Amazing views, perfect location - very close to the town centre, it's convenient to walk everywhere. However, room was not attempted to be cleaned during the stay. I was offered clean towels though.

After a long trip, we arrived 1.5 hours early. We asked if it was possible to check in early because we needed to use to restroom. We were informed we could not check in early, yet the young woman at the front desk asked if we would like to complete the paperwork for our room, while we were there. We did so. We asked if there was any way we could use a restroom, we were told no. We asked if she could point us in a direction for the closest restroom available. She said back in town. We ended up back in town at a restaurant to use a restroom. That night when walking the park across the street from the hotel, we found a restroom approximately 2.5 blocks from the hotel, when walking across the street and to the right. Much closer than walking back to the town area. Also, the doorknob to the door entering into the hotel room kitchenette was almost completely disassembled. Because of the tumbler for the key just turned and turned. Because of the helpfulness, poor professional interaction with the desk clerk, and her less than helpful personality, I took a knife from the unit's kitchenette and screwed the screws holding the doorknob back together so we could use the doorknob to access the hotel room again. I would not stay at this location again or recommend this hotel to another person due to the overpriced cost to purchase a room during the holidays, the condition of the property, and the lack of professional interaction with hotel staff.

If it was real estate it would be called a fixer-upper. Built in the 60s and little done since. Mismatching garage sale furniture, unpredictable hot/cold shower, ancient kitchen, gardens and driveway a mess. Fixtures broken, areas unpainted. Very expensive for what it delivers which is zero luxury for the price. Only wins are the location is and the bed pretty comfy. Staff were fine

Very cold room so need the heater on all night as no extra blankets. No toiletries provided so make sure you have your own. Despite being opposite the lake and in a prime location its very noisey with foot traffic and vehicles from 6.00am.

Keep your expectations realistic and you won’t be disappointed. It’s an older property and in a state of disrepair. It could definitely benefit from a major renovation. Kitchen is a bit primitive, bathroom ceiling could use some work. However, you can’t beat the location and the view. Comfortable bed and great staff. I’d stay here again despite the rustic qualities.
