My husband and I went to San Antonio to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and stayed at the Comfort Inn Near Medical Center. The staff were all super friendly & helpful, the breakfasts were loaded with options (waffles, bagels, English muffins, eggs, sausage patties, biscuits & gravy, cereals, oatmeal, fruits, coffees, juices), and the location was perfect! We were at most only 15 minutes away from our touristy destinations and had easy access to the highway. We had booked our trip on Expedia with the expectation of staying in a jacuzzi room. When we arrived, we were told we were given a regular room but the receptionist and manager were quick to fix us up and get us into the room we wanted. I loved the jacuzzi and used it every night we were there! Housekeeping did an excellent job but kept bringing us decaf coffee when we were only using regular so we had to ask the front desk for more regular a couple times. We only had a few other issues while we were there. The first night we went down to the pool area and returned to our room to find a puddle in front of the refrigerator. We cleaned it up and didn't have any more problems with it the rest of our stay so we didn't mention it to staff. It bothered me that you can't see out of the pool area windows but you can see through them from the outside (there's a tint film on it that's kind of like a 2-way mirror but backwards from protecting patrons' privacy). Also, I was only able to use the WiFi once on my phone when we first arrived but was never able to get back on it. Other than that, everything went smoothly and it was a comfortable place to stay!
This is a older motel and the furnishings are dated however, it was well-maintained. The A/C worked really well and the room had numerous electronic charging outlets. The reception area was very nicely decorated with nice paintings on the walls. The WIFI reception was lacking. There was no bathmat in the bathroom and the bath tub needed refurbishing or replaced as it had cracks in various places. The breakfast was the standard affair, however the attendants did not pay attention when the items ran out. When we walked in there was no eggs and no sweet rolls. These were not replaced until we were ready to leave about 20 to 25 minutes later (this was even after I had to tell them on the shortages).
Newly remodeled, super clean Comfort Inn. I cant say anything negative for this place. Super friendly and helpful staff. Maybe a more flavorful coffee would be great. Prices are low for such a nice hotel
We had to rent a room because my dad was in hospital. They kept highering price per day. The room was not even cleaned correctly no towels were left in the room. The didnt didnt work and had to wait till next day for maintenance to ck it. Not a pleasent stay at all. Never comming bk! And do not recommend it. We left and and to another hotel.
We reserved a suite that claimed to sleep 6. It had 2 queen beds and a small sofa sleeper. The sofa sleeper barely sleeps one. Thankfully for us our youngest is still small enough to sleep on the sofa cushions on the floor. We also had to request the bedding for the sofa sleeper from the front desk. This surprised us as we most often come across the extra bedding already in the room. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. We requested a high floor away from the elevators and were able to be accommodated. Our area was quite and we were able to get a good night of sleep. The hot breakfast was average, and to be expected from a Choice hotel.
Recently, while visiting this hotel I went to take a dip in the pool and sit in the hot tub. I swam from one end to the other end and the chlorine in the pool overwhelming that I had a really bad reaction. My eyes & face was burning and on fire. I went to the customer service counter after flushing my eyes & skin in the 1st floor restroom to inform them it was not safe for anyone to get in the pool. I also requested to speak with the manager or supervisor. After several conversations with the clerk, I was told that he was on his way, so I ask the front desk clerk to please tell him to call me or visit my room 322. Well needless to say I never got a call or visit. I was disappointed because I wanted to share with him about my experience. This incident made my stay not as pleasant as it could've been. I saw this as an opportunity for management to display courtesy customer service which is big to me. I'm not sure I'll ever visit this particular hotel in the future and it wouldn't be fair to judge every Comfort Inn & Suites base off the customer service provided by this one. I just wanted my voice to be heard by management because it would've made me fell like they cared.
Not like our first experience with a Comfort Inn they were ready to handle our group of 44. Room clean plenty of hot water. Good service on the home box. Breakfast like any other offered. Air worked fine and it was quiet.
Overall nice stay! Stayed two nights in Summer of 2017. Booked online prior & called to confirm. Reasonable pricing for location & comfort. Staff was friendly & had great hospitality. Room was clean (no wet/old carpet smell) it was spacious & included a flat screen TV, free cable, free wi-fi, microwave & mini-fridge. Room comes with a safe as well. Beds were comfortable & clean. Bathroom was clean & shower had good water pressure & temperatures Very convenient location to Fiesta Texas Close proximity to the highway, restaurants, a bank, and a local Walmart for any forgotten items.. Parking is free Safe location Indoor pool & hot tub Free breakfast Staff even had water in lobby-- nice gesture & convenient especially after returning or departing in the beautiful summer heat of Texas!
I once stayed in a motel in NJ where I thought murders had probably been committed; this particular CI&S was a short step up from that. The bizarre thing was that the staff was great, the pillows were fabulous, the towels were as terrific as well and the freezer in the tiny fridge actually kept things frozen. Aside from that... well, I'll be adding some pictures. Apart from the aforementioned place in NJ, I've never stayed anywhere as filthy. Actually, until I saw the picture I'd taken of the ceiling I thought there was actually mold growing there... turns out it was probably just a water leak. Still... The bathroom had what seems to be the inevitable failing of most hotel and motel bathrooms: no place to hang your towels/washcloths. This place had the typical 2" wide double hook on the back of the door and that was it. It's designed to look as if it will hang 2 towels... but, no... just one. That leaves 2 people using 2 towels and 2 washcloths (at minimum) with no place to hang 1 towel and 2 washcloths and, like most folks, I think, I am not going to hang the facecloths from the counter where the sink is... especially not in this place where the dust was so thick in the bathroom that my fingerprint can easily be seen on the woodwork in the pictures below. And what all that brown stuff was - both on the side of the tub and on the big empty wall where someone could have put a couple of towel racks - I have no idea. The long hair that washed down from under the rim of the sink on the second day of our stay was like icing on the cake... the dump cake.
Got the jacuzzi suite one night as it was the only one left. The hotel lobby and interior was fine and the satff nice. But the room wasn't and the stains in the Jacuzzi made me wish there was another room available anywhere else in Houston... Not a bad night but I wont be booking here again.
