We enjoyed our stay thanks to the friendly staff of this hotel. this hotel has a very good location , not far away from the Vatican city and well connected by public transportation to the historical centre. The room on the second floor was clean and quite, with all modern comforts. The reach buffet breakfast has many fresh product and the service is friendly , there is a joung girl who speaks very well english. We suggest this hotel to all our friends
Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, close to metro and bus stop although far from the city center. Hotel has no restaurant but is nearby some nice restaurants. Tours available from the desk and nice bar and coffee area.
"Relaxing, 4 star hotel with Jacuzzi tubes in every room"...apparently.... The hotel is situated in a location with relatively "okay" access to the city centre. The place needed renovation about 20 years ago, now it is just a joke as for a 4 star hotel. The staff of the hotel is not professional whatsoever, in addition the young receptionist is arrogant and somewhat full of her self with zero ability to provide any information necessary. The hotel is known for the luxury bath tubes with jacuzzi, if only they were working. The size of the tube is for 10 year old child and if you are an average person take the room with the shower because there is high probability that you may not fit into that one meter bath. Also when the jacuzzi setting was firstly switched on, I received a lovely spill of tiny rocks ,which tells that the last time it was used probably in previous century. As for budget 2 star hotel ,yes it might be an option but those advertised 4 stars are long in the past. On the positive note, breakfast was quiet good, once again not a 4 star hotel standard but good... Cleaning...only dry cleaning available in the hotel. At first it seems clean but white socks will tell you different. After two nights received lovely surprise of eye infection. On the first night made an attempt to go to the bar, as there is no staff, waited for 10 minutes for young receptionist to arrive, who on her appearance just said "What do you want?" in manner as if she is doing a big favor to us. Following her arrival waited another 10 minutes for a "barman" in lovely tracksuit (professional clothing is not neccessary in hotel). The barman seems to be the only person properly working in the hotel, he is a cleaner, kitchen staff, information desk and English speaker. Overall had the most disappointing stay and while checking out was asked to pay some sort of the Roman tax, which I had never faced in my life, out of multiple hotel in which I stayed. Once again , it is time to drop 2 stars ,in order to avoid customer dissatisfaction. And also since when socket adapters are 10 Euros? Usually, in 4 star hotels they are free or the borrowing option should be available.
I've been using this property for a group stay in January for past three years. The staff, led by Mr Guida, are the most cordial, friendly, family I've ever stayed with in Europe. The Hotel's a 15 minute ride from the Vatican, but is surrounded by a quaint village with shopping, etc. The service, attention to detail, and care of the staff are what set this apart from others. Breakfast is served every morning and is sumptuous. Don't overlook this gem of a property when travelling to Rome.
We ( a family of 4 persons 2 adults and 2 children) stayed 3 nights in this nice and good located hotel, at 3 Km. from Vatican city. We booked a family room, it was large and very comfortable for a family of 4 persons like ours. The pleasant surprice was the breakfast buffet on Jan. 6th, morning, it was also an extra breakfast buffet table only for the children. In Italy the 6th of Jan. is a specil holidays for children "the Epifany".This was something very special that the hottel staff gave so much attention for the children. WE enjoyed our stay and will recommend this 4 star hotel to all our friends
I booked this hotel on amoma.com, received a great rate (just the room rate, the local city tax isn't paid until you check out). The main reasons why I chose this hotel was because it had a lift and free wifi, everything outside of that was a bonus. The hotel was cute and clean and right across from a nice park. The 30 min trip from the airport was $45. Prior to finding the taxi at the airport, I called the front desk to see if they could send a shuttle, they couldn't at such short notice but they did tell me that the shuttle would have cost about the same. Once there, check in was a breeze. The front desk associates were nice enough and spoke English. The room was pretty clean and appointed nicely. It had a cute balcony. The negative: The room that we were booked into the heat was broken, unbeknownst to me at the time. By the time we found out, we were only there for 3 more days and it wasn't worth moving rooms. At night, it was FREEZING. I believe the hotel staff knew the room had no heat because there was an extra blanket in the closet that wasn't in other rooms. My issue is why would you even put anyone in that room, knowing the heat was broken. The positive: The breakfast was pretty good. The eggs and bacon weren't like back home but there was plenty other things to eat, cereal, yogurt, plenty of pastries, and bread, meats and cheese. The bartender Mark was AMAZING!!! The drinks were good and he was very helpful with information about the city, places to eat and things to do. As a usual solo woman traveler, I am always aware of my surroundings. I felt very safe! I felt very comfortable walking around after dark and around 11pm. The location wasn't in central Rome but wasn't super far from everything either, think Rome Suburbs. Tips: Don't use Uber in Italy!! Uber doesn't have UberX in Italy, it's been banned. They only have Uber Black, Uber Lux and Uber Van, whose rates are much higher than regular rates. Instead, download the It Taxi app, its much cheaper than Uber and works the same way. I paid 9 euros to get to Vatican City by IT taxi when I paid Uber twice that on the day prior to get to the same location. The Metro station is only about a 5 min walk down the street if you want to get to central Rome that way but the Metro gets really really packed about 6 stops before Termini Station... I'd never do that again, even if someone paid me. Overall, my stay here was pretty good and I would stay here again. I'd also offer this as a suggestion to someone visiting Rome.
