The hotel served its purpose. The area was okay, but lots of homeless.

Like check in and check out process. Simple and easy :)

My experience not happy to stay in there I won't comeback anymore on that kind of hotel.its was holiday no chose.

I love my stay here. Everything was perfect except the breakfast didn't taste so good. I would have like the eggs to be scrambled instead of the egg with cheese

Met my expectations. Easy to find parking in the lot. Room served my purposes though there was a little bit of a dank smell in the room. The Front Desk was very helpful and welcoming.

Stayed at the HIE as a mid-way rest between two full days of driving. Great staff - excellent room, very clean. Will stay here again for future trips.

The only issue was a body odor smell coming from the room next to our room 4022...also must smelling!

The hotel is located in a great location near downtown Sac. It is within walking distance of some restaurants and bars. Sac does not have the nicest hotels, so what you get is what you get.

Our hotel stay was wonderful. This hotel is ideally located for walking around downtown and midtown Sacramento, making it easy to just park our car and walk around to art galleries, coffee shops, and great restaurants. Room space and amenities are great - huge room with a broad window and tons of light. Bathroom is huge, with a huge vanity counter to lay out make up items etc. (The only exception is that the shower feels small - too many fabric curtains and a handicap ramp made it feel closed in.) Staff was great - got checked in quickly (had to do a bit more conversing to verify that we were getting right reservation due to our very common last name). Also, before checking out our room keys stopped working and staff quickly fixed it. We didn't get to try free breakfast (opted to dine at local restaurant instead) so can't comment on that. The hotel's check-out time of noon made it ideally for spending a quiet morning in town, and getting in a bit more sight-seeing.

Overall, the staff was friendly and I really like the fact that the hotel was in a prime location. Loved the fact that bars and restaurants were in walking distance. The standard room was real nice, and I loved the view from the 3rd floor.

Loved this hotel!! Highly recommend!!! Perfect area close to everything!!! Clean rooms too.

The staff was kind and very helpful. TV didn't work and were wanted me to change rooms that day. However I wasn't in the room much due to meetings. Bed comfortable and breakfast was great. Will stay here again.

I was attending a conference in Sacramento, and stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. This is the cheapest one I could find which is close to the convention center. Hotel staff were very friendly. Free Wifi was very slow at night. Free breakfast was better than free breakfast of most of the hotels I stayed before. The toilet in my room was kind of weird. It went bad sometimes, but went good again by itself later. I still don't know what was wrong with that toilet.

The staff at this hotel made all the difference. They were professional and friendly, and took care of us well. The value is outstanding, and the location is right in the heart if a beautiful downtown area - lots of trees and historic homes. I would stay here again and again.

Staff was great, room was clean, close to convention center, but upstairs customers you could hear as they walked in their room.

As a Holiday Inn Express I wasn't expecting very much. The room was large and pretty comfy. There is a small gym, a generous Breakfast bar that gets the job done, and the location is 4 blocks from the Convention center-easy walk. Staff helpful and friendly. Check out Lucca's restaurant down on J street. Fantastic and easy walk. 1 block away from the old Governor's mansion.

We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Express while on a weekend trip to Sacramento. The hotel is in a convenient location, close to downtown. Nothing special about the facilities, just average. There were several problems with the room that had to be fixed. The worst was a loud banging noise that the A/C unit made periodically all night long.

My 3 friends and I were staying here for the night before moving on to our destination early the following morning. But in the short time that we were there, everything went smoothly, the staff was friendly and nice, and the room and common area were clean and neat. We booked a room with two double beds for the four of us, and it was comfortable and not cramped at all. The location was just one or two blocks farther from the Sacramento downtown night life than we'd prefer, but it's still entirely walkable and it actually makes the surrounding area more quiet, so that's a plus for guests who need it. We chose this place because we knew we were only going to be there for a short time and the price was very reasonable for what we needed it for (a place to spend the night before getting up early in the morning)

I like how nice the location and the rooms looked. They had a hot breakfast which was so good. I enjoyed my stay here.
