It's such a sweet and welcoming hotel. People are very nice and honest. It's what I hoped to find in Rome. I liked the room, nice space and bathroom. It had everything I needed. Wifi was a bit hard to work, though. I loved that the breakfast had fruits and vegan options. The receptionist was honest about the price and let me pre-pay cash, which I appreciate. No demands for cards.
When we checked in we were treated like family arriving. Helpful staff very helpful all shifts the whole six days we were there. Minor glitch with reservation corrected immediately with patience and respect. Rooms clean, neat, and breakfast was great. A/C Issues on the first day, again - immediately corrected. Computer and printer in the lobby handy for city tour and airline boarding pass printing. Student district everything close. Saved us some money by helping with Airport transportation.
A lovely hotel, nice clean rooms and a very good breakfast. Staff have all been very friendly and helpful. Free (very good) wifi, and tea and coffee also available from bar area. Air conditioning works well but bit noisy at night when it cuts in and your trying to sleep, but that's only downside. Rooms cleaned daily, and all toiletries provided including tooth brush and razor! Highly recommend.
I booked here for a conference in May. On the first afternoon, the room was warm, about 75, and I asked about a/c. The desk manager told me it was not switched on yet. He said I could open the window and be sure to turn off the heat. As others have noticed, this is a noisy area. Two days later, it reached 27 C/ 80 F in Rome and my room that afternoon was 25.4 C / 78 F. No a/c and it couldn't be turned on. He offered me a "terrace room" that was 26 C / 79 F. The terrace was a lively square. (Photos of both thermostats included.) Saturday morning, when I did not have work, I woke up very early (and warm) because of the open window and no a/c. I booked this hotel because in part it listed air conditioning. I think they should refund me part or all of the cost for false advertising. Do not stay here.
Having had the chance to stay at this hotel I must say that I was really impressed. Very clean. Excellent staff and service. The reception staff were amazing. Very helpful and always willing to ensure your stay was perfect. Leandro (I hope I got this right) and Alberto where very knowledgeable about the area and really helpful in recommending great places to eat or go out . The hotel itself though not massive is still amazing . If u can I recommend pay the small fee to get a room with a terrace. Lovely view and nice to have an outdoor spot to sit. Be warned however ...the square below has a lot of restaurants and pubs. Great for me as the nightlife was incredible. But if u want total quiet then get a room on the opposite side of the hotel. The nice thing about the hotel is it's location. Not far from termini central station. Easy to get to all the sites from this slot. Tram 19 takes u all the way to the Vatican. The stop is a short walk from the hotel. Tickets are available from the local pubs and shops and are based on time . So..u could get all the way to the Vatican for €1.50. bargain. If u need anything else speak to Leandro at reception. Always happy to recommend and give great advice Overall. This hotel is a great place to stay.
I really enjoy in Hotel Laurentia. All workers (from the reception, cleaning staff and breakfast people) were lovely! I really recommend stay in for work, for pleasure, couples, families... close to Roma Termini and metro.
Staying here in March for my wife’s birthday we found the Laurentia the perfect place to set up base for 3 days of sight seeing. The hotel is not that far from the main station in Rome, Termini, around a 15 minutes stroll. Checking in was simple and Roberto gave us a really warm welcome. The room rate we had included the continental breakfast, which was plentiful and varied and would suit most palates. The hot bread rolls and cold meats/cheese were refreshed often throughout the breakfast slot (7-9.30). The room was clean, a good size and the bathroom facilities were modern. It also contained a generously sized safe (easily set and operated). Being at the front of the hotel, the room we had was a little noisy, we didn’t personally have a problem with it but others may find that a stay may not be as quiet as they would like. The hotel is situated in the San Lorenzo area of Rome NE of the station. The locale is mainly a student area and, possibly as a result, we found the bars and restaurants gave good value for your euro. We found that Leandro, at the desk, to be really helpful and cheerful and he is a real credit to the Hotel. He always took the time to talk to us and provide useful local information. The other staff too we likewise very friendly, Roberto and a few other we didn’t catch the names of. All in all we really enjoyed the stay and are already planning to visit again soon!
We traveled to Rome for 1 week in October to see all the wonderful tourist sites. As people have already mentioned in other reviews, yes the hotel is a bit of a walk from the Termini Station. But the hotel and the bang for your buck more that made up for it. The room was small but spacious and very comfortable. I think our room may have been renovated recently because the bathroom was up to date. More importantly to me; the beds were firm and comfortable and the pillows were too. The streets around the hotel can me a little noisy late at at night but we did not mind as we wanted to be near the local night life. Around the corner from the Hotel is wonderful restaurant called "I Fratelli". Fantastic food at great prices/ You have to eat there.
