Conveniently located near freeway, on our way traveling across country. I and my wife were quite pleased with the quality of the rooms--spacious, comfortable beds, nice fixtures. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Several restaurants on site. Nice casino. Great place to stay.

Clean room. Comfy bed. TV reception could be better and use of remote somewhat confusing. Coffee too strong of blend for use. Shower really blasted you and no means of adjustment to slow it down. Shower gels and shampoo not good.

This hotel is centrally located, price is reasonable, and the service is great. Front desk and Valet rock :)

Hotel overall was OK, bed was comfortable and the room clean. The major issue with my stay was that due to the hotel's proximity to Hwy 80 the highway noise permeated the windows of the room, thus highway noise at all times of the day & night. I will not be staying here in the future.

Great staff, nice, clean, and comfortable room. Very reminiscent of the casinos of the past, had some of the older slots that I love to play. Would definitely recommend as an alternative to the corporate mega resort casinos.

Non-smoking room was non-smoking. Nice that lobby was also non-smoking. Pool was fun, has a slide.

The new upgrades made to the rooms are excellent but the cleaning is no perfect, I found a Chewing gum in the sink and a napkin in the floor! The bed was so comfy!

Excellent place to stay, very good deal. There is a inside pool with spa for all age. My son had a lot of fun there. It will be perfect if there is more staff in reception.

Have stayed at this hotel many times. Always a pleasure to stay here. Rooms are very nice. Easy access to pool, exercise room ( which is being remodeled), restaurants within the casino and outside the casino. Love the easy abscess on and off the freeway.

This hotel is right off I-80 and has a variety of dining options.

The check-in was easy, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor of my room was very 80's Laura Ashley. The manager commented that the tower I was staying in was being renovated and the decor would be mountain lodge modern. He said it would be finished by the end of June. That sounds nice. The casino is very laid-back and fun. The downside was that I was there to get to an early flight out of Reno Airport. The shuttle didn't start running until 5AM, defeating the purpose of my staying there. I had to take a cab. I've learned my lesson. I called around, and most of the other hotels start at 4 or 4:30 AM.

The Nugget is very good, a nice Casino scene, food, and shows. The room I first got was on the freeway side, too noisy for me, I'm noise sensitive, but a request at the front desk got me on the other side: No problem. Nice. Both rooms were well insulated for other-room noise, tidy and nicely laid out. The TV worked, the internet worked. The bathroom was fine. The hot water was quick, and quite hot. Nice. Complaints: The advertised hotel room price is then jacked up by a mandatory resort fee that makes no sense to me-why not just advertise the total price. But I'm sure some quick talking dude can spin an explanation. But all in all, the place is fine and fairly priced (even with the resort fee) during the week. It's more than a walk to the downtown Reno's casino scene, but minor issue. I was here to ski and I was happy. Walking around Sparks during the day is nice and I found some okay Pubs.

Love the indoor hot tub or even better, the rooms with jetted tubs for a small upgrade fee. Nice staff, good food and plenty to do

The hotel's new owners have decided to decrease the cost of the rooms to attract clientele but then run the place on a skeleton crew. When I arrived, the valet parking was backed up due to lack of drivers and when I went to check in, we had to wait a long time again because they had only a couple of agents at the check-in desk. I asked for room away from the train tracks as the last time I stayed there, I got no sleep due to the sounds of the trains all night but this time, I heard the freeway all night. Apparently, when they built the hotel, they must have neglected to put insulation in the wall and I was on a high floor. Then, I wanted to go down to have a nice meal in a good restaurant but they don't have any of their premium restaurants open during the week (they should at least keep one open every night) and I ate in the coffee shop which had a very limited menu. Then the next morning when I went to check out, there was only one valet working at the valet desk and he had a line of about 10 people in front of me that he had to take care of by taking their ticket stub and going to retrieve the cars one by one after locking the valet desk each time he had to leave. Very inefficient and definitely not good service by any stretch of the imagination. I did tip him extremely well though as I felt sorry for him trying to take care of everyone by himself. All in all, a very disappointing stay

My family and I did enjoy the hotel the Rosie's restraunt was very afforadable. The one complaint was the ice machine on our floor was out and the very very long wait time to check in and out I counted over 27 groups of guests in line with 1 attendant. That was frustrating especially with two young children standing in a rope line

After visiting the dump in Reno known as The Sands, this was a much better alternative for about the same price. Rooms facing the highway are noisy, but fan masked the noise. Other side would be quieter.

Neighbors kid crying till 11:00 Worried about my vehicle Woke up at 2:00 checked out

I was allowed to go home early because roads reopened, I was overcharged for my room and 4 staff refused to refund the remaining 2 nights on my reservation. Evacuees beware, this hotels staff will keep your money, even if you're there due to a natural disaster.

I was stranded because my town, in the Sierras, was cut off by flooding and road damage, made a reservation for Friday-Monday through Orbitz on my phone, after I bought phone charging cords at ATT. Nugget let me check in early and the check in gal was nice. I explained that I may get to go home early, if the roads open. She said, "not a problem, just call Expedia first". Saturday morning, my husband said the road was open and going to stay open. I called Orbitz, who called the hotel front desk staff, who said "we can't refund the money". I ended up paying $296.70 to stay less than 24 hours. I have appealed to both Orbitz and the Nugget management with no relief. Do Not turn to Orbitz or the Nugget in a crisis, they will rip you off and take advantage of your vulnerability. When I got to my pickup, it had been vandalized in the parking lot.

Friendly and professional staff. Good restaurants. Would be nice ro hava a non smoking gambling area.
