The staff didnt have the knowledge to quickly check me in. Took forever, at 130am its hard to wait more time to get to bed because of poor training. Everything is old and not well mantained.. found a big creepy crawler in my room...

Such a great stay, this is a clean, attractive motel, even the parking lot was beautiful! Rooms and beds were comfortable, staff was very friendly. I look forward to staying again, as I will be traveling in that area frequently.

all of the staff i can in contact with was very friendly, the only issues was the non smoking room had to smell of smoke, and the heat did not work properly

Generally hotel is not bad. Location and atmosphere are good. There are good resaurnats around Hotel, like Chinese, Korean, Italian and grilled steak house. Further East shopping gate and Mart are very close and quite convenient. But I ask you to consider once again if you are sensitive to interior and equipment, as hotel looks like old ski resort, too old.

The entire family went to Chapel Hill to drop off our son for lacrosse camp. We stayed one night at this hotel. The location was great, room was comfortable.

Concenience is why i need a room for a nite on the town and this hotel is on my way to the ball game and close to town. Staff was fine and breakfast was pretty good too.

favorite hotel when visiting my son at school its clean, beautiful pool , grounds, and green space all around

I spent one night there and glad it was only one night. The staff was nice and friendly but the room although was clean but smelled, cigarettes? it was suppose to be non smoking room. Breakfast was good.

We were coming into town for a work trip and since spending a very minimum amount of time at the hotel we decided to save some money and go with a cheaper place. That was a bad decision on our end and seems like it all backfired on us. When we got there and checked in the gentleman gave us our room key and after traveling hours we entered a room that smelled moldy, stuffy, and the handle was hanging off the door. The a.c. unit was taken apart and there was a big blower sitting on the floor trying to dry out the dampness. Anyhow, we got switched to a (supposedly) non-smoking room the second time. The room reeked of smoke and there were cigarette burns in the blankets and appeared to have burn marks on the counter. After starting to get a slight headache, we called the front desk again and they said "oh (insert odd laugh) someone must have smoked in there when they weren't suppose to". I find it very hard to believe with the level of funk that it was one person breaking the rule. So they switched us to our third room. Again, suppose to be non smoking. It smelled just as bad. We didn't have time to deal with switching hotels so we stuck it out but were very disappointed in the hotel. We also arrived to the hotel from a work event after midnight to find our key not working which was very frustrating. We had to go back to the lobby to get the key fixed so we could get back in our room. I also had trouble charging my phone in one of the outlets unless the cord was hanging out of the outlet a little. I moved outlets and the next day my charger wouldn't work at all. I am convinced that my perfectly fine charger cord was fried by the hotel outlet. The hotel could have been cleaned better, smelled better, etc. I knew I was taking a chance by going with the cheaper option but use this review as caution to you. I'd spend just a little bit more to stay very close by and not have to deal with these issues.

It has been a very long time since we have stayed in a motel that costs the same as this that was as clean, well-staffed and offered the same value as did the Quality Inn at Chapel Hill. We will stay there again for sure as we frequent the area for UNC swim meets. I can recommend this establishment without reservation (however, reservations are suggested!).

I stay here every month and have only good things to say

We were visiting our daughter who goes to school in the area and stayed here for 3 nights. The pros: friendly, helpful, professional staff at the desk, comfortable bed, great breakfast with nice variety, comfortable room, decent equipment in exercise room, coffee/tea always available, overall good value..the cons: motel style ,outdoor walkways , asked for fridge microwave but our room didn't have it. (We were given an entirely new room with those items), get "large sliver" of soap, small sized shampoo and conditioner, but can always ask for and get more, carpet didn't seem vacuumed as same wrapper was on floor every day, sink stopper didn't work, one leg of ironing board was busted. The main problem was its location, tucked onto a service road, adjacent to the major thoroughfare...This made it hard to find , especially at night, unless you are familiar with the area. Still. Given all this, you get fine amenities, good staff, good breakfast, comfortable bed and room space and we will definitely return!!

Clean room and nice staff. Good location for a trip to Chapel hill.

Good place great value would stay again. Location was good.

Power went out around 4am, therefore complimentary breakfast was lacking. Did not want to take a shower in the dark. Difficult to find things to leave. Hotel did not apologize or offer any discount for having very little in terms of comfort.

Located in a great area with lots of restuarants and high priced hotels (4 star across the street).

Things were clean and up to date, but I felt the price was still a bit expensive for the type of hotel.

The staff were nice and helpful. The location was close to the University. Overall is was just fine:)

Slept well. No problems with neighbors or the room. TV worked fine, shower was all good.

Overall the room was not very soundproof...could hear people walking and rolling their suitcases in the middle of the night outside the room. The worst was that the pillows were small and not very firm. When we asked for larger foam pillows we were told that there were no other pillows or types available. Sleep was terrible!
