The Nepolean is the quintessential European hotel. The front staff is excellent and helpful, from suggesting restaurants to arranging taxis. They seem to know what we wanted before we asked and we never had to worry. The price was excellent, rooms were very clean and cared for. They even laid out slippers for each person. The Victor Emmanuel train station is right in front of the hotel making for convenient travel in Rome. I will recommend all my friends staying in Rome to stay at the Nepolean.

Convenient location, friendly, helpful personnel with an excellent included breakfast buffet. Perfect!

Walking distance to the most part of the historic town

The bad: Very difficult to find the hotel, should improve the info about the location. The better: Marina, the front desk host. Very cordial, helpful and profesional.

Close to train station and subway. friendly staff. The only complain is it only have the tub shower.

This is hands down the worst hotel I've ever stayed at anywhere in the world at any price. I am totally baffled by the positive reviews, and I cannot believe that they are genuine. Firstly, the room they put me in looked nothing like the photographs online. It was so old, dirty and small that I wanted to vomit. When I complained to the staff they put me in a larger room, which was better but still terrible when compared to other Rome hotels. Whoever photographed this place should win every photography award in existence. It looks like it overdue for a renovation twenty years ago. The hotel is a dump and the neighborhood is a very sketchy. The breakfast was equally disgusting. There is nothing good about this place and absolutely nothing that justifies the prices they charge. I feel totally ripped off and am only writing this review because I feel obligated to warn other travelers so they don't make the same mistake I did. I cannot overexaggerate how bad this hotel is. I stayed here one night and even woke up at 6:30am the following morning to pack my things and book another hotel so I get out of the Napoleon ASAP. The other hotel I booked was $15 more and one of the best hotel I ever stayed at in Italy. There are so many wonderful hotels in Rome at this price point that there is absolutely no reason to consider Napoleon. This place has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I cannot blame the staff because they did their best considering the circumstances.

Right net to metro stop, literally 10 meters. Awesome breakfast, helpful staff.

Only thing I would say is the shower has an odd tweek to it that it never keeps a temperature steady. It just goes back and forth between hot and cold..

enjoyed everything the train station is in walking distance staff very nice and helpful

It’s an interesting hotel. Definitely has older charm and character. Friendly staff for the most part. Breakfast was included and was tasty. Some of the older features in the hotel like the carpeting made it feel like it wasn’t very clean. Also, our room had a couple of random hairs in the bathroom before we even used it. That was a little off-putting. We were happy when we booked that the hotel website boasted the option of a late checkout if needed. Unfortunately when we inquired during our stay, we were told no immediately. We ended up waiting in the lobby for over two hours with our luggage still in our hotel room for almost all of that time. No one went to our room to clean or prepare it for the next guests while were waiting in the lobby so why couldn’t we have just had the late check out? It wasn’t very accommodating considering the website goes out of the way to mention it.

It was dated and in a dirty part of town. Shower was really small. However it was inexpensive.

they were very helpful during my stay there. The staff were very nice as well.

The concierge staff were helpful, polite and friendly. We were given great recommendations for restaurants and local shopping

Decent property fairly near the Termini train station. The hotel needs refurbishment. The staff is great, though, and we also enjoyed a free happy hour on Saturday. Rooms are adequate, although a bit smaller than other Rome hotel rooms I have stayed at. The area is a bit seedy, especially at night. There is a metro station directly in front of the hotel that made it very convenient, especially for visiting the Vatican.
