Great upgraded and newly renovated hotel - excellent location to visit sites nearby - the staff was prompt to assist and the restaurant was open long hours - shuttle to the airport was very handy to have
I recently stayed here for 8 days, the service was great. I was traveling alone and I don’t speak Spanish, the team here was very accommodating. Ask for Geronimo for your waiter, he made my visit especially wonderful and speaks fluent English. Try the steak tacos, they are amazing! They also provide you consistently with a water bottle in your room which is a nice touch.
Rooms are spacious but need a refresh, mini bar empty, bathrooms are sub standard, no amenities. The restaurant looks terrible and breakfast service is awful - I had to ask 3 times to get a cappuccino and it took 20 minutes. Check out is super slow and if there is a line, you cannot get out of the elevator since there is no space. Oh, and they charge 35 pesos for tip for room cleaning!
Recently I spent 2.5 weeks at Courtyard Marriott in Querétaro. The room was spacious and clean, comfortable bed. Every day of my stay I received at least one or two bottles of water which was incredibly useful in Mexican weather. Restaurant offered a great variety of delicious Mexican and European food. I would like to say special thanks to Geronimo and Hugo waiters for their high-quality service, friendliness and positiveness.
The room was pretty good in size and the bed an pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was spacious! The staff was OK but in mexico ok is bad because normally the service in mexico is extraordinary, they were not helpful during our breakfast. We had to ask like 3 times for coffee and water, the buffet had a lot of options but not many healthy ones. Good price but average service!
I have just stayed at the worst Marriott hotel in all my business travels. I have been staying with Marriott for 4 years now, but was very disappointed in this one. The staff was very rude, particularly the valet. I waited more than 20 minutes for someone to come to park my car. There was no one at the entrance of the hotel and reception is on the first floor. When I finally found someone they were rude to me. Another important point: safety. There isn’t any safety in the area (a bad area), and I am surprised that Marriott has a hotel in such a location. The hotel restaurant is subpar. Global cleanliness is average. Everything looks very old, dusty and deteriorated. This hotel shouldn’t be under the Marriott brand: it gives all hotels a bad name.
A colleague and I were on a business trip for six nights. Day 5, she said her room was not cleaned, nor bed made. When she complained, front desk told her that ‘do not disturb’ hanger was on the door - a total lie. Day 6, after a long day, I came to the room, and it was not cleaned. When I called the front desk, the guy told me he will investigate and call back. No call back, after 1/2 hr, I called and asked them, same story, I told them that this was a lie, asked who the manager was. Of course, this was 10 pm at night, My flight was at 6 am. So nothing I could do. If there was no housekeeping at 10 pm when I complained, who did he check with? Same thing happened in my last trip. I will not stay here again if I have a choice. I believe that this franchise is taking advantage of customers and feeding nonsense. This has left bad impression of this place.
I ended up here when my regular hotel was full and I would stay here again. The service was very friendly and efficient, the room was spacious, and the price was reasonable. I didn't find the food in the restaurant, however, (I ate here for dinner and breakfast) to be that great. I also wish that the desk chair in the room was higher quality. I ended up doing most of my work from the nice couch that including a small stand for food or drinks while I worked.
BED BUGS !! A kind advise. Im not going to go into more detail, but I have bites all over my chest, arms and on the whole face. The bed bugs infested my luggage, and now, two weeks later, I have a bed bug infestation in my own flat back home! Avoid this place.
The Courtyard Marriott in Queretaro is a modern hotel with very nice rooms. Everything was new and clean and the rooms nicely appointed, but the very best part of this hotel was the staff, and the restaurant waitstaff in particular. I am on a very limited vegan diet and the waiters were very accomodating and very happy to coordinate with the chef to create meals that I could eat. I was worried about travelling in Mexico and being able to find food that fit my diet, but the restaurant staff at the hotel outdid themselves to make available such great meals that I ate all my meals during my trip at the hotel. Special recognition and thanks to waiters Geronimo, Eduardo, Hugo and Edgar and the chef for their help in making my stay especially pleasant. Thank you all, I would definitely choose to stay in your hotel again the next time I visit.
