You get what you pay for: low cost=low end. Very dated, thin walls, heater unreliable. Bed was clean but comforter stained & sheet had a couple cigarette burns. Butts & beer cans on the walkway, Well lit outside at night.
The room itself wasn't bad and the exterior was well lit. If it had been in a better part of Richmond we may have stayed the full night. Unfortunately, their were lots of people wandering about outside the room and sirens constantly. We needed sleep and comfort. We went to another place with interior rooms.

For a quick cheap stay it not t bad. It’s not super clean, but the bedding seemed clean. My main issue was the bathroom. Hair on the toilet and the shower head looked like it may have had mold on it. I would not shower there.
Our expieriene was very pleasant and rewarding. I would choose this as my permanent place to stay while in Richmond
The staff was super friendly. We stayed two days with our 2 year old son. The room was clean. Breakfast was just ok. But overall it was a great place for the price. Showers were HOT and had good water pressure.
Adequate for a quick stop. Pretty much what you would expect from an older motel. Would stay there again if I was in the area.
we checked in and went to eat, came back and laid on top of covers for a while. when we pulled the covers down ther was little black bugs all over both beds. we immediately grabbed our stuff and put it in the trash bags in the room and took it to the car and went and told the manager we wanted our moneyback.they said we would have to call Monday and talk to the manager and I am still trying to get in touch with her. nightmare!!!
the clerk wasn't friendly, the room smelled smoky, the carpet was dirty, the TV was old tube type, Wi-Fi didn't work, AC was very noisy, just like the idling diesel truck that was parked 200 ft. outside our window, bathroom was the only bright spot in the room, clean and bright....overall it was NOT a good experience

Sheets and pillow cases were musty smelling. Room was non-smoking, but the odor of smoke was clear and compelling. Coffee maker had to be jostled and re-plugged three times before it worked. Face cloth and towels were so raspy, I believe I could have skinned a potato with them. I did not expect a Taj Mahal for $56. I did expect fresh smelling sheets, soft towels and no smell of tobacco. Days Inn is off my list of places to stay.

The staff, hotel and room were all great. All the drink machines were empty. May not be their fault. Definitively would stay there again.
I had read the reviews and was really scared to book here but had no other choice-I was soooo wrong-The reviews I could not understand cause my room was CLEAN and believe me, I LOOKED! I will stay here again on my next visit--Thank you
Days Inn are good values, but I stayed in two of them and they seem to be in general disrepair regarding electric and door operation. Both hotels had the same defects even though they were hundreds of miles apart. Half the lights and sockets didn't work and the door barely opened halfway.
We booked two rooms and arrived later than our other traveling family members so retrieved the key from them . After transferring 3 sleeping children after midnight, we didn't even think to check for the fridge which was to have come with the reservation and was vitally important for us as we travel with medicine which requires refrigeration. No fridge! Additionally there were cigarette butts on our non-smoking floor and no shower curtain. The description of "newest hotel in Richmond" is misleading. It seems quite old. But it did have beds, and we were tired, esp. after hunting down an ice machine for the medicine.

This is an older Inn. Access to the room was outside doors. The door to our room was not tight, and had a space at the bottom. The room was clean.
