I came here from the 1st may- 8th with my girlfriend and what an amazing holiday i had. First of all, there was not one person at the full hotel that didn’t give me good customer service with manners and a big smile. Check in was fast and easy, my room was a garden view and the room its self was very modern and furnished well. The cleaners do a fantastic job, the room was spotless. The hotel has 3 pools, the top one with a bar and the huge bottom one, one of the biggest pools I’ve ever been in, however it was cold, but that was no big deal as it was fine once you were in. (As everyone says) and finally an indoor poor which we didn’t visit. We booked the two restaurants (which were also free) when we arrived, the Italian restaurant was very modern and had a nice vibe, plenty to choose from with some beautiful dishes to choose from, our host Martha was very nice and had a warm smile asking how our evening was and if our food was nice, even recommended a nice wine for us. The chefs do an amazing job and the pizza was delicious. The greek restaurant was held by the pool bar (Porte De Mare) the service again was fantastic, by Arda. Great customer service, she was bubbly and had a big smile helping me choose the best dishes as i was unfamiliar with the meals. I had a Borek and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are 4 bars on the resort, The top pool bar, bottom pool bar, bella vista and the reception bar. The reception bar was an island bar absolutely amazing, white marble and looked high class. The service the full holiday from Fotis and Antonis was outstanding, very nice people and as always, service with a smile. The service at all of the bars here was fast and they were keen looking around to make sure no one was empty handed. The bella vista bar was my favourite bar, very classy and modern again very nice atmosphere. The drinks list was exceptional, plenty to choose from and all tasted amazing! The two bar staff Triantafillos, and Matina could not have done enough, always smiley, warm and asking how your day was, always tidying up and cleaning when they weren’t serving people, both hard working people. Amazing customer service. They even brought us some tequila shots on our last night and laughed with us as i tried not to throw up haha. Great people. The food in the hotel at the Athina, (main restaurant) was 9/10, some beautiful dishes all fresh, plenty to choose from, a variety of salads and fruit and veg and desserts were incredible. The woman at the entrance always smiling and it was pleasant to be greeted by her as you walked in. My only criticism is sometimes the food was warm and not as hot as i would have liked, but i understand it is a buffet, and wont be replenished until it is half empty. There were a few theme nights, greek and chinese, where there were spring rolls, shrimp noodles and samosas, delicious. The photos whilst booking this hotel, do it no justice whatsoever, it is way better and bigger in person, absolutely beautifully designed/decorated, with some amazing features like the waterfalls and water fountains and views. Also theres plenty of seating areas and sun loungers, we never had to get up early and battle for one. The small criticism i have is one of our chairs was taken from our balcony, (maybe staff or tourist) and we requested a new one 3 times from reception over 4 days and gave up because we never got one. But it was not a big deal. Also whilst we were there, there did not seem to be much entertainment on, which would have been nice to pass time whilst enjoying a drink. However we are pretty early in the season so there might be more on when it gets busier. Also there does not seem to be too much to do nearby as it is quite an isolated hotel but if you’re looking to relax, this is the place for you! The receptionists were helpful getting us taxis a few times to Faliraki (10 mins) and old town rhodes (10 mins), i recommend old town Rhodes it was incredible. A huge castle wall around the centre with all the shops and restaurants inside. We got the sense that everyone enjoyed working there and wanted to give the customers a great experience and it was truly an amazing holiday. We saw the manager wondering around talking to staff and you could tell they all got on laughing with him, and were not intimidated by his presence which shows it is ran very well, good relationships at work equals good productivity. Excellent value for money and the most enjoyable holiday i have been on! Best customer service i have ever received we were made to feel very welcome from start to finish. Very relaxing week at the Kresten . Reception service was rather slow but once got passed that and settled in I was very impressed by the hotel . Extremely busy and all inclusive and usual eclectic mix of peoples from different cultures in the restaurant . The quality and variety of the food was excellent . Had a couple of minor issues with the room but management dealt with these very efficiently .

