto the highway.
I spent 4 days and 3 nights while my child was at college orientation. I was very satisfied with my stay. The front staff was great (Ronnie and Dennis). They were very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely huge. It looks exactly like the pictures on the hotel's website. The room with the exception of the kitchen had updates. The kitchen appliances were dated but it did not take away from my stay or the room. Recent reviews said the lobby had a smell and it did, kind of like a stale or old smell, not stinky but weird but the room did not. The grab and go breakfast consisted of coffee, cocoa and tea packs, granola bars, and muffins. The front desk has plates, eating utensils, knife, spatula, skillet, dish towels, and sauce pan. They offer you those upon check in. My goal was to cook one meal in the hotel so also bought a pack of 2 disposable cake pans for 88 cent at Walmart. I brought my own dish detergent liquid but the hotel also had dish detergent packs. The closet was enormous. They only had 3 hangers. I don't know if you can request more. I did not need anymore. They also have lots of storage. In my room, I had 2 beds, sleeper sofa, chair, table with two chairs, end tables, and a dresser. The swimming pool was clean and we used it everyday. I didn't use the washer and dryer ($2) but others did so they did work. Also others were using the gym facilities. There was also a free printer but I did not use it. I did not pay for the housekeeping service (There is a fee if you stay less than 7 days.) You have to bring the towels to the front to switch them out for clean ones. I don't know if I was supposed to but when I saw the housekeeping ladies in the morning, I would switch towels with them. They were always friendly. I never got any of the ladies' names. You have to take out your own trash. At the end of the hallway, they have big trash cans. They have vending machines and soda machines but no ice makers. They have ice trays in the freezer. Free wifi. Air conditioner was fine. Beds and pillows were comfortable. I did not have any problems with the room. It isn't a luxury hotel but it is clean, friendly people, decent price, and a great location. I met a lot of friendly people majority families. HEB (grocery store) and a gas station is a block away. If you drive through the parking lots you wont have to get back on the feeder (frontage rd). Also if you drive through the parking lot, you have The Egg and I, Fuddruckers, and Brewing's. UTSA, Walmart, Target, and Cici's pizza are about 10 minutes away. This is definitely my new San Antonio hotel.
The Good: This hotel was inexpensive, roomy, conveniently located to lots of shopping and attractions, and had a polite staff. It is nicer than hotels I have stayed at in San Antonio and paid three times the price....definitely a good value. The Bad: I have a very weak sense of smell...my middle school classes after PE on a hot day do not even phase me...but the smell of smoke was REALLY NOTICEABLE. I stopped being aware of it after a while, but if you are really bothered by smoke, this hotel is not for you. Also, this hotel allows pets. I have inside animals and never have a problem at pet friendly hotels, but my room had FLEAS. I personally caught about 20 crawling and or biting me during my stay. I called the front desk on my way out the second day I was there and asked then to spray. I assume nothing was done because I kept finding them on me that night and the next day. I would probably stay here again.
I stayed here for about a month and a half while I was working in the area. The only issues I had were the rooms are only cleaned once a week if you stay very long and that just wasn't enough. You have to ask for all the cooking equipment and the stopper for the sink. On site laundry was nice but $2 a load and very small washers seems a bit steep. The site says it was recently remodeled but not so sure what was done as the microwave in my room was manufactured in 1997. All in all it wasn't a roach motel and anytime I brought something to staff attention it was addressed immediately. The few things I can complain about I only can because I didn't give them the opportunity to address them. I wish the breakfast was more than just a muffins, instant oatmeal, fruit, or nature bars but it met the need. I will say that after more than a week the bed in the room really shows how uncomfortable it is and my back is still paying for it.
