We had an overnight stay in the JC Contemporary Hotel recently. We chose it because the rooms looked good, and it was situated about a 10-15 minute drive from the Airport. The room we stayed in was excellent, well decorated, really modern and well equipped. Breakfast was good, and staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel, while close to the airport, is in an isolated area, and you need to get a taxi or drive to the nearest bars or restaurants. The man on reception organised a taxi for us, and recommended an excellent restaurant nearby. I would happily return and stay here.
This is a small Hotel have way between the airport and Rome. If you have a car it has a gated place to park which was essential at night. The staff was the friendliest we met during the whole trip. We had lost our luggage the first day we got there and they did everything they could to help us get the essentials we needed. The breakfast was the best we had our whole trip. The hot chocolate was amazing. The staff was so friendly. The rooms were small but well organized and bathroom was great. Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel was about what you would expect. The Good: It was fairly clean and simple. Not too bad to find, but a little difficult tucked off the road next to a major on-ramp. Priced appropriately Good breakfast offerings Friendly and helpful staff Private parking area The Not So Good: Our rental car was damaged in the private parking area overnight Our shower had about a dozen missing tiles near the drain leaving sharp edges Pillows were a bit lacking Bed itself was a bit too stiff as well Some of these "Not So Good" seem insignificant even as I write them, but they did have a cumulative effect in some cases for the rest of our trip. One stiff bed isn't so bad for a night, but after four stiff beds a 6 nights things became a little rough. Recommendation: Get a five star hotel near the attractions in Rome. It's your best bet. Don't cheap out in Rome, you get what you pay for. The star system is a bit off in Europe, our five star was more like a nice four star Hilton, but still comfortable.
The hotel is just as nice as it looks on pictures. The same thing can be said about the food. Hotel offers breakfast buffet which is absolutely delicious. Everything is nice and fresh very morning. Rooms are cleaned everyday and are very clean also the staff is very nice. Would definitely recommend this hotel, great price for a great service.
I was thoroughly impressed with JC Hotel. The rooms were well decorated and the accommodations suited our needs. It is a bit of a trip to the heart of Rome (approximately 15km), but we didn't mind. It was quiet and the parking was gated. Breakfast was excellent! Also ended up paying a lot less than another hotel we were considering. Overall I'm very pleased with our 2 day stay. I recommend renting a car, much easier to get around, though drivers in Rome are comparable to those in NY.
The most important part of vacation, is maintaining the minor creature comforts of home without the added frustrations of traveling. After a 9 hour flight from NYC to Rome all you want to do is be pampered and reassured that a hotel decision you made months ago will now be your home for the next two weeks.Through the help of Elisa, Jose, Marco and Ivano at the JC Contemporary Hotel I had one of the most memorable birthdays ever and felt like I never left the comforts of my own home. In order to celebrate my 29th birthday I decided to go to Italy for 13 days with one of the most inspirational people in my life, my sister. What better way to celebrate turning 29 but to go to one of the most indulgent countries ever, Italy. To experience amazing cuisine, culture and most importantly human connection through art and history. Since I Travel quite a bit I know the most tedious yet important task is choosing the right hotel. So I always choose hotels based on there ability to go above and beyond and simply put, affordability. The hotel that stood out the most was the JC Contemporary Hotel. The JC hotel was modern, affordable, offered complimentary breakfast and wifi and was located very close to public transportation, so it was a no-brainer. However, I did not know how great of a choice I made until we actually stayed. One of the first interactions that my sister and I had was when we were welcomed by Marco. Who greeted us on our first day with a charming smile and a very homey air that reassured us that for the next two weeks we were home. He then took our information, allowed us to check into our room early and even invited us to celebrate the JC Hotel’s 5th Anniversary. It was just our luck or by divine well that the night we arrived was the same night as the anniversary. In which they had an elaborate party with large assortments of Italian cuisine, desserts, drinks and a band that played a symphony of amazing music. If it couldn't get any better, the hotel room was modern, well kept and extremely spacious for two people. It was very comfortable and one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed at. Some of the highlights was the wonderful breakfast served every morning with full access to cappuccino, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The service was so luxurious every morning we were greeted with a smile and by the 2 day the breakfast attended would already have our cappuccino’s ready. One thing that really stood out to me was halfway into our trip when I requested hot chocolate because I wanted something other than cappuccino. And although the hotel did not have hot chocolate, Jose ordered it for me and had it waiting for me the very next morning. Can we say 5 star service or what.Another highlight was the amazing customer service and how knowledgable Elisa and Jose were. Whenever we needed to go somewhere the both of them were like our private tour guides suggesting different activities, restaurants, ways of travel and things to do before we left Rome. Elisa who was just as beautiful as she was smart was very sharp suggesting the best all you could eat sushi restaurant, what beaches to see (and yes there are beautiful beaches in rome) and what malls had the best shopping. She was literally one of the best parts about our hotel experience next to Jose. As an avid traveler and sucker for great customer service I would highly recommend the JC Contemporary Hotel and would definitely stay again!!!
