We stayed in the family apartment a few streets away. Pros: spacious, beds were comfortable, great location, staff was responsive.
Cons: the apartment could do with a lot of updating. The main shower drain was blocked (we did mention this, but it never was fixed) and the shower door was being kept on the rails by tape. Both showers are extremely small, as well there are only shower heads, so if you don't want to wash your hair, it is very hard to maneouver yourself in order to not get your hair wet. The shower heads were also very calcified and my husband had to clean them out in order to get decent water flow. In addition, while it is stipulated there is a fee you pay when you get to the hotel, it is said the hotel takes cards and cash, but the man we met with when we checked in would only take cash - this was very unexpected and ate into the cash we had budgeted for the trip. It was also very difficult to find the place to check in, the instructions were not clear and we could not get in to the building, luckily a random person coming by let us in. Things to be aware of that are not stipulated in the hotel description: there are 55 steps to go up with no elevator. And if you want fresh towels or your room to be cleaned, you have to ask for it, it is not automatic. Lastly, all of the services and amenities that are offered and advertised to hotel guests, are not offered to those that stay in the family apartment.
