Very good location, not recommended in matter of cleanliness or comfort Too small room with no facilities Weak and slow internet Still good price to pay for such a location Only minutes far from the spanish steps

The two female reception staff we dealt with were very nice. The male staffer who was on for the weekend was trying to avoid any interaction with clients. He looked like he hated his job. Our first room #205 fronted onto Via Sistina -- the noise was unbelievable --traffic all hours of the night, we did not get ANY sleep. In the morning we complained to the staff and were transferred to another room #102 at the back of the hotel; the window opened up to a large light well/atrium, at the bottom of which garbage bins were located. We were afraid there would be odours but in May I think it was cool enough that odours were not a problem. Breakfast was a somewhat meager affair but fresh scrambled eggs were great, except when they were cold. If they run out ask the staff to make you some more. If you are going to this hotel a taxi (10 Euros approx)is your best bet from Termini. We used the Metro getting off at Spagna stn but we ended up at the BOTTOM of the Spanish steps so we had to tow our luggage around the block to get up to Via Sistina which is at the TOP of the Spanish steps. Barberini Metro Station is closed for major renovations so probably won't be open for a year -- the train does not stop there. 12" TV screen & no English language programs.

The hotel is in an amazing location, easy walking to most tourist locations and easy walk to metro. Plenty of cafe's and resturants around. Basically, you get what it says on the tin, the hotel is basic but I wasn't expecting anymore. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wanted a cheap stay in the centre of Rome. On the first night there did seem to be an alarm which was going off every hour or so which woke us all up, couldn't tell if this was from our hotel or another on the street.

Very basic hotel no more than 2 stars. Was in great location easy walking distance to main attractions. Room very old, clean but dated. Wifi only good near reception not in room. Bed hard and lumpy and no mattress protector and sheet difficult to tuck in under mattress.. Fridge didn't work. Airconditioning didn't work, lucky it wasn't summer, breeze through small window ok but noise outside all day and night. Very noisy doors opening and closing at night from other rooms which also disturbed sleep. Breakfast was ok. Main plus was location.

I never like to leave negative comments. This hotel does what it says on the tin it's basic very basic our room 208 was next to the breakfast area/reception honestly if you get given this room unless you take ear plugs don't accept it you could hear the receptionist break wind and traffic noise was horrific never stoped til early hours. A very basic Italian breakfast sweet pastries and coffee, bread etc if it had all gone when you arrived it had all gone. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and 5 minutes away from Spanish steps about a 30 to 40 minutes walk away from Vatican City there is a metro stop near the hotel about 7 minutes away. Rome is absolutely amazing and all on this hotels doorstep. Pepys bar eatery down the road was a great place to eat.

Two of us stayed here for 3 nights, for an absolutely bargain price through Expedia. I massively recommend this no frills hotel. It’s awesome. It is perfectly located to be within walking distance of all the main attractions of Rome. The hotel is on the second floor of a large building, there is a lift if needed. The top of the Spanish steps are 1 minute away. We also walked to the following: Trevi Fountain - 10-15 minutes Pantheon - 20 minutes Colosseum/Roman Forum/Hill- 20 minutes Vatican City - 35-40 minutes, this is a lovely walk This place really is the perfect base. We had a twin room; comfy single beds and the maids cleaned and changed linen everyday. The room was quiet and relaxing. There was no street noise or disturbances from outside. A couple of times the fire alarm went off and also another alarm inside the hotel. But it was not a huge problem. Breakfast was coffee, pastries, eggs and biscuits. A simple Italian breakfast and included in the price. I was completely grateful for it. The hotel allowed pets. The bathroom was large and clean with toiletries and towels provided. It was slightly dated but more importantly it was clean. Reception was always manned by lovely personable staff happy to help with directions, maps and recommendations. On our first night reception recommended the hotels restaurant which is just down the street. I’m sad to say I was so disappointed by this place. Staff were rude and inattentive. And food was fairly bland. Our bill was messed up and they were very disgruntled when we asked for it fixing. Overall I Highly recommend this hotel. It is a perfect base for couples, families and explorers alike. A real gem of Roma.

Need to mention the problems with check in. Receptionist told us we need to contact company where we booked the room because they didn't get payment and we can't get the room. Many other guests had the same problem and waiting for rooms for hours till the problem was solved. We were offered to leave the luggage at reception and go to town, but who would go and enjoy the city when not sure where to sleep?!Would recommend to call hotel in advance to make sure everything is ok. We lost all afternoon because of this. Hotel has a great location bit on hill.No need for any public transport.Room was very simple but big and clean what was all needed for money we paid. Street very noisy till 2 a.m. and we also heard everything from reception and corridor. Breakfast ok. If we wanted to have more luxury would paid different price so no complaints about accommodation itself and would pick up this hotel again.

We thought that the hotel was very bad because of the people's reviews but when we got there we were surprised that things were good!! The energy was really nice , the room was comfortable and clean, was big and nice. Breakfast was more than ok, air conditioning worked perfectly, wifi was good. And everything we needed the reception people were willing to help . We loved elena, nadine and diana. We had a great time and we are happy that we choosed that hotel. Close to everything too.

The hotel its at an excellent location. The only problem was the WiFi and the city tax (expensive). You can hardly use social networks with the WiFi because there is barely one WiFi bar at the rooms, and sometimes it disconnects. Basically if you want to upload your photos or use any other type of social network, you’ll have to go to the reception to do it.

I stayed there for 3 weeks, the staff was very cooperative and friendly and helped whenever I had any demands for this long stay. The room was clean, the a/c was working properly and there was a good wi-fi signal inside. Breakfast was good, the location of the hotel was good (2 min walking distance from the spanish steps) and I wasn't disappointed whatsoever by my stay in that hotel, as its price and location are very reasonable for a hotel in Rome.