On a 6 night stay in Rome, upon arrival to JC hotel, we were told that due to works that needed to be undertaken, we would only be allowed to stay that night and be transferred to another hotel, All Ways gardens, a further 3km in the opposite direction of the city center (as if the hotel isnt already remote enough being off a very busy motorway!) after insisting this is not what we wanted at all as we were not notified of the works that were needed prior to us checking in, we were told there was nothing more they could do. No refund, no other alternative accommodation and certainly no way we could stay there for our duration in Rome. Overall a very disappointing experience here, would not recommend it to anyone purely because of the location being so far out to anything that is worth visiting.
The JC Contemporary takes its name from the sleek design that makes good use of the room space. It's a bit out of the way (not a central Rome hotel), but if you have a car or are willing to commute by cheap bus/metro/train (including to and from the Fiumicino airport), it can be fantastic value for money, especially if you stay more than one night ((in this case the management could revise down your rate). The bedding is among the best I've ever slept in at a hotel. Breakfast is very nice, better than in many five-star hotels. Wifi is freely available and emirs a good signal wherever you happen to be. The bar is well stocked, the service personable. There are only 15 rooms, so you get the feeling of a modern, contemporary, well-appointed motel, the personal attention you need in an akward city as Rome, and the cash you save staying here you'll put forward a round of shopping in the city centre. BTW, the local transport day pass only costs € 7 and you can use it to and from the airport.
Negative: We booked a suit room therefore the best that they have there 1) the check in is at 18 and check out at 10 (we negotiate and they allowed us a Check in at 4 and check out at 12 however also if I am thankful about it I think that this shall not happen as I never saw anywhere in the world such check in and check out moreover if we consider 300 euro for 1 night 2) the breakfast is poor 3) there is nothing around the hotel except one trattoria and in the hotel there is a bar corner not a serious bar or lounge bar 4) internet is not working properly therefore also sending an email is a challenge 5) the furniture of the room are not my kind see pic attached but this is more something depending from personal test therefore not a negative point if you like such style. Positive: 1)The furnitures are all brand new 2) the hotel is small and the privacy is guaranteed 3) there is free parking Conclusion: I will not go there again
This is the biggest mistake I made during my trip to Italy by staying at JC hotel. Things always have two sides, good things are: 1) Comfortable bed 2) Clean room 3) Free parking 4) Nice Cappuccino at breakfast 5) Staffs are fairly nice, but recommendation is ... Better trust Google Bad sides are: 1) Far away from city (it's my bad I miscalculated), about 35 mins drive to Terminis (the closest point to the ZTL you can park, the staff told us the closest point is Laurentina, OMG, check the map where the hell is that please). 2) Check in time at 6pm (then kick you out with check out time at 10am), my flight landed at 1030am after 14 hours sleepless flight. I arrived hotel at 1pm, and knowing that the check in time at 6 hours later, I almost got a heart attack as I was totally exhausted. (Once again, it's my mistake didn't look carefully, but I assume it is a global practice the check in time between 2-3pm) 3) Sound proof is bad. I stayed upstairs, I can hear loud and clear when the phone rang in the reception and people talking at night. In the morning, instead of bird humming, I was awaken by non stop siren outside (not from ambulance) at 7am, not to mention about the TV, coffee machine, chit chatting during breakfast time. 4) Nothing, totally nothing around the establishment (I wouldn't call this a hotel). It locates at the side of a highway, inside a large parking place. No restaurant, no shops, no sightseeing, just nothing around. If you are hungry at night, go to bed and hope the morning comes quickly. I definitely not recommend this establishment.
