Ground floor there is kitchen, dinning, drawing room and one small toilet. Nice sit out at the back in the ground floor facing the water body, we can see ducks and sea gulls there while sitting out, if you have boat you can bring near there. You can go down near water by steps from sit out. We feed seagulls and the duck nice experience for the kids. top there are 3 bedrooms and one toilet. If one more toilet was there it would have been very nice. Location is good and near many attractions and shops if you have a car. there are other amenities like tennis ground etc, you can get games from reception such as ludo, snake and ladders etc.
We decided to dine at the restaurant with our two boys. From the minute we entered we were pressured to place our order. We had a long drive to the hotel and wanted to sit and relax and have a few drinks before eating. At 7.45pm we were rudely interrupted by the chef who preceded with "ARE YOU GOING TO EAT OR NOT?" The whole restaurant heard and it was very embarrassing. Never have we ever experience such behaviour from a chef and found it very hard to enjoy our meals. They advertise as being open to 9pm and felt we were being pushed out so they could shut up early. After the experience we had we would not encourage anybody to dine there.
Was not disappointed at all. Very nice and up beat premises. beautifully located on the edge of the lake and so quite. Rooms beautifully stocked with all handy amenities for the guest. Comfortable beds and the views are so peaceful. Staff were very helpfully considering I arrived well before check in time. Count on me to return to this premises again
We have really enjoyed our stay. The 2 bedroom accomodation was spacious, fairly modern, it has absolutely everything you would have at home. Appliances worked perfectly and were able to prepare breakfasts, lunches and even did a BBQ outdoors. The hotel grounds are lovely, although the pool deck needs updating it does look rather old (not like the pictures). We loved that the beds had electric heating, perfect for winter nights. The only disappointment we had was that unless you are driving - there is no other way to get to city, the hotel does not provide free / or paid shuttles. The only way to get to Rotorua or around is your own vehicle or taxi! And the taxi is ridiculously expensive - to get to town in not less than 60-100$ for 20-30mins drive. Come prepared!
It's an inviting hotel and awesome quiet place to stay. This is a good place to relax and bond with family. The hotel has a big ground to roam around with the view of lake Rotorua and swimming pool. Worthy accommodation for its price specially for big families
Lovely and quiet resort.. The apartment was lovely, well equipped and clean. is a few kilometers out of town but there is a mini mart about 5 minutes drive, the staff were lovely and friendly..... The only downside we found is there is a cost for their wifi and also the apartment we had only had a small oil heater so it was a bit cold sometimes...
My wife, (adult) daughter and I stayed 3 nights at the Ramada. Although located about 15 minutes out of Rotorua, it was easily accessible by car. The two bedroom unit was extremely comfortable, well equipped, and suited us for our stay. We made use of the laundry facilities and refreshed our wardrobe for the second part of our NZ holiday. But, there need to be improvements. For the price paid, there was no WiFi unless we paid additional fees. This was the only venue we stayed at in two weeks in NZ where this was a requirement. When we arrived, the rubbish bin had been overlooked in the previous cleaning and the smell was putrid. Although I contacted reception to have it cleared, and they apologised and advised that it would be resolved immediately, I eventually removed it and found rubbish wheels bins outside to dispose of the bag. The bathroom was noisy when using facilities, a construction flaw not easily resolved now.
A very nice and neat place well located. We stayed 2 nights and found the place very neat clean and full of amenities. The staff were very helpful in getting our tour bookings reconfirmed (Thought hey had nothing to do with initial bookings) and did give us tips and the other local attractions which helped us. The place does have some small minor maintenance which need attention- if this were to occur the place will be in the top range with comfort! The layout in the resort is excellent! The best was laundry services in the room.
Nice place, very friendly staff and roomy well equipped apartments. Slightly out of town which was a plus for us.The children loved being on the water and exploring the gardens. Only gave three stars because the apartments were in need of maintenance and even replacement of some items such as broken Venetian blinds. The nightly price was quite high so it didn't represent good value for money. For the price we paid, we would have expected a little more in this department. Also there was no WiFi included and not all t.v. channels were working. For close to $500 per night we would have appreciated some WiFi.
We were a small group down for the xterra event. stayed in 3 bedroom unit. Well equipped unit, extra toilet downstairs as only one bathroom up stairs. Kitchen floor tiles felt sticky,? needed a good scrub. Rest of the unit was in good order and well equipped kitchen. A little highway noise in bedrooms that faced that direction. Nice surrounds and grounds.
