A great place, very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views and great pools and facilities. The spa is very professional and the staff in the hotel are very helpful. Also the food is tasty. The main city is a few minutes driving so a rented car is recommended (there is also a shuttle service)
Just what we needed! Late week in the sun. Food excellent, staff friendly, great location. A la carte restaurants were great too. Hired a car and explored. Saw Tony Hadley in the hotel. Travelled with my daughter.
Although this year the hotel was looking a little tired and could've benefited from some attention to repairs and maintenance, it was the end of the season and the staff continue to work extremely hard. Food and drink fantastic, rooms very comfortable and Greece pretty much always does what it says on the tin! For a female that solo travels I would thoroughly reccommend this hotel!
Arrived midnight on 13th October to be told our room wasn't ready but we were to be upgraded to a room with a pool. We were taken by golf buggy to their sister hotel for the night where we were treated very well and even managed to get a couple of drinks even though the bar should have been closed. Next morning we went for breakfast as instructed then stopped by the reception to find out if our room was now ready for us to be told 'not until 12'. At that time we were taken back to our hotel only to be told our room wasn't going to be available until 1. Finally at about 1.30 we were taken to our room. Once inside we looked around, no towels and the safe was locked so we thought we would check out our pool. We'll we could see it from our balcony but had no access as it was for the room below so back to reception we went to be told that we were mistaken and we hadn't been promised a room with a pool even though several other people told they had heard the original receptionist tell us that. Towels were delivered along with a cheap bottle of wine and the safe was unlocked. All of this meant we had lost most of our first day so we weren't impressed. Day 2 and we discovered the fridge wouldn't shut so back to reception again, they said they would get maintenance to sort it so we relaxed by the pool for the day but on returning to our room we discovered the fridge open and unplugged with a towel from the bathroom stuffed inside and a nice puddle on the floor. We cleared it up and despite the bad start decided to make the most of our holiday. The food was lovely especially the Greek and Italian restaurants and the cleaning and restaurant staff seemed to be working all hours but still managed to smile and be cheerful. We heard lots of similar stories to ours from other guests so it is safe to say we won't be returning anytime soon.
I have never reviewed anything before on trip advisor but after visiting this hotel at end August and being unable to get any help with jet 2 holidays who we booked it through I have to warn all other people considering going there. This is sold as a 5 star hotel . It is not even a 3 star . Facilities outside were great but with filthy rooms sadly any facilities are pointless without comfortable and most importantly clean rooms . Jet 2 have been appalling at looking into my issues which were: arriving to 2 rooms both twin room when we requested 1 double before we arrived. Having no covers on the beds but 1 thin sheet and then revealing stains on all the rooms beds that were absolutely disgusting and covered 1/2 of the beds . Had no jacuzzi working for 4 days then when mended the filth that came out of the equipment into the bath was disgusting and sadly not seen till the jacuzzi was switched of and I then realised what was in the water after having a bath . After the upset when we arrived and 1 hour to check in we thought a drink at the Bar to get us through the first night on the filthy mattress was the only option ...... sorry no free drinks in the all inclusive hotel as after 12 midnight ... The beds did not have protectors put on her. We were there all week despite our complaints but ours simply had a mattress topper to convert it into a double. This jet 2 thought was acceptable with no comment on my children’s mattresses or the fact that the mattresses still don’t have mattress covers on . The empty shampoo bath , shower gel pots etc were left all week on side of bath and no refills given at all until we asked each day . No hair conditioner offered . Towels were hard and grey and on complaining only then did they replace with white soft ones after day 4 we got fed up of asking . My children’s towels on 2 occasions were stained although were clean they too were grey and hard . The plug hole and overflow around bath and taps had black grime around all week .. never cleaned . The fridge had not been cleaned before we arrived despite our requests all week .... The manager in the hotel was rude and dismissed us on the first night when I saw the twin beds and staining ( only looked under sheet to see if I could zip the beds together ... then saw the stains ... I was nearly sick ) Jet 2 response is these issues are not serious enough to warrant taking any further ... Sorry for the length of this but at over £5k for this holiday I would not want anyone else to choose this hotel without knowing these issues .
Spent a week here with a friend and my Son, despite a few issues with our room on arrival our stay here was fabulous, wonderful room with private pool too. All staff friendly and helpful, the cleaning staff were amazing and clean towels in the rooms everyday. Food was excellent, always a wide selection and something for everyone. Pools and surrounding areas outstandingly clean and tidy, sunbeds very comfortable and we never had any problem getting one. Some lovely on-site shops well worth a browse. A few bars and restaurants a short walk away and bus stops readily available for a trip in to Rhodes town. All in all a great time was had by all. If I had any negatives (and it is from a safety point of view only) it would be that a little bit of lighting on the driveway leading to the hotel would be helpful for the late returners!!. We would definitely return.
we booked the holiday with jet 2, the hotel is rated 5 star! no chance! we have travelled all over the world to different hotels all inclusive and never had food this bad before. all of the food was lukewarm at best, I asked the Restaurant Manager why all the food was cold, which he denied it was and said he would go and check the temperature of all the food on offer! he came back to me and said it was only my food that was cold! what a load of rubbish, everybody was saying the food was flat cold! such a shame the hotel has employed such a inadequate restaurant manager to run things! never again!
Hotel was lovely food was lovely but the housekeeping let the hotel down. We ordered a double room and got 2 twin beds as was told no double mattress toppers available and it took 3 days before one was available. Bathrobe supplied had lipstick on and smell of perfume so obviously not cleaned only 1 cup and 1 glass was left in the room. Bath towels were grey and dingy and dirty quilt left in room for days
The hotel staff were excellent. The hotel itself is starting to get s bit tired but overall it was not bad, although as an all inclusive it lacked some minor points, they should replace the water in the fridge daily instead of expecting you fill the bottle from drink fountains. The spa was a little expensive too. Food was nice and the Italian was excellent.
Arrived here 13/23 rd of October . On arrival several people were shown to the hotel next door as this one was apparently over booked . Our room 196 was over the car park and so noisy we didn’t sleep a wink the first night . Having complained that we had paid for a superior room with sea views . We were told to come back after lunch . Having waisted our first full day here , we were eventually given keys to another room. Defiantly not a good call . Although it was in a quieter park of the hotel the room was disgusting . Damp dirty and smelt so damp I didn’t even unpack . As I returned to reception . I noticed our previous room had already been occupied . Unbelievable as they certainly wouldn’t have had time to clean it. The food was terrible , only one person on the bar for our entire visits . The hotel is only half a mile from the sewerage tanks and the smell can be over powering . Having visited Rhodes a total of eight times this is by far the worst hotel on the island . If you haven’t already booked then save your money or book another hotel . If you have booked then you have my sympathy . The palladium up the road is amazing as I have stayed there . Also look at the Electra palace at the top of the Island . Stayed there last year and you get waiter service and a beautiful hotel for less money . The keratin is anything but Royal . Dirty towels tired rooms and furniture . The pictures in online are misleading as none of the rooms look anything like that . I know because I saw a few and spoke to many unhappy people there . If like me you work hard for your money you only want what you have paid for . You won’t find it here that’s for sure .
