We found this hotel on trip advisor and would highly recommend it. We were on our way home from our Disneyland Anaheim holiday and the hotel was world class. The front desk clerk was super helpful with booking our room over the phone and our room was big enough for four. The free breakfast was more than enough for my family and my daughter is fussy this hotel is a good place to stay and affordable.

Fairfield Inn , Salt Lake City South, October 11 to October 13, 2017 I was greeted by non smiling David Larson at the Front Desk, not a pleasant person. Told him I have a reservation and gave him my last name. He advised me he does not have a reservation and ask for my confirmation. I had to return to the car to retrieve it. I presented David my confirmation and he replied need an “ ID & Credit Card “ which I gave to him. I than ask him if he did locate my reservation and he never replied, I ask him again, his reply was “ do you want to check - in .. I told him if he continuous his rude behavior I will ask for the Manager. He suddenly changed his tune and said “ yes , I found your reservation “ .. told him I am an old timer and you young people have a lot to learn how to treat a paying customer, he agreed. David, has totally forgotten the phrase, “ that customers make paychecks happen. “…his attitude was “ snotty “ not a good beginning and he needs a good PR lesson from retired Chairman J. Willard Marriott who I met in Hawaii in 1984… Eventually he come around , still a stern face, no smile, and stated if we can do anything for you let us know. We were accommodated in room 214, a very clean, large room with 2 double beds & clean bed linen . We slept well here. The room has a modern decor with a desk, free Wi-Fi , easy chair flat TV screen by LG, refrigerator, Microwave, dresser, in room coffee-maker. The bathroom provides a sink in a separate area, with closet space, WC / Shower / Tub combo, clean bath towels, hairdryer and iron with ironing board. By the way our room was made up on October 12 at 4:00 PM , very inconvenient, my wife went into the hallway upon our return to look for the Chambermaid. The INN also has an indoor pool / jacuzzi.. The breakfast selection is good and plentiful and everything run smoothly here. Yes, we can recommend staying here, but “ Fairfield INN Marriott “ can do much better in teaching their front of the house staff to SMILE and be more pleasant to paying customers.

We chose this location was it was close to the airport and to our daughter. We could not be happier. The room was adequate, not luxury, but very clean and well maintained. the pool was a little on the small size, but I wasn't interested in doing laps so it worked for us. They do have a hot tub that we loved. I think what made our trip great was the staff. Check in people always had a smile and the person taking care of the delicious breakfast was always checking on things and replacing items as they got low. The other thing I like is that they only have like 60 rooms so it seemed very quiet to me. overall if you stay in Salt Lake City, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We chose this hotel because of the great location. The room was adequate but rather drab. Evidently the site's refurbishment had not been extensive. It was clean and comfortable. In fairness, we would probably have found things to like but we didn't stay long enough to experience them. Wedin't even have time for breakfast.

My wife and I arrived late here one night after traveling all day. The hotel is less than 10 miles from the airport and easy to find. The room was very clean and quiet with a fresh smell. The free breakfast buffet was extensive and one of the best I have seen. We would definitely stay here again.

A Marriott property so clean and comfortable, and very good price, close to downtown Salt Lake City and 30 minutes to Park City. Free breakfast buffet included in price. Good location to use as you home base in this area.

A bit noisy rooms but generally okay for a one night stay. Thought it was out of the way but really only 2 blocks from everything you need including a couple of mid-range restaurants next door and liquor store 1 street away. Free juice and cookies on arrival

We arrived late at night. Seemed like an industrial area. Daylight showed a rougher area. Hotel is nice, what you expect from a Marriott property, but I wouldn't recommend hanging around the general area. Breakfast in hotel is nice.

My go to hotel in SLC. I almost hate to write the review because I like less crowded places. Standard reliable Marriott Fairfield. Easy access to any place in SLC. Just off I-15, yet quiet. Gas prices nearby are some of the best. Can walk to Dennys or convenience stores.

We arrived 3 hours before the person paying for our room and asked if we could check in beforehand. Makenzie (I believe) was very helpful and with a hold on my credit card let us check in early. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into our room. It was very tastefully updated with modern furnishings, decor and color palette. The bed was very comfortable. I didn't look but I think it was a memory foam bed or mattress. The room and bathroom were both very clean and were not in need of any repairs. I especially like the personal note from the hotel manager welcoming us. I really wish there was the requisite folder with things to do, to go menus, etc. I missed that but did appreciate the modern updated and streamlined brochure n the room. REALLY really wish the tv had a menu/guide available so i didn't have to spend a fair amount of time going through of the channels to see what was on. The breakfast was good. Nice selection. The ice water available throughout the day is a nice touch. Thankful for the computer n the lobby for patrons to use and especially for the ability to print out boarding tickets at no extra charge. The "convenience" store though - WAAAAAAAAAY over priced!! $4.00 for a small snack bag of chips. DO NOT waste your time or money - just walk around the corner to the Exxon Food Mart and get what you want for much cheaper.
