This hotel is far away from the pedestrian area and you´ll need a taxi to go anywhere. Furthermore, taxis will have to make some loops, because the hotel is located on a highway, hard to reach. On the other side, it has magnificent views of the city, mostly from the bar. It also has a restuarant, a coffee shop and a shop. The lobby and bar have a very roomy and modern style. Our room was ver y simple for a suite; the bathroom had a shower, no tub. When we stayed here, there was an important soccer match, and the place was full with famous former players and TV reporters.
Well fist this is a Crowne Plaza, so the rooms are comfortable, as are the beds and amenities are very good for the price. What blew me away was the View from the very large floor to ceiling window in my room, stunning views of the city. Breakfast traditional Mexican, cooked fresh along with a great selection of fresh eggs, mellon, sushi and everything you can think of, again stunning views. A very nice hotel. Many thanks
for what i am spire elite and what the program is there for I still dont undrrstand in this IHG group no breakfast free no real good upgrades one of the reason was to choose the hotel because my friends told me it has a great view over the city and thats true as got there first only received double bed what is not want i need and want so asked for suite as upgrade and was told i get a better room what was basically big crap in the back no view and pretty horrible. as service so horrible settle down there as made no sense to tackle them another time as could not follow them where they coming from... manager send next day apologise letter but I dont want nice words I always need actions clearly did not happen in this hotel so overall find other hotel
After staying at 9 other hotels in town, I now stay at this hotel exclusively when in Queretaro. The view is fantastic. The breakfast is the best of any that I have experienced in town The staff in the restaurant in the morning are wonderful friendly and attentive, I always feel welcomed. My schedule requires me to leave at 6.10 am. I would go into the restaurant and wait for them to open and they always accommodate me as soon as they are ready often before the 6 am open and I REALLY appreciate that. The lady that makes omelets is so sweet and kind and cannot be beat. The reception folks are equally friendly and I appreciate their attention too. The only 3 reasons why they are not 5 stars for me 1 - and probably not the hotels responsibility but there is a Starbucks on site but is not consistent on opening time so I can never plan for the coffee so my driver takes me to another Starbucks that always opens on time. 2- the shower heads need replaces and some spray wildly 3- the shuttle only runs you to the airport and I think charges you. I do not use the shuttle because of that and lesser hotels offer better shuttle services. Overall. I am very happy with this property and the staff is great
Crowne Plaza Queretaro I arrived around 1:00am – As a Spire member was upgraded to a suite. This one was huge and beautiful – wish I could have stayed another night. The bed(king) super comfortable and the room was nice and spacious and had a beautiful view of Queretaro. Single stall bathroom and shower was nice with lots of amenities, mirror for makeup, hairdryer, and a robe and swan on the bed and slippers on the floor- really nice. Restaurant – hotel has a very ample buffet – and staff was very attentive. Staff – very very helpful – I had some computer and phone issues and they spent a lot of time to help me and went out of their way to connect me with clients using their own operator. Gym/ Pool – didn’t have time to see or enjoy Hotel is quite far from the airport – though if you are going somewhere downtown – everything is far from the airport - I understand now that if travelling from Mexico City or any other “nearby towns” just take the bus. The ride from the airport was almost an hour. TIP: leaving the airport one can go left or right – both end up at the same place but if you are arriving during afternoon traffic – go LEFT to San Luis Potosi – you will not run into so much traffic.
the hotel is located at the summit of the city, it has an incredible view to queretaro city a city with no pollution lights are spectacular it is very unique view hotel buliders took advantage of it and guests can profit it, food and service of this hotel outstanding, all guests dine at the hotel and many city visitors also visit for drinks and food
I prefer to stay at this location to Holiday Inn next door. Price is comparable, yet rooms are much more modern. I suggest getting a room on the upper floors for the view. Restaurant is standard hotel type fare for the area.
Check in was smooth and efficient. Asked for City view and higher floor and had to take the elevator down??? Confusing but neat you enter the hotel about the 5th floor. Colleagues on the trip did not get city view and they were looking at rocks and parking structure so you have to ask for the city view. The elevator would not move unless you had your key in the slot to press the floor number. So have your key ready! The room was big and spacious. I could not get Air conditioner to work. It was a "green hotel" and you needed to put your key in a slot to get the power on in the room. After 30 minutes of the a/c on had to call front desk as temp was actually rising. On the second attempt 20 minutes later they did finally send someone and he determined I needed to put it on the Heat setting as something was wired backwards. Pretty frustrating hour trying to get comfortable. The bathroom was marble and the shower was built for royalty. The breakfast was great and full of wonderful choices. They had a nice gift shop on the premises and also some great meeting rooms if you needed a private place to call. My cell signal in the room only worked if I sat at the window but the internet worked fine throughout the hotel.
Even though there is a bit of a language barrier (mainly because of me), the staff is more than helpful and always greet you with a smile. The city view rooms are the best with the rooms on the other side being somewhat noisy as the hotel is close to a busy road. The restaurant has a variety of food available, so you do not have to eat the same thing all of the time. Stayed twice so far and will book it again on my next business trip to Queretaro.
I stayed here for 5 days on businesses. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms are very clean and well stocked. My thanks to the housekeeping staff. They are remarkable. The restaurant is very good as well as the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.
