This time we ended up getting a room at the back of the hotel, which was facing a parking lot a dumpster there train tracks just not nice
The front desk staff seemed to be primarily trainees; there was clearly a communication problem. They were unaware of requests I have made on my original registration and a follow up phone call in advance of our check in. They initially registered us to a room that was already occupied. It took a long time to check out. At one point, a clerk wrote down my credit card number on a piece of paper on the desk, clearly visible to anyone who walked by. After that, the staff I encountered were unfailingly polite and helpful. Perhaps they should try to have at least one person over the age of 21 to help greet guests and iron out difficulties. I did not like the policy of charging for an entire reservation unless you cancel a few days in advance. I will not stay at these hotels again unless they change that policy.
