We were unexpectedly delayed in our travels and tried to cancel our reservations. We spoke with the orbitz rep who said speak to the hotel. We called the Fairfield and spoke with Emily the evening manager. Emily told us we would be charged even if we didn't show up. She said she would try to sell the rooms but no guarantee. This resulted in part of my family staying 3 hours away waiting for auto repairs. This wound up costing me for an additional hotel room and splitting my family up for the night. When we arrived I was insulted by the clerks ruddiness and our rooms were located next to the stairwell and elevator. It was noisy to say the least. I feel this was retaliation for trying to cancel our reservations. This will be my last stay with Fairfield by Marriot.

Enjoyed everything about the Fairfield. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast have many choices and was delicious!

My wife and I were vacationing in Rapid City for five days in March 2017. The hotel is centrally located at a convenient intersection of major highways which provided easy access to all attractions including Mt. Rushmore, The Badlands, The Black Hills and Devil's Tower. There was a drive to each attraction, but that was expected. The hotel was comfortable, the breakfast was better than expected. I thought it was advertised as a Continental breakfast, but it was a full breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean. My only improvement to the hotel would be that hotel staff had better knowledge of directions. We tend to rely on the internet and GPS, but that is spotty in this part of the country. It's a small critique, and it would not prevent me from staying here again.

Great location. We travel from Chicago IL.After long traveling late in the evening around 10.00 P.m Checked in in the room there is no hot water. Next day morning also having same problem. Its kind of warm water but not hot enough to take shower for me and my wife. Breakfast was good,Water park is great, staff is really good and cooperative.

Go to be Honest...Great Staff, Clean..but you can hear every word thru the walls and every step above you...never get a room with someone above you. No Noise Barrier.

The room was clean. Basic amenities. I would stay again. Kids lived the waterpark. Close to everything you need. Easy to find.

The hotel was conviently located as we were traveling in highway I 90. The checkin was easy and the staff was very friendly.

Manager was VERY RUDE!! She was not polite Seemed to hate her job.

I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are beautiful and clean and comfy. The staff is friendly. The access to the water park and restaurant made our stay (while moving across the country with children) fun and relaxing. And did I mention how clean the rooms were? Seriously, I walked in and could smell the clean - not the cleaners - just the freshness of everything. It was wonderful. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Very comfortable hotel, like the colors used in the rooms and the breakfast room is bright and cheerful, a great place to stay.It is also close to lots of shopping and it is very easy to get to the Black Hills area from there. Staff was friendly and helpful!

Little more focus on customer attractions is required. Such as showing near by attractions and must see places so that the locations are easily shortlisted for the customer instead of wasting time to chose.

We needed a place to stay in Rapid for just one night. The hotel was conveniently located next to the interstate on the East side of town. The hotel only provides 2 complimentary tickets for the hot tub which is inside the water park. I would not recommend this for a romantic get away.

Great hotel and great waterpark. Everyone had a great time.

Great experience and need to write 50 characters to get discount code

Loved the hotel and the staff was awesome, friendly and helpful! Great weekend get away for the family!

This hotel was priced right and a great location while we were traveling through the Rapid City area.

Waited a year for this vacation and the hotel was a nightmare, anywhere from the maids not cleaning the room to the maids dragging large trash into to elevator while just trying to get down stairs .Then stopping breakfast early saying ran out of eggs? You would think they would have planned ahead knowing there would be more people than normal since it was a holiday. And if booking this hotel for the water slide be prepared to pay for daily passes. Paid over $200 a night and still have to pay to swim. NOT A VALUE. Very disappointed!

Had a big group (9) in 2 rooms. Larger Suite room was poorly laid out making it very difficult to get to the bathroom when the couch was opened into a bed.

Good value for a restful night's sleep. Familiar quality for a Marriott

Overall experience was good the beds were comfortable, the room was always clean and fresh. There were a couple downsides to it though. When we booked the hotel it stated that it came with a pool and hot tub. It does not! The hotel is connected to a waterpark that you have to pay to use,. So that was an unexpected extra amount we had to pay for. All in all I would say the stay there was pretty good though.

Thank you for commenting on your stay. The waterpark is a big hit with children! It is nice to have a place they can wear themselves out. I will share with the staff here as well as at Watiki about the fun your family had here. Dawn Hedges General Manager
