Excellently located hotel with unique character. Rooms are large some have air Conditioning and some don’t. Great service and very helpful staff. Roof terrace allows for socialising but lots of local bars and restaurants right on the door step. Would highly recommend and is excellent value for money.

This place is comfy, clean, lovely architecture and has great staff. You can’t ask for much more than that. There’s a nice roof-top terrace and the reception sells beer etc, to keep you refreshed whilst enjoying a relaxing evening up there. Default breakfast is continental (toast) in your room, but you can ask for a Mexican desayuno the day before, and also choose to eat on the terrace (recommended!)

Comfortable room - good bed, a couple of chairs, individually controlled a/c and heat with a remote. Perfect location in the centro histórico. Friendly staff and a good boutique hotel vibe. They bring a continental breakfast to your room at a prearranged time (more or less). If like me you want more than one cup of coffee in the morning, I liked the nearby Café Mané. Also if you have any mobility issues, note that the second floor rooms are accessable only via a long staircase. Would absolutely stay here again.

Location is fantastic in the center of the historic district. El Serafin offers 3 different types of rooms. We booked last minute and got a rather small room, Acasa. I would recommend the next size up which we happened to look in to, which was very good sized with a sitting room. The internet was absolutely horrid. We kept getting disconnected - repeatedly. I don’t think I was ever on for more than 5 minutes consecutively. Breakfast is coffee (no refills), juice, toast, yogurt and fruit. We read some reviews which indicated an issue with excessive noise. We had no such problem.

El Serafin is a small hotel with a great location, terrific atmosphere, and friendly, helpful staff. Our room, Tierra, was lovely, large with high ceilings and antique furnishings. Every night candles were lit in the courtyard and on the stairwell and there are great decorative touches throughout, providing a wonderful atmosphere. The shower head was inadequate and the breakfast could have been better (a second cup of coffee would have been nice). Querétaro itself is worth a visit, full of colonial buildings, great museums (don't miss the calendar museum!), and some excellent restaurants.

Our recent one week stay at El Serafin was absolutely wonderful. The location and charm of the hotel can't be beat. We stayed in the Aire room. The room was a great size. The bed was comfortable - though a bit hard. But that is sort of the Mexican standard. Our room was kept spotless with daily maid service. The simple European breakfast was very good and we looked forward to it each morning. It's delivered to your room at your specified time from 0730-1000. The only improvement I can think of would be to add a boiled egg to the tray for a bit more protein. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some know more English than others. But, they were very patient with my marginal Spanish. We didn't take advantage of the honor bar service. But, we loved that they had it available.

We enjoyed 3 nights’ stay and the gracious hospitality of Maria, Ceci and staff. The room was comfortable with all necessary amenities. Breakfast of fruit, yogurt, toast, juice and coffee was delivered to our room each morning at the time we requested. You can’t ask for a better location in the Centro. We look forward to our next visit.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the city center and within easy access to many wonderful sights and restaurants. I was traveling solo and felt quite safe. The staff is gracious, the room was tastefully appointed and reflected the charm of central Mexico. They provided a classic Mexican desayuno - coffee, fresh juice, fruit and yogurt. Perfect way to start your day. The wifi was great! This place is a jem and a wonderful place to stay.

Our group stayed one night in two different rooms. We were very pleased with the appearance of the hotel, it was exactly like we imagined after seeing the pictures. We did not want to stay in a chain hotel during that trip to Queretaro, El Serfain was exactly what we were looking for - time period - Mexican colonial style, small and comfortable. We had one room on the ground floor and one room upstairs. Rooms were large , comfortable, unusual in design and decor. The room on the second floor turned out to be a little too noisy, with some street noise getting in. Recommended parking is about 300 m away. Breakfast was on a lighter side, but the service lady kept bringing toasts, butter and marmalade as we requested. Coffee was good. I cannot say if the hotel staff speak English or not as we try to communicate in (limited) Spanish whenever we can. Overall - we were pleased. We would come back if ever visit Querataro again.

We loved our stay here and were very impressed with how friendly the staff were. My husband had to print out and scan a long document and they let him use the computer at the front desk! The rooms are very nicely decorated and also very clean. There are several nice common areas to sit and relax, complete with fountains. The location is great too, right in the historic center of town. If you are sensitive to noise, I would recommend the downstairs rooms, as there is a karaoke bar close by that is kind of noisy.
