We arrived at Mayia on the 22nd July and stayed until 30th July. When we arrived, we were welcomed with chocolate and champagne - just what we needed after flying all evening. We signed in on the Reception's tablets which was a easy and quick process. After this, we were shown up to our room by the hotel manager. Our cases were taken to the room via lift with a bellboy. When we arrived to our room, we had a bathroom with a shower, double bed and a single bed, a mini bar (all inclusive which got topped up regularly) and a smart television. We went outside where we had a Swim Up view of the Waterfront Restaurant and the hotel next door. During the day, you could relax and take a dip in the beautiful swimming pool which was divided (one side was a big one and the other a small one) or you could go down the beach was across the road. The beach offered Jet Skis for more adventurous guests and their families. In the evening, there were a wide variety of dining (Greek, Asian and Italian). At the top where the Asian restaurant is, there is a champagne bar where you can listen to a pianist whilst you relax and sip champagne after dinner. There is a main lobby bar you can sit in and relax if you want to admire the view of the pool at night. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and informative. They ensure you are enjoying your stay and want you to have a relaxing and fulfilled holiday. I would definitely come back with my parents
We went for a week with our son. The welcome was warm and helpfull, even at 2:00 am. The traveltime from the airport to the hotel is very long, almost 2 hours. Our room, a deluxe room, was not the biggest we have seen but it was well organised. The bathroom was rather small. The room is cleaned twice a day and the minibar is filled up each day. All the staff is really very friendly besides one woman at the reception and one at the main restaurant. They do all what's needed to spent your holiday at the best way. All food and drinks are excellent and of a high standard. The hotel is the cleanest we have seen till now. If we have to tell one negative point it's the beach. Don't expect a beach where you can go easely in the water. There are to many rocks. We would recommend this hotel.
My husband and I toured a few Greek island for our honeymoon, one of them being Rhodes. We booked this hotel rather last minute as we were leaning more towards another hotel however we were weary of the reviews and decided to book Mayia instead and boy what a good decision that was. For starters, the hotel is not necessarily in the most easy location to get to. We booked a car service from the airport and it cost 90 euros one way. The cheaper alternative is to take two buses; the first is about two hours long and takes you to Lindos where you would then get on another bus which does not even drop you off at the hotel you would then have to walk about 20 minutes to the hotel the total trip time being 2.5-3 hours so be aware of this when booking. The hotel is very new opened in 2017 and very modern. If you're looking for a classic Greek hotel, this isn't it. The front desk staff were very friendly and we were taking to our rooms on a gold cart (although very walkable distance). We had a swim up sharing pool room with an ocean view that was simply spectacular. The room itself had a large comfortable bed, a living suite, fridge, large bathroom, basically everything we needed. Due to it being our honeymoon we received chocolates and champagne in the room upon arrival. We also got to choose between three restaurants to have a candle light dinner. The three restaurants are Chinese, Italian, and Greek. You must make a reservation (however it was pretty dead the week we were there and a reservation was not needed). The food at all three restaurants were good with a nice selection of traditional meals. I throughly enjoyed the Chinese which has an excellent view and is next to a very nicely decorated champagne bar. Outside the three restaurants there is the main buffet which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner. Each day the food is themed but there is a large variety. There are two pools, one is a activity pool so a bit more lively. My husband and I went out to the main pools around 11 and never had to wait or look around for lounge chairs which was nice. The pool wait staff were very friendly and quick if not, the bar was only about a few steps away to grab something. There is a tiny section of shops and food which include coffee, crepes, street foods and gyros. Plenty of food options. Being on the more pricey side, being a new hotel, and adults only the resort was not crowded at all but being such a fantastic hotel i would imagine in a few years time it will not be the same. Night time entertainment was not gin abundance. They had live music and piano playing every night but that is about it. The nightclub is open Thursday-Sunday not sure if it was good as we did not go. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel for couples looking to relax and would definitely stay again.
Amazing building and equipments, large and comfortable rooms, high level of service, really nice staff, various food and dishes : all the ingredients for having a pleasant and relaxing stay were there. Thanks for that and all our best wishes of success to Mayia Exclusive Resort and Spa.
