Very cold room so need the heater on all night as no extra blankets. No toiletries provided so make sure you have your own. Despite being opposite the lake and in a prime location its very noisey with foot traffic and vehicles from 6.00am.

Keep your expectations realistic and you won’t be disappointed. It’s an older property and in a state of disrepair. It could definitely benefit from a major renovation. Kitchen is a bit primitive, bathroom ceiling could use some work. However, you can’t beat the location and the view. Comfortable bed and great staff. I’d stay here again despite the rustic qualities.

Not worth your money. Staff lack communication skills - very poor english. Mould in bedroom, no hot water for our stay- went to/ contacted administration multiple times to address the hot water need in winter, to no avail.

Incredible view at a great price. Balcony was a bonus and eoukd be great in warmer weather. The bathroom was large and immaculatly clean. The kitchen was a bit tired but perfectly functional and there are so many options to eat out or grab a takeaway within easy walking distance it realky wasnt a problem. Perfect location for getting to all the attractions in town. Overall if youre on a budget and want yo spend your money on going places and dling things but would like a nice view and a comfy bed yo return too with no frills then this is the place for you. Late check in by lockbox was easy too. Staff were happy to accommodate this.

The location is excellent- the property itself is very old and rundown, but comfortable. We regarded it like an old Kiwi bach (we are Kiwis) rustic, but comfortable in it's own way. Reasonably priced for Queenstown!

Noisiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in

Very noisy room, booked 2 nights but only stayed one. a lot of street traffic all through the night (Sunday night at 1am was still busy) and it was a hot night and the rooms have no fans or air conditioning so we had to have the windows open, which made the traffic noise worse. Plus at the back of the hotel is a back packers Accom, and they were partying across the road directly below our room all night. Great location and great view, just don’t expect to sleep.

Great location….easy walk to town. However the property is old and badly needs updating. Only a key lock on door….no deadbolt….room was very noisy due to proximity to street. Lost power in the room the morning of our departure.