We booked this 4 star hotel from the hotel home page where we found the best availale rate on the web. It was a good choice , all was to our satisfaction: the staff was friendly and professional, the breakfast was with a Reach buffet breakfast, the room was large, clean and quite , with a small balcony with a nice view on the pinewood in front of the hotel. The price are very reasonable , we can say that they have good value for money.
This is considered an "airport hotel," but it has much more character than most. Many rooms do now have balconies, so ask for one when you make your reservation, if that matters to you. Also, some rooms have only showers, while others have tubs with showers. I've stayed in both kinds. Most rooms have 2 twin beds, but some have a double bed. It is an older hotel but well cared for. Rooms are a little small but very manageable for two. The price is economical. Decor is "classical." I had one room with a balcony, 2 twins, and a full bath that was completely tiled in marble. Very elegant. Our adult son stayed in a separate room. The staff is extremely professional and helpful. There is an open area on the roof with tables. The lobby is decorative, although the couches sink down rather too far for my tastes! Breakfast is very good with lots of choices and is served on the lower level. Two elevators are available for the stairs-challenged. There is a small but friendly bar in the lobby. My husband and I even enjoyed the nearby supermarket (5 minute walk) where we bought our dinner makings one night after a hard day of sight-seeing. Nearby neighbors on at least two sides of the hotel are apartment buildings, and they were quiet at night. We never had noise problems during the three nights we spent there.
Very nice staff, the room was more 3-star than 4-star. Breakfast buffet is well taken care of, we would have wished for less industrial food at the breakfast buffet. Opposite to the hotel there is a large green area, a bit wild but nice for a stroll.
Our family stayed at this hotel for five nights in a room at the top floor. The room had no balcony, and two tiny windows with a terrible view over concrete roofs in the neighbourhood. Very disappointing! The bathroom was really tiny (to be a 4 people room bathroom) with a extremely narrow shower. The beds were hard, and the fourth bed (an extra bed) was terrible for an adult to sleep in. The brekfast area was crowded with tables that were too close to each other, making it hard to move between the table and the buffet. The breakfast was OK. However, at several mornings during our stay, some plates in the buffet were empty and not refilled spontanously by the staff. The 12 minutes walk to the Metro station went through shady streets in a suburb area, and we didn't feel safe when we walked here in the evening. If we would return to the hotel in future, we would rather go by taxi from central Rome to the hotel during dark hours instead of walking from the Metero. Although there is a nice pinewood park across the street from the hotel, we never experienced that we could view the park from the hotel, neither from the breakfast area or from our room. The day before we were leaving, we asked the staff to order a taxi to the airport for us next morning. But the taxi never arrived, and the taxi company said that they hadn't received the order. In fact, the reception staff doubted that someone actually had placed our order o the taxi company the day before... We were not impressed at all with our stay at Pinewood Hotel Rome. The hotel is rated 4 stars, but gave the impression of a worn 2 star hotel. I would not recommend it. I am sure there are better 4 star hotels at this price level around Rome.