There was not specific buffet table for kids. - Juomaveden saanti tehty erittäin hankalaksi, pitää olla oma pullo / It was very difficult to get drinking water. You need to have water bottle of your own. - Kylpytuotteita ei ollut tarjolla, kuten niitä luvattiin / There wasn't bath products as promised - Wifi oli kallis / Wifi was expensive - Lattia lainehti vedestä kylpyhuoneessa jos sitä ei itse kuivannut pyyhkeellä / In the bathroom the floor waved because of water. You have to wipe it with your towel. - Osa huoneista erittäin meluisalla paikalla / Some of the rooms are located in very noisy location - Laituri ei valmistunut ajallaan / The dock wasn't finished at time it was supposed to - Huoneen vaihdon kanssa ongelmia / There was problems with room changing - 15 minuutin ilmaiset hieronnat huijausta (oli mahdotonta käyttää kahden ensimmäisen päivän aikana) / Free 15 min massage was bluff, it was impossible to use the coupon during first two days - Ravintolahenkilökunta ei osannut englantia tai oli tosi ujoja, ei tilannetajua siivota pöytiä. Säntäilivät vain edes takaisin tekemättä mitään / The restaurant workers weren't good in English or they were very shy. They bounced at the restaurant doing nothing. - Juomat unohdettiin tuoda monesti / Many times drinks were forgotten - Illallisen jälkeen et saa ruokaa vasta kuin aamulla: 22.30-23.30 piti saada kevyttä ruokaa yhdestä baarista, joka olikin vain pähkinöitä / After dinner you don't get food before breakfast, from 22.30 to 23.30 all you get is light snacks which means peanuts

The hotel can be nice but the service is slow as hell. The reception is always busy so even small things like having clean towels can take ages. We asked to get clean towels - it took 3 days! blankets took 2 days. I would suggest other hotel. Sorry

I am one to always read reviews but never write one - however on this occasion I am compelled to portray the horrible experience I had in hope no one will ever have to go through what we did. Firstly the resort is at best 2.5 stars and not 5. I am unsure where they have even got this from and question its authenticity. The website and pictures are not a true representation of the facilities at all. I will write this review accurately and honestly for the best representation of what to expect if you still decide to stay here. Pros - the staff seemed like they did want to help and tried to make a miserable experience bearable. Cons: Checking in 0- This took a very long time. If you get very unlucky you could be waiting upwards of an hour to get your room key. We had no one help us take our luggage to our room despite there being buggies to help with this. Room - HORRIBLE. We booked a suite and were shocked. Two single beds pushed together. Linen horrible and dirty. Towels threadbare and rough. Private pool full of bugs and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years - wouldn't have entered the pool even as a dare with such a high risk of getting something. No bottled water as promised in the room when checking in. TV didn't work at all. Bed was uncomfortable and worst of all the air con only pumped hot air = no sleep at night. Asked to get this sorted but no one came and we eventually gave up. Lighting was horrendous - at night we had to use our phone lights at times to see properly. Shower was never warmer than lukewarm water. We woke up to bites all over our body and seeing as there were no insects in the room (the doors were closed) I question if there were bedbugs. I've stayed in better quality rooms at 2 star hotels and hostels. Food - edible and they tried to have a variety. Not much else to say here. At check in we were told the a la carte restaurants require a 24 hour advance booking. When I came to do this they said they are fully booked 6 days in advance. Seeing as most people stay a week I am not sure how this even works. We went to check out the restaurant that was fully booked and we couldn't eat at - and to our surprise it was half empty.... Drinks - the wine at dinner was just horrendous. Cocktails had cheap basic spirits which made me feel sick and anything premium (Smirnoff etc) was charged at a huge premium. To even get served at the bar often took 20 minutes. Facilities - Gym was just horrendous. It should be shut down. The equipment is unsafe and the hotel is asking to get sued. Treadmill belt is so loose it jerks and you are very likely in injure yourself. It was truly appalling. In addition everything to make our stay special incurred an extra cost. There was no iron and we had to use an extortionate laundry service if we wanted pressed clothes. Don't get lured in by the cheap price and all inclusive nature as its just a crap experience overall. I feel scammed to have parted with so much money booking a suite for such an awful time but worst of all is the wasted holiday time which I won't get back.

