Friends of ours had selected this hotel so we booked here as well. It was pleasant, and nicely appointed. Unless you go for the superior rooms, you might be surprised at how small they are. The service staff while appearing polite and friendly, or weren't terribly helpful with requests. The location was probably the best part of our stay.
From arriving at the door through your stay, you will not be disappointed. Every staff member goes out of their way to make you feel you like you are the only one there ! Wow! Location is key on any trip, and the St. George exceeds expectations. Every historical site you want to see is easily in reach by walking. The Vatican is just a short walk and you can see the beautiful doom at night from the roof top garden. And, get your reservation in early for a balcony suite. Wow ! Lounging on your balcony early in the morning with coffee or at night, is a way to end a wonderful day ! This hotel has it all. As a first timer to Italy and Rome, we were not disappointed. Our sincerest thanks!
This is my 3rd stay here and it really is an exceptional hotel. It's a smaller hotel than you realise, and in a great central location. It somehow escapes the tourist crowds on quiet Via Giulia, the hotel is very comfortable, with sizable stylish, well designed rooms that are very comfortable. Great beds! The rooftop bar is a great place to unwind and the small lobby is intimate and peaceful. Above all though, the service here is excellent. I have to pay special mention to Roberto at front of house, who goes well beyond the norm to help and assist in any way possible. His level of professionalism really shines. Nothing is too much of a problem. His kind of service makes all the difference to the weary traveller. It's great to see service with a smile, which can be rare in overcrowded Rome. I love this hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on on European travels. This place is GREAT!!!! The customer service was superior! The location is perfect, within a very close walk to Vatican City, the beautiful river, great shopping, etc. the hotel gave us a cell phone to use as a GPS while not connected to wifi. They have free wifi in the hotel. I also got a massage that was terrific. Strongly suggest!! They have shutters over the windows that make the room completely dark if you want to sleep in and not be disturbed by the light. I have stayed in quite a few hotels in my day and this was the best customer service I have ever received! Also, I have never been given a cell phone to use to make international calls, internet and GPS while all around Roma. Definitely 5 stars!!!!
From start to finish we had a great experience at the Hotel Indigo. Our room was spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable. It had a great window that opened onto Via Guilia. The hotel staff were professional and friendly and made every effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We had a minor issue one morning in the restaurant - long wait and cold breakfast, but it was handled effectively and to our satisfaction by Management. Location of the hotel was excellent within walking distance of most top sites including Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St Peters Basilica, Coliseum, Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and more. Via Guila is an interesting historical street and also close to good shopping and restaurants. The Hotel has a more intimate and welcoming feel than some of the larger hotels. We were totally satisfied with our five night visit and would definitely return in the future.
This was my first trip to Rome and visiting the city was number one on my bucket list. My husband was considering booking a larger hotel closer to the center of Rome, but I convinced him that we should stay at the Hotel Indigo. This hotel was so charming, but super chic as well. It gave a homey, local feeling but with the amenities of a huge hotel. The staff was amazing. Super friendly and accommodating. Rooms are small compared to the U.S. but you're in Rome so who cares! The room was cute and comfortable and perfectly fine for what we needed. Location was great. We were able to walk to most places. We also spent time at the rooftop bar and restaurant, great views, great vibes, great olives (The St. George cocktail is delizioso!) I'm claustrophobic so I couldn't do the elevator so I just took the stairs. Overall, great hotel. Would stay here again when we return to Rome next year.
We were finishing a 10 day trip, found the location and service at this hotel extraordinarily gracious. Rooms were delightful, clean, refreshing, neighborhood was great - just a slight turn - and you are in a nice quiet street - which is hard to find in Rome. We ate on the roof deck and had breakfast in the courtyard, both were fantastic venues - food was great - wait staff superior in terms of friendliness. Highly recommend for families as there was plenty of room to spread out. Great value, great place.
We stayed at the Hotel Indigo while in Rome for the first few days of our honeymoon, and we absolutely loved it! The location is perfect - close to everything but very quiet. On the cutest street with lots of restaurants nearby. We loved the rooftop bar The bed was hard, but we found all of beds that we stayed in during our time in Italy were, so no issues. The bed, while hard, helped up sleep like rocks. The room gets dark in the day so it was easy to take naps to get over our jet lag! The front desk was very helpful, helped us get taxis and anything else we needed. I'd definitely stay there again!
Stayed here for 3 nights , hotel is very central and the team are great, do have a drink on the rooftop terrace, the only thing that I felt let it down was the price of breakfast at €29 I thought was outrageous, a yoghurt was €6 , needless to say there was no one having breakfast, please review your prices IHG it's the only thing wrong with the place .
Our room was delightful, larger than most and very comfortable. Service was fantastic, and the staff also brought us complimentary champagne and desserts for the last night of our honeymoon, which was incredibly thoughtful. The location is ideal -close to Piazza Navona and the Vatican, and allows for lovely strolls along the river. I will definitely come back!
