Check-in Needs Better Training

We really enjoyed our trip at New Hampton. The only hitch was check-in. We walked in around 6:00pm. There were two people at the counter. The male assisted us. Just as we walked through the door and before we even got to the counter, the male asked for our ID. There was no welcome at all. He was knowledgeable but was right down to business. He handed us our room key without explaining what room number we were in or where to find it. We ended up parking on the opposite side of the building as where our room was. The next day we went to the front reception an inquired about some headache, medicine and water. She was very friendly and helpful and we found out that the previous night we were not provided with the water package and that we were not told that breakfast is served in the morning from 6-9. Besides the check in, our stay was quite enjoyable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the complementary breakfast.

Reserved a suite for a 10 day stay. On arrival, no suites available. 10 days in a standard hotel room. Tried to extend stay for a one day earlier arrivals and had to pay almost twice the daily rate of our stay. The free breakfast was worth the price.