Booked at Kresten with Jet2 but have been here before and we really enjoyed it. I paid over 650€ extra to upgrade the room to one that is larger and has a pool. On arrival we found the room had rising damp in every wall and ants running round inside. As it was night time there was only a porter available but he took the details. In the morning I went to reception who had no knowledge of the issues and I went through it again. At this point no one had said sorry. I said I either want a refund of the upgrade with a move to another room or a further upgrade to one of their best rooms. It had to be referred so I was asked to take a seat. 20 mins later I was asked to meet the housekeeper who was lovely and apologized and said we would be moved. I was asked to go back to reception who confirmed we would be moved to a room of the same type sometime later as they are very busy. We were not a priority! Nobody could speak to me about compensation as there is no management due to the Easter holiday. Let’s hope nothing serious happens. So at 14.00 local time today we have not moved, our cases are still unpacked, our new pet ants are still in the room and being joined by friends and family and I face going through all this again on Monday. Oh and the pool bar doesn’t open till May 1st.........

Please see below- which a true reflection of my visit -I stayed here October 2018- I sent a complaint to Jet2 and the Hotel direct - No joy from jet 2 and no reply from the Kresten villa Room The room was in no way a 4/5 star room, at the best 3 Star Sparse, bed linen stained, bathroom tiles cracked and the towels absolutely threadbare and grey Under the beds very dusty and stains on all surfaces 1 dressing gown between 3 and 2 chairs on the balcony – between 3(I did report this and the next day this was rectified) The tv had one channel working – again this is not 4/5 star, I would expect at least basic international channels Food Main restaurant, tired and poor quality and never very hot Breakfast – no fresh juice, eggs, omelets, French toast all left standing and congealed/ poor quality bacon and hot dog sausages Greek and Italian restaurants were better Poolside bar – food left standing for hours and was again extremely poor quality Drinks Very cheap, very low quality, never any sparkling dry wine, red wine was chilled, mixers had bad aftertaste and cocktails were pre-mixed! Really awful and disappointing again did not meet expectations Spa Where do I start, accosted by one of the spa staff.. no price lists had to barter a price for massage. Ending up booking massage for myself, partner and a chocolate facial and massage for my daughter £132 – The spa was noisy and not relaxing , the aqua aerobics was in the pool and you could hear all the noise, Also in treatment room there was a great deal of noise from above … somebody moving furniture .. not very relaxing My massage was ok , no nice oils or anything luxurious used. My daughter never got a facial and the was covered in chocolate smelling cream wrapped in clingfilm then told to have a shower … she’s 12 and hated it Afterward when I tried to say I wasn’t happy the lady talked over me and ushered me out .. very upsetting. I often go to spas in this country and abroad and this was the poorest one I ever experienced Gym One of the main reasons we picked the hotel was the gym It was dangerous, all of the machines was either not working or had faults. The belt on the treadmill was too loose and I hurt my knee My partner a qualified personal trainer and he said that the gym was in such a poor state it shouldn’t be in public use As you can see I have numerous complaints I didn’t want to keep going to reception and complaining as I tried to make the best of the time we had . It is just so disappointing to pay so much money and have such a below average experience. It was our only holiday this year and it just didn’t live up to 5 star expectations

Villa with sea view was beautiful. The swimming pools were great with plenty of sun loungers. The buffet food was really good with plenty of choice.The bars were well served and a good range of drinks. Brilliant staff who could not do enough for you.certainly a first class place to stay

A great place, very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful views and great pools and facilities. The spa is very professional and the staff in the hotel are very helpful. Also the food is tasty. The main city is a few minutes driving so a rented car is recommended (there is also a shuttle service)
