Arrived at hotel in morning from US after overnight flight. In spite of having contacted them in advance about our morning arrival, staff was indifferent and brusque. Did not help in anyway. Instead of some welcoming words to senior citizens who have arrived after a tiring flight, the staff shrugged their shoulders and read us the rule book about check in time. The lobby is small and dark, looks like a dungeon, and smells of cigarette smoke. Coffee in the room was packets of instant powder and no milk or creamer. TV did not work for several days, even after we brought the problem to their attention. Highly overpriced hotel. The only positive thing is their location, which they are milking to no end. Overall, highly over-rated hotel. Does not at all deserve four stars. Would not recommend.

It was a wonderful experience. Staff, location, cleanliness, everything was great!

A turn of the century period upscale hotel in the shadow of The Forum. Breakfast served in the lovely roof-top outdoor restaurant. White glove type of service. Helpful, accomodating staff. I have never spent over 200 for a hotel, but this time, I really wanted to be in a nice hotel and near colosseum, so I imagine the rate was fitting to have accomplished both.

The Forum Hotel is a great value with a professional staff. The location is good on the end of Rome near the Coliseum, the ancient Forum market ruins are just outside the front door. It has a nice dinning room on the top floor. I would recommend and return.

Fantastic location--if you are a walker, you won't need any transportation! A few blocks from the Coliseum, 45 min walk to Vatican, and 25 min walk to train station that will connect you to the airport and the rest of Italy! Staff was fantastic--friendly, helpful, and excellent language skills. Charming décor with larger rooms by European standards

During our overnight stay, we walked to many sites such as the Colosseo, Arco di Costantino, Foro di Cesare, Fontana di Trevi, etc. The staff was extremely helpful and allowed us to store our luggage with them for several hours after we checked out. The room was very modest, but the location was perfect.

Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast was great and view from terrace restaurant is perfect.

If you really want to get a taste of OLD Roma this is it. Alot of restaurants and activities at your fingertips.

Hotel was very good, though not as central as on previous trips. Close to forum, colosseum. Breakfast was about average,roof-top restaurant very good views over the forum. Staff were friendly and polite. Hotel changed system for gaining entrance to rooms and lighting but failed to notify residents prior to change over caused some confusion. Would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Rome for business or leisure. Only real complaint would be that the shower was very tight, I`m 6ft 225lbs someone bigger would find it difficult in turning around in the shower, but that was a very small issue for me. Great restaurants near by

Hard to find, yet right in the thick of things! The front door is shadowed by ruins on two sides! On the immediate Via Cavour you find a great street for Cafe, Pizza, Pastries and general knick-knack shopping. Walk a few blocks, up Cavour and you find even more shopping options off the multitude of side streets and larger cross streets you encounter. The Forum is in the shadow of the Colosseum and a stone's toss from many, many other sights. The rooftop restaurant is a nice place to enjoy cafe from in the morning and vino from at night. The staff is extremely friendly.

Location is great. Rooms are small but location is perfect

The Forum is a beautiful hotel right next to the Forum and Coliseum. The hotel lobby, restaurant and rooftop bar are awesome! You couldn't ask for a better location. The rooms were very basic and need to be updated. There was only one small window on the side of the room which made it dark and damp. The beds were less than average. Overall a good hotel, but you're paying for the location, not a comfortable room. Overall a decent choice, but you have to pay
