, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fairfield Inn, Redding. The premise looks brand new, updated and cleaned. Service was excellent, staff was friendly and courteous. Warm cookies upon arrival. Breakfast with eggs, omelette, yogurt, fresh waffles, cereal,. They even had vegetarian sausages that were actually very tasty. The accommodations were on par with hotels costing far more. The only Downer, if you can call it that, is the funky location at the edge of town. It is only out of the way was nothing around it but other hotels. Yet, still conveniently located and minutes away from anything in Redding. Definitely worth a return visit. They have a happy hour with free wine and beer and food. What's not to love about this place.
The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is was great. Fresh lots of fresh fruit, strawberries, grapes & bananas, hot oatmeal, toast, eggs, waffles, yogurt and much more but Reyna was especially helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Paul Mitchell toiletries. The sink is in the bathroom/shower room which work for us better. Free wifi. Will definitely stay there again.
From the moment we checked in until we were ready to leave after our two week stay - everyone was fantastic! Dwight greeted my husband and said he remembered him from two years ago. Riley, also front desk, was always helpful and friendly. Tiffany (front desk) offered immediately to get the coffee refill - even though we were on our way out - so sweet and accommodating! Robin, kitchen attendant, always friendly, helpful, thoughtful and kind! She definitely goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is awesome! Fairfield is not my favorite Marriott accommodation, but this place is exceptional! And newly remodeled!
Rooms were as expected for a Marriott, clean and nice. However the breakfast staff, Reyna Castillo in particular took very good care of her customers. She's very friendly, efficient and made sure we had everything we needed. They do have "Jack" the Hotel Cat who showed up at our door a couple of times. We're cat people so we allowed him in and he slept on our bed through the night. He's a nice addition to the place.
This hotel is exactly a hidden gem in Redding. Exactly what you would expect from a Fairfield. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable hotel then this is it. I would not hesitate to come back. The best part about this hotel is the staff!
The hotel was going through a renovation when I checked in. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was great. I booked a king room and it was like they said it would be. Nothing fancy. The gym had a nice set up but alittle tight. But it worked. I did have one issue with the room and my workout I went into the bathroom to take a shower and I noticed that the soap had been used and left behind. Both bars. Lucky house keeping was on my floor so I was able to get some soap. Went downstairs and let the front desk know about this and they were very apologetic for the problem. There is only one place to eat around the hotel and I would recommend the deli across the street Killer sandwiches. Overall hotel was good and next time I am in town. I will be staying here again.
Being in the hotel business for many years I can be overly critical. But this place is very clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and show great pride in their establishment. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We just needed a comfortable space on our trip up I-5 to spend the night. Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, and cozy room all came together to make it a positive experience. A few minor things were detracting: leaky faucet in bathroom, lack of places to charge our phones and tablets. But overall better than average.
I'm really on the fence on giving this 4 or 5 stars but the awesome breakfast tipped my decision (more on that later). The property is very modern and well kept with a gorgeous lobby, it looked like they were painting the hallways and i think they had just replaced the carpets so they obviously work hard at keeping it up to date. Our room had two queen beds (super comfy) but it was super cramped! I was wedged up against a wall and actually had to crawl out from the bottom instead of the side. This seems to be the norm for many of the newer Fairfields and it's annoying! As if to make up for it though, the bathroom was huge. They do have studio suites and id recommend that if yiu can get one (we hoped we our elite status might get us an upgrade but alas, no). One of the reasons i choose the property was the managers reception: they had draft pale ale and wine and some Chile, bread and cheese. The Chile was truly awful, I'm a big guy and not fussy but i couldn't finish it, the beer was also kind of flat but the wines were tasty The real star here was breakfast. This is one of the only hotels I've stayed at with gluten free bread, they had Udi"s bagels! This was huge for us as one of my daughters has celiac disease. My other daughter is vegetarian and they even had veggie sausages! They also had bacon, 3 different kinds of eggs and waffles. They even had grapes. This is definitely one of the nicer properties in town.
A very nice stay. The room was a little small (no small table, but there was a desk and a easy chair). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The happy hour (mid week only) was great. The location is a little out of town. There is a very good deli within walking distance. Overall I ejooyed my stay a lot.