Our travel agent had notified the H Hotels group that it was our Honeymoon and they sent us here instead. We were not disappointed! the hotel itself is beautiful (beach not so much or at least not to our taste, we prefer proper sandy beaches). However, the other half still managed to get on the Jet Skis there and loved it. The staff here were outstanding! I know people usually write stuff like this but phenomenal. The pool service was great aswell as the evening staff. If there was not a drink on the menu you wanted, the staff would happily make it for you, our new found friend Alkis was amazing. We enjoyed chatting to him every night and my other half couldn't wait to see him. We were given a sea view suite with infinity pool with a complimentary bottle of Rose Sparkling Wine and it was beautiful. Couldn't fault the hotel itself. The food was amazing especially the Asian restaurant (we wish we had have booked in there every night). I didn't see many people using the Greek restaurant (maybe this could be changed to something else), I understand you're in Greece however, a lot of the buffet menu is Greek so you're not really getting anything different other than the view. The fresh fish was lovely (even though it is a buffet was still juicy and not dry as I would have expected). The head chef continuously on the look out for anything out of place or renewal etc. It is the perfect place to go if you literally do not want to do anything but relax as we did, however, there isn't a lot to do around there, i.e go for a walk as the next villages/towns are a bus or taxi ride away. The maids were a little noisy also whether cleaning the next room (banging the walls and moving furniture) or talking along the corridors as it echo's quite badly and many times woke me up. As long as you can put up with this (or maybe are up earlier than us) then I would definitely recommend. And even better that it is an ADULTS ONLY hotel, still activities around the pool but peace and quiet. Beautiful
The service we received from the staff was exceptional. The Resort was extremely clean and well maintained to the highest standard. The rooms were cleaned twice a day. The resort is really exclusive.. food was excellent. I dont have any reason to complain at all. The experience was really fabulous. We travel a lot and stay in 5 star hotels and have stayed in the best hotels round the world. Mayia Exclusive Resort is great value for money and ranks among the best hotels i have ever stayed. The Ladies in the Spa are also very kind, friendly, respectful and extremely hard working. We had one of the best massages from them and we really enjoyed the experience. The Ladies are George, Zoi, Anneta, Vicky and Katerina.. The have pobably one of the best SPa's in the world and you wouldn't be dissappointed with the quality of service and professionalism. We plan to visit Mayia Resort in future
This was the first time we had stayed at an Adult only hotel, Fantastic to have a summer holiday without the children. They had a great fitness programme run by Pink Positive all the staff were amazing. Hotel was lovely two great outdoor pools, we had some issues with our rooms, aircon stopped working and issues with the hair dryer. We had to move rooms and ended up with a room not as good as the original but everything worked. Food in the Asian restaurant was superb! The food in the buffet restaurant could have been better.
Thank you to all the staff at Mayia for making our holiday perfect. The hotel is beautiful and immaculately clean. Special mention to the pool bar staff Artzen and his friend who have perfect service skills ...... we will be back
I am not going to waste too much time reviewing this hotel. It's adults only all inclusive HEAVEN where the house champagne is Moet !!!! It is an almost brand new hotel and everything looks like it just came out of its box ! The architecure of the hotel is to be seen to be believed. Very original. There are better hotels in Europe, but not many. Their gymnasium is as good as some private gyms back in England and the spa facilities, which are free, are extensive too. This place simply oozes class. No waiting, queueing, noise, worrying or any other negative factors. Do the TUI Rhodos by night tour which is fab, and get the bus to Lindos about 3ish one day, more fun and just as easy as a taxi and a fifth of the cost, to see this place .
My partner and I enjoyed the best experience at this hotel ever. From the moment we stepped in, it had the WOW factor. All of the staff cater for all of your needs at all times and it is just perfect in every way. The food is amazing! It’s lovely being able to dine 5 star at the al la carte restaurants whenever we wished. The nightclub was a nice touch, had it been a little busier. However we still enjoyed ourselves! Alkis at the del mar bar was amazing! He got to know you on a personal level, always bringing you another drink. You didn’t even have to ask but he would already have your drink ready for you. Very professional waiter and made us feel at ease. Also, Altzen at the senso bar was fab. Always chatting away, and would make sure we were ok. He made us feel welcome from day one. He ensured we always had a drink even when he was busy. We became great friends with him and looked forward to relaxing at the pool every day.
