This is a great location, super close to Franklin St. The hotel is new, so everything is really nice! The staff were all also extremely friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient and the bed was very comfortable. The only 2 things that weren't absolutely perfect were 1) the A/C was a little loud and hard to get to a good temperature and 2) the door to the bathroom is a glass slider (like a barn door). It doesn't lock, and it's basically like it no door at all because you can hear everything like it's not even there. It's also really loud every time you open or close it because it clanks against the wall, so if you get up in the night, you are gonna wake up anyone else in the room. Just not the best design for a hotel room. But that certainly didn't ruin our stay and I would definitely stay here again!

Very friendly, helpful staff. Great location.

The location is great, the staff is fine, the place is clean and the staff are friendly. However, maybe a little too much attention to being cool. The rooms do not have a radio, a dresser, or a microwave. They do have a low-pressure ceiling-mounted shower (kind of like being out in the rain) and square toilets (unfortunately my tuchus is round).

The staff is great. very accommodating and friendly.

The damaged wallpaper needed attention and the floors needed vacuuming. The room safe had been left locked. The front desk promised quick attention to that but it required a second call to get help, and the service person who came blamed us for forgetting the code as if we could have known the one the prior guests entered. The safe was too small for our laptops even along the diagonal. The light brown warm beverage labeled coffee at breakfast was to coffee what flavored water is to fruit juice. But they have little sachets to fill by the elevator, the staff was polite to me (rude to my 18 year old son), and the location a couple of blocks off of Franklin Street adjacent to UNC was excellent. $10 underground parking per day allows unlimited in and out, which was convenient. I felt reasonably safe parking there with the contents of my son's dorm room loaded in the car. This property probably doesn't deserve any name associated with Marriott, but if you go in with the right expectation, it's fine.

Great location. Clean, modern design

Extremely well thought out design. Simple modern and posh.

The hotel was very clean. I liked the fact that the TVs had Netflix on them.

Great location, close to UNC and Franklin Street. Nice, new modern hotel with comfortable beds, spa-like bathroom, and lovely lobby and outdoor patio. The only complaint was the street noise one night. We stayed on a Wed and Thur night. Wednesday was perfect. On Thursday, the music from a nearby bar was extremely loud - ear plugs couldn't even drawn out the noise. That would be my only hesitation when considering whether I would stay here again. I understand it's in a central city location, so the same thing would likely happen at any other downtown hotel.

weird hotel could not sleep at all something’s wrong with the rooms

The hotel is very well maintained, clean, and close to everything in chapel hill. The room was clean and being a neat freak, I was very impressed with the clean bathroom. One minor downside for early risers and coffee drinkers is that the room coffee was pretty bad. Otherwise very happy with the hotel would definitely recommend to a friend.

Brand new hotel, very nice, efficient staff, and an awesome European style breakfast- unexpected but very nice!

Stayed in hotel on their second night after opening. Comfortable rooms and attentive staff. Loved their nightly bar opening with signature cocktail. The only downside was the parking garage which was difficult to maneuver in if you have a large car- and a steep ramp to exit Really liked the room lighting and many outlets for recharging phones and other devices
