The walls of my room were quite dirty. My “double bed” was also two twins pushed together that would separate throughout the night. I asked the staff for a bottle opener to open a bottle of wine and they told me it would be 5£ (cash only kind of suspicious) when the night before a different employee let me borrow it with no issues. Also tried to tell me outside drinks were not allowed in the hotel which I have never experienced staying at hotels all across the world. It felt like because I was young and only spoke English that I was taken advantage of. I would not stay here again and the only reason I rate it above average is because of the cleaning staff and the associate who was extremely kind when I checked out. Very dissatisfied for a 4 star hotel. It was also located about an hours walking distance from the main part of Rome.

The breakfast staff was amazing there was a man I dont remember his name but him and Enza were so sweet! They always knew my order right away for coffee. The service man was also very friendly making me feel welcomed with a smile. The location if very convenient and walkable or bus stops close by! The neighbourhood was very safe id walk at night time by myself as a solo female traveler i felt safe here. My only complaint would be the bald man with glasses at the front desk he was very rude my first check in when asking questions and was very uncomfortable for me as it was my first time travelling especially was not the best start as he checked me in. Other than that it was amazing !

This hotel is not a four star. It definitely has an amazing spread for breakfast however it is dirty and the staff seemed to not be interested in helping you. Requests on the app are not adhered to.

We stayed in San Giovanni Roma for 6 nights.Overall impression is good,but there are pisitive and negative impressions. The cleanliness is excellent- rooms are cleaned regularly and towels changed daily, no bad smells,dining hall is also always very clean.Also it is decorated in a modern style and looking very sleek,but homely comfortable.The atmosphere is calm and quiet,noise protection in the room is good.Breakfast is nutricious and fresh. The minuses- it is a bit far from the metro station - 15min walk.There is a bus stop nearby,but you have to wait quite long for a bus and often they are not on schedule. Also,there are no coffee or tee facilities in the rooms,which was a big disappointment. Bar exists downstairs.Breakfast lacks variety - you won't go hungry,but it is the same every day.TV has hundreds of channels, but all are in Italian.There is no laundry, but if you need - laundry services are provided at really high prices.The staff in the reception is OK,but could be a bit more welcoming and informative.There is no shuttle bus from the airport, as advertised on some sites.Also,don't forget about tourist tax at the end of your stay - which nobody reminds you of when you just get in the hotel.It came as a shocking surprise to pay 90euro at check out after we thought we paid everything while booking.
