I would love to give this hotel a better rating as it is the second time I have stayed here (first was in 2011). The decor and amenities seem exactly the same as 6 years ago and this is not a good thing! The staff were courteous and helped to change our room when we had a problem with the first one. Of the rooms - the air is very dry. It is hard to open a window in the cold weather and the current heating system blows out hot air. This in not like a modern AC system and therefore really dries out your throat. Breakfast was okay but on the first day they ran out of pastries! When asked about this they said they only order a set amount and therefore could not do anything.
The room was very good 😊 the staff wow fantastic the restaurant very nice the Cake 🎂 wow fantastic and so testy we will definitely be back thanks wow wow I will definitely ask friend to come here thanks a Lott
We were placed here as the hotel we had booked had a problem and made us this reservation. We stayed three nights. First night, the room was absolutely TINY and the bed extremely uncomfortable. We spoke to reception the following morning who had no problem changing our room and it made a huge difference. The second room was more spacious, and comfortable. The staff work hard and the breakfast buffet included was adequate, offering a variety of fresh fruit, cold meats, hot food etc. Hotel overall could do with some modernisation and refurbishment, but due to the friendly nature of the people here, I would recommend.
The winning factor of this hotel is the location, most of the major tourist attractions were only a walk away. 10 minutes walk to the Spanish steps, 10/15 minutes walk to St peters square and the trevi fountain and around a 20 minute walk to the colosseum. We loved visiting the churches which are all open and free ro walk into, they are all stunning. The hotel itself is nice and quiet which is nice to come back to after a busy day! The rooms were spacious and the bed very comfy, the breakfast was nice but a little basic, a few more options would have been good. The staff are all really friendly and helpful if you have any questions. We walked to piazza Navona for dinner, a lovely square with plenty of choices for restaurants. We also walked along the river to Trastevere. Bit of a walk away but worth a visit both in the day and night, lots of beautiful cobbled streets with plenty of restaurants which were a lot cheaper too! Will definitely return to the hotel and Rome one day.
Stayed in April for 3 nights - quiet place , high standards and best quality value for money hotel in Rome - lovely continental breakfast and coffee - rooms modern and good quality fixture and fittings
We stayed for four days while in Rome. The price was right and was very centrally located. We enjoyed the stay very much. The room was plenty big for two of us. The bed was a bit hard or my taste, but i prefer a softer bed. The pillows were comfy. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk staff spoke English very well and would give us directions each time we asked. Getting around by bus is super easy and the bus stop is steps away. We bought a pass for the bus, so we would just jump on an away we'd go. Several times, we went back to the room during the day to refresh and out again we'd go. The central location near the bus stop made that possible. Our room had a window and we would open it to let in fresh air and take in the sounds of the city while getting ready in the morning. (Weather was so good during our visit). The breakfast buffet was decent. The coffee was good. The staff that worked breakfast were quick and efficient. Much appreciated. The minute you leave, they had your table cleared and cleaned and ready for the next guest. No dirty dishes sitting around. They had American coffee out at all times and offered to make Cappuccino every day. I would 100% stay there again. The only negative to me was the wifi wasn't great. It kept logging us out. All the time! And it was just kind of weird that you had to go through their web page to access it. We didn't have access to the internet on our phones while in Italy as we didn't want the expense that our provider wanted to charge, so we counted on the hotel internet to stay in touch with folks back home as well as research restaurants and site seeing. An upgrade to the internet would be a huge plus. Hope to stay here again though!
The entire experience was great, perfect location, excellent price and very helpful and friendly staff. My only wish was if the breakfast would have been more savoury and less sweet. All in all, we loved our stay.
I stayed here for three night with my daughter and cousin and had a great experience. The hotel is not fancy but kept clean. The men working at the front desk were very kind and helpful. They helped us get taxis.and made good suggestions for dinner and sight seeing. Great value hotel! Breakfast is included and good too! I would recommend it!
Stayed here for two nights while in Rome to see U2 in concert. Excellent location for the sights of Rome in particular Vatican City. Bus stop to Olympic Stadium for concert right outside. Nice continental breakfast. Helpful staff.
Hotel is old, old fashioned and could need an update. Service is not very good. Breakfast is below average. Location is very good for sightseeing and restaurants. Close to St. Peter's church as well as the Spanish stair. Very good and cheap restaurants around the corner.
